Hi there. I also own C6602 (13W07). I'm from europe (GSM 800/1800/etc.) and got the same problem.
Selecting the only option ("USA Band") in *#*#INFO#*#* switched off the ability to find network.
SIM contacts are still available. So sim card must not be dead.
Also had a side-effect: clicking on almost every application icon works after a long lag (or after a 10th click)
And as a side-effect-II: possibly disapeared ability to use built-in "CD-disk with Sony PC Companion Software" when connected to PC with USB cable
Restarting, changing band in other menus, Airplane on/off not helped a lot.
Have a guess that *MAGIC* hardreset will solve this but not tried 'cause i'm not syncronized yet
Haven't seen you for a while. Did you solve your problem?

No internet while on roaming

I recently updated my Galaxy Note to the Samsung provided ICS update.
I am now running the following.
Android Version
4.0.3
Kernel version
3.0.15-N7000DDLP8-CL551076
[email protected] #3
Build number
IML74K.DDLP8
After the update my phone did have internet connection. But about 24 hours post running the update, I am now not able to get Internet connectivity, on roaming.
My Data roaming option is checked.
However, I am getting a notification in my bar
Data roaming
You have lost data connectivity because you left your home network

Kindly advise.
This thing i have experience some time ago.
I have set network operator selection - 'automatically' and issue was solved.
I have it set to Auto
have you tried contacting your provider if there are problems with your account?
Zapped through server hops to XDA forums

Why don't you set it to manual instead of auto
After seeing it to manual select your operator
Done
This method had helped me once
Just give it a try
Alternatively you could again ask for internet settings from your operator

I have tried both automatic and manual. I have also tried GSM only/WCDMA only and WCDMA/GSM auto. Still no joy.
Ok I did a factory reset. Now not only is there no Internet but when I try and make a call it says "Not registered on Network". The signal meter shows full Signal.
I have set the Network type to Auto, and I have 3G activated on my SIM. Also checked with Airtel and they have confirmed the same.
Notification screen showing wat?
If it shows Emergency call only then youe device not connected to network
Use WCDMA Only
I had the same problem earlier with LPY Open Germany. I set Network Mode to WCDMA only and got the 3G network while roaming..... try this if helps...
Same here....but got solved somehow...i dont know what happened i was automatically connected after 8 hrs or so...i thought it was a problem from my service provider...

I took my Note to Samsung Service Centre today. The lady registering my complaint simply yanked out the battery without switching it off. When I switched it back on miraculously all my complaints were gone. The phone worked properly for another 8h or so.
Now at the time of writing this post, I have no internet connection, however this time I have no notification either.
So, I would like to know is it possible to check for myself whether its a carrier issue or a mobile issue?
likely carrier issue. have you check your sim in other device?

Fed up while switching ON data.. :(

What is the problem of Sony? Every time I tried to switch on the data, it never gets ON at the very first attempt.. Everytime I need to go to settings, and toggle between 2G/3G.. It is very annoying.. :'( this was the case with my arc as well so it is indeed Sony's problem.. I can see full range but cannot connect to data even after many attempts.. :'(
Plz don't give me answers that try updating/ repairing.. Already did that..

If it happened with your previous phone, how sure are you that it's the phone's problem itself and not your own mobile carrier's issue?
At my end, there is no such issue as you mentioned. When I toggle data, i get connected right away. No need to tinker with the 2G / 3G toggle unless I want to fall back to 2G mode to conserve battery.
Don't understand you.
You want to switch from 3g to 2g?
When you turn data on it automatically switch to the 3g. And you have lte version, then It should switch to lte. Depends on your settings actually.
If you want to stay on 2g
Go to dial pad and type *#*#4636#*#* then phone information and set from there.
If you want to switch between them then go play store and find an app. I am sure there's one.
Other than that I have no idea what you're talking about cause I've owned arc s, s, tx, t, zl, and now z. No issues at all. Either your apn settings are wrong or sth with your carrier.
You didn't understand.. Whenever I try to switch on the data, it never gets ON at the very first attempt(2G/3G).. I have to go to the settings and change the modes manually between GSM, WCDMA n then data is switched ON. Similar issue was there with Arc also..

Do you do FULL WIPES when you repair your phone?
Did you use sus? Sus is better than pcc.
Might be your apn settings? Check for the most updated apn settings for your carrier.
Last choice is flash a unbranded ftf file.
If that doesn't work, flash a rom or sth.

Phone repaired, now can't connect to 3g

Hey guys,
So i broke my Xperia Z (C6603) screen 2 weeks ago and just got it back from my insurance company a few days ago.
They somehow unlocked my unlockable bootloader and also sim unlocked the phone. I was not disappointed with this
But, i can't connect to any 3G networks since getting my phone. And since my provider only supplies 3G and not 2G, i'm screwed.
I've factory reset, flashed various stock roms, 244, 423 and also flashed CM10.1 and CM10.2. No luck! I figured one would have a baseband that worked properly?
Everything else works fine, wifi, calls, nfc etc. But when i go into *#*#4636#*#* and try to set the preferred network type, i can't select LTE etc, it just defaults back to WCDMA. Also i have no option for LTE in the mobile settings network type (i did previously). Only WCDMA only, GSM only or WCDMA (preferred)/GSM. The last one should work, but still can't connect to 3G networks. Every time i try, it tells me "could not connect to the selected network, check your sim, blah blah". But it connects to the 2G variant of that network just fine.
My APN settings are fine, as i copied them from my HTC One on the same network. And the imei isn't blocked according to my provider.
I have tried another sim and this sim in another phone, so there is nothing wrong with my sim cards. And i doubt there's anything wrong with the sim card slot, since 2G wouldn't even work then. I'm on Three UK and have phoned them for help, but they were useless and fobbed me off to my insurance company.
Any ideas? I'm pretty much out of them
The fact that they unlocked a locked bootloader and SIM unlocked the phone sounds a bit dodgy to me.
You could try downloading the APN settings, go to Settings>Xperia>Internet settings.

Yeah i was thinking that myself, and have read reports of them sending people replacement phones with blocked imei's etc (stolen phones).
Think i'll be sending it back to them. The internet settings didn't work, but thanks for the suggestion

Yeah probably a good idea, get them to explain why they had to unlock the bl and SIM lock in order to replace the screen!

Yeah i am.
How do you find your signal? Obviously having no 2G network is, in some cases, a disadvantage.
I only ask as on my HTC One S my signal was fine all the time, now with my Z I find my signal patchy and it takes a while to find any.
Oh and I wonder, does your My3 app work? Mines not working anymore, it always thinks I'm on wifi so won't open any payment pages.

My signal on the Z was always great when it worked. On my HTC One it's not so good. The three app won't work on my Z, since i obviously have no data connection at the minute. But i never had any issues with it.

I9305 2g network not work

Hello! I have one big problem with my i9305 - when only 2g network is avalible on the air, it shows that not registered to network (so i cant make calls, ect). I tried to flash ACIS latest 5.1 android, but problem is still here.
Maybe someone knows how to fix it?
Thanks for advice!
Which modem are You using?
I tried to use XXUFOI1 version, but it changes nothing. If its important, my country is Latvia and phone orginally comes from Norway.

I think your problem occured beacause your device works only in 3G and 4G so you can't get 2G.
But why device works only in 3/4 g? In antenna additional info I can see, that phone gets signal from tower, but can't connect. You think that antenna is different?

Yes may be so u can fix this problem like that:
-Go to your settings and click on mobile data the you'll see the type of the connection so select automatique.
