Can someone point me in the right direction (or to the right sticky) that will help me with icons. Have download some of blackbearblanc icon packs and want to use them using UCCW, but when i go to image in UCCW i cannot find the icons. If i browse around in file manager i cannot seem to find any reference to the icons either. I have apex launcher if that helps.
Cheers

Hey guys, im just posting a little help thread for thos who want a 2.3 looking device!
Needed:
Launcher Pro
GingerBread Icons
Launcher Pro can be found in the App market, as for the icons, i have found a Rar pack, containing many icons.
head over here and download the Rar!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=870691
after the download, move these to anywhere on your SD Card.
Longpress the shortcut on the Launcher Pro Dock, select change icon, it will prompt you to select a photo, select which one corresponds with your shortcut.
**NOTE** The App Drawer Icon Is Included In This Package
can anybody help me with a guide etc. im trying to create an icon pack for desktop visuliser i have searched a fair bit but still nothing, im currently applying icons by selecting image from the menu, is there any way of creating an icon set so that it shows up in the menu "icon pack" from within desktop vis, also is there a way of putting the packs on the market place?
The only icon packs available are from the developer of the app. If I were you, I'd contact the dev about either finding a work around or maybe send the dev the icons to see if they'd like to package them up for release.
The way you're doing it now is the way it's supposed to be done. I use Desktop Visualizer for different sizing options, but I use Folder Organizer far more. In Folder Organizer (the paid version) you can assign each app its own icon, and then place it on your homescreen as a widget or shortcut.
how do i use the easily available icon packs? i have found a number of icon packs, but dont know how to use them! i would like to change my homescreen AND app drawer icons, can i do that without rooting? is it possible without using any launcher?
i am currently using Go Launcher, can i change the theme icons? This icon pack is for Go Launcher as well. And this one is zip folder pack, how do i use this for my apps?
or do i need to install any other launcher?
please tell me in detail here or link me to a beginner's guide, im reallyy noob at this, and NO i wont be rooting my phone for this.
thanks

To use icon packs which are in apk format, you have install them like any other app and then use any custom launcher like Go/Apex/Nova to apply them via their theme chooser.
To apply icons which you get in a zip, you'll have to use desktop visualizer.
I made a video on how to apply icon packs.
I have a few icon themes of my own. Check play store link and the last line in my signature.
Well, you can use Go Launcher to change app icons, it also supports icons which is included in themes you use. you can have multiple themes installed in your phone and use those themed icons simultaneously, just not in the app drawer since app drawer only allows 1 theme at a time, homescreen does not have this limitation though.
You can also use Custom Icons which you can customize depending on what kind of style you have in mind. You can use these icons to change your homescreen and dock icons. Do not fear, none of these requires anything like rooting(Though in time you will find yourself being curious about it and eventually rooting your phone, take note, it's not a bad thing! It actually is the best thing to do if want to unleash the inner Android of you device! :good.
You can PM me if you have further questions, I also use Go Launcher btw.
So I found a theme template that has compatibility for go launcher, adw and launcher pro...after exploring the folders I found what I have found in the few templates for go launcher....i can't find the icons that are specific to the theme...for example in go launcher there is this broom icon for clearing history and in the app drawer on the bottom right and left corners there are buttons for doing stuff. Also there is a whole menu drawer of icons i cant find int he drawable folders for go launcher. How do i get change these icons? I cant find the location of them so i can;t replace them. Do i have to edit the xml?
In another template for go launcher only i was able to find the icons for the menu..but after replacing them they didnt change..as well i couldn;t find the locations of the little broom icon etc...
Currently I am using Arrow Launcher by microsoft, and the nougat icon pack, while most of my icons are affected by the pack, some more obscure apps and their icons are not effected, therefore i want to create my own custom icon pack which will work on Arrow. When I look at some of the tutorials, they use a different launcher like nova or go, I don't want to get Nova or Go because they are kinda clunky for me, nor do i want to pay to remove ads.
Does anyone know how to create a icon pack that could work for Arrow Launcher? and can you help me make it?
