Hello,
I've installed arm version of orion viewer, a well known pdf viewer for fast pdf file loading, on my nook hd+ CM10 today.
When I open any pdf file with orion viewer, there is no problem of loading first two pages (no problem of browsing first two pages back and forth), but when I get to the third page, the app shows the third page for less than 1 sec, and goes back to browse menu AUTOMATICALLY!
Tried to debug it myself by enabling debug option provided in the app, but nothing shows up on the debug log.
anyone experiencing same problem as mine? or have solution for this issue?
thanks,

I am using a stock gtablet. I am having an issue with applications crashing or not starting. Example the ACV comic viewer opens and then after turning one or two pages crashes. Does anyone have an idea what I can do to solve this?
Sorry if this has been discussed, but search seems to have been down for a couple of days now.
Recently I renewed my library card and so wanted to check out reading borrowed books on my rooted Nook Color.
My main computer is a desktop running Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx, which has Adobe Digital Editions successfully installed under WINE 1.3x. I can check books out from my library and then it downloads the .acsm file to my computer. Then, when I click on the .acsm file the book opens in ADE just fine. However, that's where I'm stuck.
When I plug my Nook Color into my computer via the USB cable, ADE never sees the Nook Color for me to authorize it. I'm also running Calibre, and when plugging the Nook Color in it sees the device just fine and I'm able to transfer non-DRM'd books to it. When trying to transfer the files through Calibre, Calibre immediately tells me there's an error and there's no software to read the file on that device (paraphrasing error msg).
Has anyone using Linux been able to successfully borrow books from their library and upload them to their rooted Nook Color?
Thanks!
Robert
I use Overdrive Media Console on both my Nook and my Nexus1. I have been able to check out DRM'ed epubs and audiobooks (MP3, but not WMA) from my library, download them into device via wifi (or 3G too for the Nexus).
Unfortunately there isn't a desktop Linux version of the OMC software (there is Windows and Mac), but you don't really need it. It even supports the automatic deletion when the lending period is up

Click to collapse
Thanks for the reply. I did install OMC. However, wwhen I follow the download link on the browser page it takes me to another browser page with HTML-looking text on a white background. Am I doing something wrong, or is the software acting up?

The same thing happened to me yesterday. After several attempts in Dolphin, Opera, and native nook color browser, I was able to download my book using the latest version of firefox.
The first time I tried with OMC on Dolphin HD, I got that same HTML screen. I either moved the storage location to the SD card or just rebooted (not sure which or both), but that fixed it in Dolphin. YMMV
I have a rooted NC 2.2 Froyo. Everything, by and large, works splendidly. Youtube, gmail, chat, etc all seamless.
My biggest problem is the nook e-reader app.
1. It won't sync
2. epub files i load to the "document" folder are erratic. Some show up, some don't and most won't even open.
eg. this morning i loaded 10 epub books into the folder. 3 appeared in "my files" and only one opened.
I tried clearing the cache, trying different folders, only loading the epub files without the image file...nadda.
Any help would be greatly appreciated since i bought my nook primarily for reading.
Oh, and when i try to open certain games i receive the message "Information about your device cannot be retrieved due to an unstable platform status. Please restart the application."
anyone? anyone?
FBReader
HI,
Not sure what your issue is, but I was reading books on NC SD card Froyo using
FBReader successfully. I also used Calibre Library to access my ebooks on PC,
served from Calibre (Open source ebook manager) (Doing same now on emmc version
of Cyanogenmod. (CM7/14)

Talks about a problem on Honeycomb version, perhaps it is also for Froyo Versions?
Good luck, I have been enjoying my NC a lot for ebook reading!

Is there a way to watch Amazon videos on the Nook Color? I have the hulufix installed and tried the Dolphin browser, Opera Mobile, and xScope. TIA
Cm7 on SanDisk sd card, nightly 172
Dolphin hd
O/c 1200
Use Amazon full site
A free video worked fine for me, though it was choppy at times, not hd. Did take about 30 sec to load.
Don't know you're config.
Thank you, freonchill - that was an easy fix
For anyone who might not know how to change to "desktop" at least with the Dolphin browser, here's how:
Menu - More - Settings - Dolphin Settings - User Agent - Desktop
A lot of websites also have a link at the bottom of every page to view "full page" or "full site" that will reload that page add the full desktop site. If it doesn't, then you can use barbo's advice. There is, also a plugin for dolphin that adds a button to the toolbar that allows quicker switch from Android to desktop mode. Also like using gestures in dolphin to switch between regular and gwt modes.
Is there any way to control the video quality? The videos run fine at low quality, but the video player keeps figuring that since I'm on wifi, I want max quality which the nook doesn't seem to be able to handle.
I feel like I should know the answer to this question/problem, and that it's a simple answer, but I'm stumped.
My HD+ previously allowed me to view embedded videos in facebook and other flash content but it updated to the 2.1.1 software last week. Now when using the stock browser, I get "flash player upgrade needed"; when using Firefox or Dolphin, an embedded video looks as though it starts (I may even hear a second or so of sound) and then freezes or goes black and that browser app quits working. I installed the "Browser plugin" from the Nook store with no fix. I installed the flash apk from leapinlar's thread, after having enabled external sources through his thread, with no fix. I am not rooted.
However, when I boot into my N2A SD card, I have no browser issues whatsoever. I can view embedded videos to my heart's content.
Why? What can I do to fix this other than move back and forth from the Android side if I want to see something in facebook? (Or is that the answer at this point?)
Thanks in advance for any help.
I'm running stock and Flash content work well in Firefox. It sort of works in Dolphin as well, but it hangs quite frequently in Dolphin, so I've switched to Firefox for Flash content.
