[Q] Photoalbum wiped and missing - restore?

Hello,
As the topic says, somehow all my camera photos are missing from the internal memory of my Xperia Z (10.3.1.A.0.244). I don't know how this happened, either it happened spontaneously after video recording or I did it accidentally when I tried to remove a different folder when connected to a Mac (im not used to Macs).
I am trying to find a way to restore the deleted files, but it only appears in Win as a MTP device, which can not be detected by recovery softwares.
It seems like the only way out is rooting the phone before I can restore any file according to this guide. However to root my Xperia Z I first have to flash it according to this thread. If I flash it, will I still be able to recover any information from it, such as my lost photos?
Would be very grateful for any advice!!

the only thing i can recommend is repair via sony suite,
if that doesn't work, just send it back in for repairs.
it sounds like an internal storage issue. my incredible S did similar things shortly before it died.

You can try this.
You will need root access for it and usb debugging enabled
Tried it. But with trial version of software you can only preview lost data and the full version is too expensive :/

Camera not Working

Hello guys.
I changed my battery, and after that, unlocked the phone on the Motorola Website.
Everything alright, except my back camera is not working =\
Already opened the phone to see if the camera cable was untied, but was connected.
Made factory reset on fastboot, reinstaled ROM via RSD, and nothing worked =\
Anyone got any solution?

Strong bump.
No answers? :/
I think u have some bad luck. Had this on one of my Razr I's. It could be the camera module that is faulty, but the mainboard can also be damaged. In my case the mainboard was bad and didn't work with a working camera module. Got spares so could try things.
U already have tried new software, so it couldn't be that.
Sorry for my noob feeling, but: when i install CM11 or the original rom, does all the drivers/files be reinstalled?
Could anyone tell which files are from them?

Yes, every single file, driver and firmware we can flash and have access to will be flashed when instaling the stock or CM rom. The stock rom even provides some boot firmware files.
