[discussion] Evervolv AOSP ROM - Nexus 7 General

I am in no way a dev or contribute to this rom, other than flashing it. i noticed there wasn't a thread for evervolv rom for the grouper, but there are nightlies for it. If i'm violating any rules on xda i'll take this thread down.
"For those that don't know what evervolv is, Evervolv is an AOSP (Android Open Source Project) rom. We're fully open sourced and encourage it with no restrictions. The work put into this rom is community driven and Evervolv Project is made up of numerous members and contributors."
Right now the current source we are working on is Jellybean (Android 4.2.x)
You can find us on irc.freenode.net in #evervolv (or by using the web chat).

AW: [discussion] Evervolv AOSP ROM
Maybe I'm blind but I don't see neither a release nor a nightly for Grouper.

It's the one that says evervolv-mirus, it says grouper at the end of the file.

[Q] [JB AOSP][How to compile to Captivate?}

My question is where can I find a guide for compile for AOSP JB ROM for Captivate?
I do have some knowledge in packaging ROM to a zip file.
I saw that there is an AOSP ROM called [JB 4.1.1] Monfro Aosp, but I couldn't find any open source repository for that.
I'm not looking for CM or AOKP, but merely AOSP.
The guide on the cm wiki will be close to the same, you just need to use the aosp repo instead of the cm one. Where is the aosp repo? I have no idea. Google is your friend, bout all i can say.

AOSP vs. AOKP

Does anyone know what the difference is between AOSP and AOKP?

Well aosp is code taken from Google itself and aokp is the code plus other kanged (taken from other people) things best description I can give I'm sure someone can explain better
Aosp = android open source project
Aokp = android open kang project

Basically AOSP means pure android, compiled from AOSP Google source.
AOKP ROMs are based off AOSP, but include many mods and tweaks. Some come from all over the place, hence the name 'kang'. They are compiled originally from AOSP sources but highly modified.
AOSP is pure Google android
AOKP is a custom ROM project, like CM based on AOSP

[INDEX] Google Nexus 4 - ROMs, Kernels, MODs,Guides, Recoveries, Themes [10 Apr 2013]

Hello Folks!! Welcome to the Index of ROMs from the Android Development Forum for Google Nexus 4. :highfive:
I just started using this forum and found that there was no index thread to navigate easily to different roms, kernels, etc. So i decided to create an Index for Nexus 4 android development
This index is not yet complete,i am trying to index all the stuff but it will take some time till then bear with me
First of all, which ROMs are included here? Well, I just search and choose the active threads (even if the ROM doesn’t have any recent updates) must. Perhaps you can find some outdated ROMs that are still functional. Please remember, the most important thing is to read the thread of the ROM that you choose, take a look at the benefits, user reviews, bugs, FAQ, etc. And then, flash it. Of course all the feedback is welcome, if you see some wrong information or want to see a ROM added/removed, you can post a reply in this thread or send me a PM.
Some useful info for beginners:
4.x.x is the Android version.
AOKP stands for Android Open Kang Project
CM is CyanogenMod
JDQ39 is the most recent build number as on 10th of april.

yeah!!Nexus 4 development is way too fast, but i guess that's the reason we all bought Nexus 4
I believe one of these is already being maintained. In the general section, they have a sticky roll up that links to this index.:

Within that index, there is a link to this directory:

Not to say your effort isn't appreciated, just wanted to point it out . Good luck!

Thread for Flemmard CM11.0 version?

Github network map shows Flemmard developing a CM11.0 tenderloin ROM
I assume built with 3.4 Kernel?
Has a discussion thread yet been designated for Flemmard's ROM ?
Is Flemmard's ROM yet available/recommended for testing?

Based on the stuff in his repo, he's only working on the device, not a ROM.

[Discussion] VanirAOSP 6.0.1 Samsung Galaxy S5 [KLTE]

Hello everyone,
I have been on a search for a regularily updated ROM based on AOSP. Since Marshmallow, I found most ROMs for the S5 have been based on CM.
By accident, I stumbled upon VanirAOSP.
I wanted to start a discussion about the latest nigtlies for VanirAOSP as there is no discussion in relation to the S5. I found this thread but it is very much out dated:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2776010
Let me know what you think!
For me it is very stable, there are regular updates and I have found no bugs so far. I would like to know if it truely is AOSP based as I get a slight CM feel off it as opposed to the AOSP based ROM, Dirty Unicorns.
Try it for yourself and see!

I would like to add also that I am simply just a messenger. I take no responsibility for the development of this ROM. Please pay tribute to the developers through the VanirAOSP website.
Ran fine with OA6, but stuck in bootloop with marshmallow.
