Hello everyone,
Today, I installed a Hong Kong rom into my Note LTE, SGH-I717M changed to GT-N7005. When I plug it into my computer and check if there is a new Jellybean update for it, it said "Kies doesn't support my phone verison / sales code. I did the *#272* IMEI# and I get nothing pop up!! :crying: If you know how to fix this, please tell me I really want to fix my phone.
reflash the csc file, or the rom in csc slot of pc odin, at own risk
Use csc changer from the play store and use the root option. This will wipe the data. So make sure you have a backup.

could be the rom you flashed, or the modem in the rom, that on own risk you reflash modem with root and mobile odin, however I recommend you check your apn settings in settings, mobile network if you have the settings from your provider.

Hello everybody,
Since i cant get no updates (2.3.6) soon from my provider (Vodafone Germany), is possible to use one of the official roms or stock roms, and update my Note manually ?
If so, which Rom... ?
can i update to Open Europe ?
I'm on
2.3.5
Version n7000xxkj4
csc n7000vd2kj1
Thanks
of course you can.
check this thread
or do the following:
download XLA4 latest firmware europe and extract to a folder
download odin 1.85
Password : samfirmware.com
download and install kies for samsung
turn off your note, then press and hold volume down key+menu+power
a menu appears, choose continue (volume up i think)
open odin, plug in your note via usb to computer. you should see a yellow line COM:# connected
If your downloaded ROM contains single file
go to odin, browse the folder you extracted the files to and
Choose PDA button in Odin and press start
if more items then
CODE in PDA, MODEM in PHONE, Multi CSC in CSC and press start
good luck
Thank u... i will try it!

and double check "Re-partition" , it should be un-ticked. and do not select any pit files while flashing.
Just one more question... if i want my phone rooted, should i first root it? I mean before i apply the upgrade.
Thanks

Yes. you have to root it first. because latest firmwares are not directly rootable. just go through this link you can find which firmwares are rootable directly.

Question.... how do i know if im still rooted?
And Kies is telling me that :
If you updated through odin or kies then you lost root. If you upgraded through mobile odin pro then you should still be rooted.

Kies is telling you that because there is a CSC code mismatch between the ROM you are running and what is on your device. You can change the CSC code by typing the following in the dialer: *#272*IMEI# where IMEI is your phone's IMEI number. I suggest choosing DBT since that is the unlocked Germany CSC and seems to get the most frequent updates. I changed my XEN (Netherlands) Note to a DBT one last week and it worked fine.
Changing the CSC will factory reset your Note, so back up your data first.
Hello.
I got a problem with my phone and for my looky my company exchange my mobile phone.
The new phone comes with Android 2.3.5 and there is no official update avaible for my company. Here are details of software:
PDA: N7000UBKJ9
PHONE: N7000UBKJ9
CSC: N7000UVCKJ3
There is anyway to change something like "product code" on my mobile phone and receive some stock updates from Android through Kies skipping authorization from my company?
B.R.
No. Android roms are custom fitted to your device and hardware. A rom for the SIII will not work on the one x for example.
Try searching for your device model to see if there are official updates or custom roms available.

Ok, I've read your post again. Sorry about earlier, I thought you didn't give your phone details.
You are running galaxy note GT-N7000 ?
Here is a list of stock roms + instructions if you want to manually update:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997
Also, refrain from factory resetting on stock ICS kernels (once you update).
You may read through this article to determine which kernels are safe:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1857556
But before you do so, can you elaborate more about your company locking down your phone from auto-updates? I'm afraid that manually updating may break what ever device administrative lock on your device.

Then you might have to reflash a different firmware. Either go here and look for a firmware that's closest for your country, download and flash using PC odin or go to sammobile and search for your device's country firmware and install with kies (or pc odin).
Before doing anything, backup whatever you need

My question is...
If I flash it with this version for example: N7000XXLRG---4.0.4/12.07.04-N7000DBTLRG---Download--- Open Germany, them, I will be able to receive automatic updates trhoug Kies?
B.R.
yes, but after installtion of the rom , you need to check if the CSC has changed to DBT not.
change of CSC triggers a wipe so make sure you are on a safe kernel

Sorry. I cant understand exactly what you mean.
So, I should flash with version mentioned before, them flash safe kernel, the change CSC to DBT? Or should be NOT on DBT?
first flash the rom you were planning to do... once successful, boot up and connect to kies and check what it says. if all ok, then well and good, else if kies ays it cannot update, then you have to follow the above mentioned steps
I flashed a stock BTU rom over my H3G phone with ODIN but It won't accept stock updates via kies.
How can i change my CSC
thanks.

1.Type *#272*Device IMEI# at Phone dial pad.
2.Select the CSC that you want.
3.Click Install.
4.Phone will be rebooted by itself.
5.That’s all.
Update – if above method did not work for, try CSC Changer.
Beware, changing CSC will do a factory reset!
thanks for your reply,
Will a csc changer from the playstore work and do i need root for that?
Or is there an app on xda that is better?
cheers

Try it, but I think root is required for changing CSC. I have no idea, I'm on CM roms for 3 years now and I don't need or use CSC at all.
I was rooted on AOE, but decided to Odin back to stock to update to AO2. The update downloads, but fails to install at 25%.
The phone works fine, and data works, but would like to update. I used an app called Phone Info *Samsung* to find that in the CSC part, Firmware's CSC Code, CSC Country and CSC Country ISO is empty. The other fields do have something in them.
Can I just Odin the CSC_ATT tar.md5 file via the CSC box? or are there settings or anything that I might need to change before I can do that?
Thank you in advance!
Download the stock firmware for your device and flash all 4 files that you will find inside that file all at once.
BTW if your S6 is from AT&T the versions are NOT AOE nor AO2. They are OCE and OE2.

Yes, those are my versions, sorry about the confusion!
Can I flash all 4 without the risk of tripping Knox? I'm concerned about flashing the bootloader in particular.
Thanks again for your help.
Flash all 4 files at once, not individually. Bootloader is locked so no flashing for it.

I tried , but it does not change.
maybe i need the csc file?
anyone?
try a factory reset from recovery i did it that way
Is the CSC editable in software? Or is it Hardware ?
I am also very interested to know if it is possible, as I wait since a month the N920CD (Dual SIM) in 64GB ( for the B20 (800Mhz) frequency in France), which is not out yet ... This would allow me to buy now a N9208 Dual 64GB and change its CSC.
Thank you to tell us if it works

same csc for my note
Found this on xda
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/help/guide-to-change-csc-root-rom-multi-csc-t3017207
It's for the note 4 but seems that the files mentioned exist in the Note5.
I'm guessing that you will need the csc for whatever country, carrier you want to change to installed.
then make the changes to the files mentioned.
don't forget to make a complete backup before you change anything!
Let us know how it goes.

Is have the 920i which is a multi csc rom.
I was thinking of flashing at&t's csc and changing it to that.
I will give it a shot later today and report back.
So? Have you tried?
Yes but no luck.
Can't seem to extract the at&t rom.
Was hoping to get the CSC folder and try to add it or replace the one on the 920i.
I was able to change my csc just installing lastest xsg firmware with odin!

It's a really good news !
Living in France, I ordered a N9208 Dual SIM 64GB, but It has not the B20 frequency (800Mhz). By changing the CSC of the N9208 with that of N920CD is it possible to have this frequency?
In other words, changing CSC is it possible to have the frequency of his country with any Galaxy Note 5?
so can i change my csc on my sm-n920k phone
i download a firmware from sam mobile for an israeli firmware and it has a all 4 files
so if i flash it will it change to the new csc
