Which latest ROM for GPS and HOW to flash it ???

Pardon my ignorance but I am confused with so much technical info here. Loads of ROMs , radio roms, RUU, SSPL, NBH .... etc etc etc.
I have got HTC P3600, original, unlocked to any network, bought in UK from expansys. So not sure whether it got CID lock or not but certainly not locked to any network / no sim lock.
I want to know:
1. Which is the latest GPS enabled ROM available TODAY, which I can use to flash my device ? (where language remains English!! and bass or other bugs solved, if possible)
2. Is there a way to find out before flashing that whether device is CID locked or not? and whether it needs to be unlocked before flashing.
3. How to flash ROM ? Kindly, I need step by step guidance from A to Z.
Which files to download, which to execute first and basically everything you need to do in order to flash gps enabled rom.
I will be much obliged for this help and guidance.

All you have to do is to download this:

And after connect your p3600 and run the exe.

Yes i do..
Only the extended_rom stay the same...
You have to be supercid for edit the extended_rom but....

No the sspl it is included in the exe....
Just download this:
LVSW_RUU_Trinity_HTC_WWE_1.23.800.2_6275_1.38.00.11
Connect your p3600
And run it.....
That's all..

Hello ausdim and everyone else,
I've also got an HTC P3600 and I bought mine from a shop and it came SIM unlocked. Do you think my P3600 is CID unlocked? and this rom http://rapidshare.com/files/21139137... p.exe%7C which you have suggested dr_s to download, what is it? Is it an HTC Rom?
Would appreciate any help.

ok, here's are my simple questions
1. is the ROM RUU_Trinity_HTC_WWE_1.23.800.2_6275_1.38.00.11_Ship.exe and official ROM (e.g., is it a test ROM from HTC)?
2. I have an unlocked P3600; do i need to CID unlock to flash with the RUU_Trinity_HTC_WWE_1.23.800.2_6275_1.38.00.11_Ship.exe ROM.
4. i understand that the rom
LVSW_RUU_Trinity_HTC_WWE_1.23.800.2_6275_1.38.00.11 is a cooked ROM. Yes or No? What are the benefits of using this ROM.

No. This was cooked based on the Dopod release.

No. It uses SSPL.

I believe that this is the same ROM as the "ship" version you asked about.
I have tried both the Dopod ROM as well as the "ship" ROM, and my preference was to stay with the Dopod ROM. The green dialer skin did not apeal to me, and I had some other issues that I don't remeber at this time. The official Dopod ROM, however, (especially after being patched with Pof's radio update), has been great!

Swisscom branded Trinity has GPS and tomtom preinstalled...

Yes all true, a friend of mine just bought this package on a 2 year contract for CHF560. Now that is a good deal! His is not getting 3G...yet. I'm sure we'll be able to turn it on with a reg hack.

I have a small problem. I try to update HTC HD mini from danish ROM to WWE ROM but no effect. Give mi some errors. Can you guide me how to make it and what kind of HardSPL i need.

I want to buy the HTC Mini in Italy and install either the English or the Spanish ROM. Ar those the files I need? Are they official ROMs with no changes? Which one is the English one?

hm, so wait, help me out here.....
i read these forums and hear from some ppl that say "no, u cant change the ROM language because htc built the original language into the phone, and u must wait for the HARDSPL"
and then tehres these threads with language roms....
so do these roms actually change the phone language??

All of these ROMS are made by HTC,
These ROMS are signed and everything, the one thing that might prevent it is if it is locked out in the SPL, from changing languages. But this would be it.
These ROMS are all signed by HTC though, and are all official ROMS.

No hard SPL
You can't change the rom ( language) whitout it.
Youre phone dosn't get broken, dosn't accept the new rom and wil do a reboot.

and no Goldcard service from PSAS (PSAS cant create goldcard... how I wish old QMAT times! (sighs))

I have flash the new 1.32.401.2
I have flashed the new 1.32.401.2 with success,
from 1.07.407.1 from GER ROM.
BUT after that, i have problem with RADIO, i can not get signal from the GSM network, i must say that i recognized the SIM.
There is a radio to flash alone, to fix it?
Or other configuration that i should do?

Did you put the cover back to your phone after flash ?
Also, you can install the hotfix from HTC site. It contains a new radio.

Rom date:10/14/09
Radio version:4.49.25.17. Now,how i can update my rom version,or these is the last version? I try via HTC,but,i am confused! Please help! Thanks,and sorry for my bad english!

- I want to use the latest OS available, but that is not possible officially so I am here .
1) I need to install Hard-SPL Unlocker for Topaz, from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=520312
2) The touch diamond radio is already 4.49.25.91 so no upgrade require.
3) I need to select a OS from here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=486) and upgrade.
Now I am not able to ask any question on the above forum as I am new here So I will keep reading to find my choise...

You are in right track
You need to do the Hard-SPL to upgrade the ROM. Once you are done keep trying some ROM and you should get one for your style .

omnia today

hello i got my omnia today its my first wp7 phone had sgsII before i lost it
how do i install mango on this device? is there any easy guide? Odin on sgs was very easy!

in about 2 weeks, mango will be out officially, so just wait some more time and you will be able to upgrade it via zune.

i have an omnia 7 too and i would suggest you wait. no point installing the RTM build now then in two weeks installing the device specific build. you will lose games/apps etc and would have to reinstall again

so its also possible to update a brandet (T Mobile phone) to Mango ??? with Zune??

updating via Zune is the correct way, end users aren't meant to phone flashing

but all apps are very laggy even the facebook app by microsoft i lagging like ****!!

Everyone should wait for the official mango release via zune (which should also include a radio/firmware/bootloader update) . But we don't exactly know when it is going to be released. We can say that I8700XXKH2 is the final version of Mango for our omnia 7 so you can wait or flash that ROM

cant take 2 weeks with this rom i need swedish keyboard and faster rom.
How do i install is there guide? if i install rom manually can i easily install official later ?

Languages in this Rom are only five (eng French italian Spanish german) so i'm not sure there is swedish keyboard. The guide is on this same section and yes you Can go back to a retail nodo Rom to install official mango

use I8700DTMKH2 it's perfect for you

If you have TMO DE ROM on it right now, you can update even without reflashing. You can deploy the .pks that comes with the ROM (and reflash just bootloader back to WP_PRODUCT later). It updates everything from 7720 MS - it includes all OEM specific driver updates (radio, SPL, drivers).

If you have NOW TMO DE ROM, you can just UPDATE the drivers without reflashing and losing everything! That's what I was trying to say.

the forum on that swedish page is almost dead? no ones writes there?!

I have never Tried Mango RTM so i can't tell you if there is swedish or not. But remember that everytime you want to "go back" you Will have to flash kc1 Rom or others with nodo, which means loosing every kind of datas in your phone..such as games or apps.

I personally didn't flash a ROM, simply because you don't need to. I followed this guide:
