I have a Motorola Atrix HD running version 4.1.1 using the standard browser, ATT service not rooted. I can't get any embedded youtube videos to play sound. If I see a video on a website I have to back out go to the youtube app and search for the video. Has anyone else had this problem or does anyone know of a fix? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I am using the latest ADS_Magpie Gingerbread ROM with my 32B G1. Installed the latest YouTube app from the market and I can only get sound from the clips. The video is blank/black. I tried YouTube back when my G1 was still using the official 1.6 ROM and had the same problem.
Is this a known problem for G1?
Turn off the HQ option. YouTube has upped the resolution on the HQ streams and they no longer play in the YouTube app on G1. Older videos should stick work however.
Thanks. I will try to see if that's the case.
Facebook video plays OK. BTW.
I am having a problem watching videos on my Hero, using CM7. I can watch videos that I record wihuot a problem, but if I go to a local news station website (using opera) and try to play a video (a newscast segment), I get an error. I have tried using the stock video player, ACT 1, and V player. An example of the website where this problem occurs is krqe.com.
What am I do wrong? Any ideas or suggestions appreciated! Thanks!

I am running hero-deck-1.2x ROM and I tested on this morning's video. It loaded fine for me using the stock browser. I am just informing, I really don't have any suggestions to try as I am not running CM7. Hero-deck has some of the CM features so it might be a possible alternate for you.
Hi,
I'm watching avi/mkv files that's about 800mb~1GB long and my video is sometimes choppy/laggy.
I also have the subtitles(.smi) on while watching it and was wondering if it's because of that?
One of the reasons I went with samsung was the fact that I didn't have to buy a separate video program nor encode the files, and I was wondering if there's any way around to fixing the lag issue?
Thank you!

Using the stock player i had the same issue.. try clearing your ram via task manager before watching large files.. movies. Or download mx player from the play store. ive been using it for quite some time now and its flawless with a lot of custom shortcuts that make life easy also theres dual core support in which a while ago you could find many players.
hope i helped!

For some reason the default video player cannot stream to DLNA (at least mine doesn't). Grab iMediaShare from Play Store, works like a charm. The paid version lets you even stream videos directly from YouTube!
Hope that helps.
Thanks for Reply

Thanks for the reply, but this doesn't work for me, why does the standard video player not work it's ridiculous don't you think, they include a feature on a high end device that isn't working.
??????
Still no answers for this?????
Got the same problem
I got the same problem when trying to stream any video I recorded with my HTC to XBMC-DLNA player through the stock video player. Other players seem to do the work with no issues. Any news on this?
same here. imediashare is working, htc player not working, htc lies about dlna in the spec.
I used to have an option for it but I don't anymore. does anyone else still have it? I'm on version 7.2.98.1 of Video Player.
can anyone else confirm?
thanks
