So the stock status bar and the nav bar (the bit at the bottom) are a shade of grey.. It's nice but it could be nicer. In fact, it'd be nicer if they were black!

I've also changed the background of the toggles on the notifications screen to black as well. Looks nice, huh?
To use this, just download the zip from here: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?vqrpd05vwocamvgand flash it in recovery. Simple!
How it was done:
This was done by editing SystemUI.apk. I created a 100x100 black PNG, called it tickle_black, put it into drawable-hdpi and changed two xml files:
At the top of status_bar.xml, I changed the code to look like this:
<com.android.systemui.statusbar.phone.PhoneStatusBarView androidrientation="vertical" android:id="@id/status_bar" android:background="@drawable/tickle_black" android:focusable="true" android:fitsSystemWindows="true" android:descendantFocusability="afterDescendants"
xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
xmlns:systemui="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/com.android.systemui">
Click to collapse
And the same sort of thing for system_bar.xml:
<com.android.systemui.statusbar.tablet.TabletStatusBarView android:background="@drawable/tickle_black"
xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"
xmlns:systemui="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/com.android.systemui">
Click to collapse
And that's it. Easy!
It not work...

Transparent statusbars are harder to do now than with Gingerbread. It's not just modding xml but smali as well. And that's still beyond me.

Right, I have an idea..
Load up your recovery menu and go into the 'Mounts And Storage Menu'.
Do you have the option to 'Unmount /sdcard' or do you have 'Mount /sdcard'?
If it says 'Mount /sdcard', can you select that then try flashing the zip please?
In theory, that should fix the issue.

Hi everybody!
Just wanted to share a mod that will change the stock lock screen to a different style.
Not sure if this is an earlier lock screen or just something LG didn't finish developing.
First off you need root access.
Using a root explorer navigate to your build.prop file located in the system folder. Find and edit this line:
user.feature.lock_sui=true
To:
user.feature.lock_andy=true Reboot and that's it! I like it a lot more than the old one.
Here's a screenshot.

Nifty little trick. If I didn't use WidgetLocker I'd use this.
Edit: Just tried to edit the build.prop, I can't. Using Root Explorer, I click it, nothing. I then press and hold and select open as text, can't edit it.

I can make but smali files used in this guide are taken from guides only. So maybe posting the same guide violate the rules of XDA.
Moreover I have already made it for most ROMs for mini then why u want to make it urself

I can make but smali files used in this guide are taken from guides only. So maybe posting the same guide violate the rules of XDA.
Moreover I have already made it for most ROMs for mini then why u want to make it urself

because this file and the one i made are all the same, it couldn't start at all, may be you just needn't to make the guide but please provide link to files like working smali files and the tools you used

Anyone test it... Download link updated
just now i unlock bootloader and rooted my phone
i want test it the rom 78%
@Ben Ling
Great, thanks!! Altough I won't test it because I've used your Deodexer.
BTW, have you included the X-Reality patch within? Because X-Reality won't work if not.

It does work on 402, but you have to install a patch made by monx and Auras76. They no longer share it though, who know why?...

If I unlock and root my device, would I be able to use my PC Companion to load Sony's official updates still?
I don't wanna flash another ROM. Just have the ability to clear some bloat and use Xposed

Thanks. How do you change the battery icons? I installed apk but there's no app. Also. Lost the filled in buttons of the pixel mod.
Edit: ok, need to download paid app from play.
doesnt work for me, system UI crash. could substratum be the problem?
edit: tried to disable everything but nothing, still UI crash :\

yes, installed first "MinitBatteryResources.apk " , then reboot in twrp and flashed the "Nexus6P3Minit.zip".
what else can i do? :\
edit: i have installed the apk from here, not the paid one from the store like you

I still needed the paid version to download icons after flashing both. Most likely substratum causing it then.

Those are the files from the framework folder.
You are on Remix right now, right? The last Remix I did for Pixel XL was deodexed. I wonder why yours isn't?
The files that would be present if it is not deodexed would be in the same folder where you gotta the SystemUI.apk but further in
