It seems there's a function call Speed Dial but only in Taiwan firmware. The Speed Diali is you can call a person just simply hold a key on the dialpad after you set it. Is it able to port to our Phone? I know there are some app can do this well, but I want to use it on the stock Sony dial app.
Sorry for my bad English.
Speed dial is available on all firmware. Just long press on any number on the dial pad and assign the number you want to each number on the dial pad

May I ask for detail? I tried it but I'm not able to use it by your way.
I'm using Xperia V JB .490 firmware.
goto the dialer. Long press on the number 5 (For example) a speed dial menu opens up. Click on the + symbol on the left to add a number to a certain position.
Which firmware are you on?
EDIT
Or from the contacts page just click on settings and look at the "Speed Dial" option....

Sorry for jumping into. I'm using the latest .490 JB ROM, rooted. Speed Dial doesn't work when I try your approach.
Anyone knows where to get that Taiwanese ROM with speed dial? I really need this feature. No, I don't want a 3d party dialer, thanks
I am on a Vodafone UK based fw and I have it.
If you want speed dial just flash my Rom

My ROM, find it in my signature, but its for T/TX, but you could extract the phone/contact storage app and try it on yours...
I found this on the vodafone website, but couldnt find anything about it in the sony website, so it may be a vodafone app
http://deviceguides.vodafone.ie/web...opy-contacts-between-your-sim-and-your-phone/
I will see if I can fine the app
EDIT
Dont forget you can make a direct dial widget to any contact on your homescreen and if you have a lo you can group them together in a folder, this may be even faster than speed dial as you wont have to open the phone dialer up, just dial straight from the homescreen

That C871B BT KB worked perfectly with my friend's MOTO Droid X. Have absolutely no idea what software he used. I'll have to ask him and com back with the answer
So your friend had the exactly same keyboard ?
If you can confirm and tell the software used when you find out.
Thanks
I can't seem to get a hold of him for the time being, i'll talk to him later, probably.
Anyway, this might be useful:
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.teksoftco.android.blueinput
This is what I use. It's an unlimited free trial, but has a limitation on the number of times "Space" and "Enter" keys can be pressed.
You could try this too until i contact my mate, see if it helps.
Cheers !

You have to download the app and configurate it on your mobile.
Then from internet you have to go https://www.cerberusapp.com/ and put username and pass. You have loads of options there to control your mobile if stoled etc.
Free tracking app!

EA Free games
I saw in Sony Select that I can install any of the EA games free for 90 days. They are 90 days trial but not demo. I installed NFS most wanted from there directly and didnt saw a problem. I works great.
And free 3 months is already enough for a game

Does anyone managed to set the okay Google everywhere to work?
First the auto detection from home screen is not working at all..
The icon of the mic that supposed to be filled that means it is listening is always hollow aka not listening..
Also trying to install the okay Google everywhere but when trying to train my voice.. Saying 3 times okay Google... It refuse to hear me.. Kinda like my mic is broken but its not.. When I press manually the mic button and speak, it recognizes me perfectly!
Just to mention that I have it also installed on my tablet, Samsung galaxy note 10.1 kitkat and it works perfect on it..
Also installed it on my brother's Moto G kitkat..
I have the official leaked version of 4.4.2 kitkat.
Anyone ran into this weird problem too?
Thanks
Sent from my Xperia Z.
Note the hallow mic on the home screen and the other pic is where I can't continue.. It won't hear me saying "Okay Google" no matter how I say it.. Tried to scream on it.. Whisper it, let my brother try, use a record of the google voice saying it.. Nothing..

After long long searching I found the problem.
It was an app called Floating WhatsApp that caused the mic to be used in the background or something..
I've talked to the developer of the app and he sent me another version possibly newer beta that fixed the problem..

Hi how do I install and use the xpa file? I can't stand the swift keypad layout, namely the location of the special characters which are all over the place and don't make any sense compared to the nice xperia layout I'm used to. A bad move by Sony considering how nice my XZ is. Such a fundamental problem forced on us is not cool.
If I use the xperia keyboard from that file will it update or would I have to do that manually?

Did you download from the link provided on page one? It downloads an .apk file. You need to go to settings/lockscreen and security/unknown sources and tick the box then it will install. Then go to settings/languages and inputs/ on-screen keyboard then click the manage keyboards tab and select xperia keyboard and turn that horrible swiftkey off. And you will have to update manually, just download the newest version and install over the top.

Magnificent! Thanks so much! Typing this on my fantastic, simple, intuitive, and far less bloated Xperia keypad. I guess it doesn't really need updating if it works. I've set the dictionary to update automatically.
My days, it's so much cleaner and better and the special characters and numbers page makes so much more sense. On the swiftkey version it's all over the shop.
Thanks again! Brilliant! Sony need to sort this out as default again...
