First of all, this question should not have been posed here.
Answer: There is nothing special that you need to do to your phone other than follow the installation instructions described in these ROM threads. It's just a matter of downloading files and put them in the root of the internal sd.
you really need to look at the FAQ. It's has EVERYTHING, you've search in the wrong section i'm afraid! Go to Q&A, it's all there, and then look at General to get you started.
Ok tnx for redirecting the thread.
But need i to root my phone before i flashin a custom rom ?

As I have mentioned earlier, you do not have to do anything prior to flashing a custom rom...just follow their installation instructions.

I see another brick soon..........
BEFORE you attempt to flash CM7, make sure you have a jig and a way to flash back to stock. And dont forget to make a backup before you start. Good luck.
Sent from a place my wife doesn't know about (yet)
Not to be one to beat a dead horse, but the instructions on this rom are very important, so please read them carefully before doing too much. And follow them when you flash it a second time as well. I almost missed a step because i thought i knew what i was doing
You mighteven want to watch a video tutorial from youtube (mobiletechvideo) on the whole process.

How to flash recovery?

Hello, i have recently nvflashed the stock v30a version of lg firmware. I have sucessfully rooted it. I would like to flash recovery (preferably cwm) and try some new jb rom based on new bootloader (in order to avoid callbug).
Rom manager says unsupported device.
Can you please point me the right direction?
Thanks

The right direction is here. First off, you need an unlocked bootloader to flash CWM. Also, I don't think you can install CWM from ROM Managed on V30... Anyway, this tool will do everything for you, just read instructions and prompts carefully.

That's cause you didn't follow all the steps.. When you flash higher versions, it has to repartition. Therefor a couple flashes are needed. If coming from gb and going up to 10.2 or 10.3, you'll have to flash cm7 first and then make your way to cm10.2, once again by flashing twice to rewrite the partition.
All that is clearly mentioned in the instructions. Just gotta take the time to read and understand it.

As for your sd card, that could be another problem. It might've gone bad.

i know the repartitioning thing but not from this phone. trust me if it was clear in the instructions i would have done it 4-5 roms iv tried and none of them have this instruction i appreciate your resonse though but onto a solution. i think since it refuses to mount the sdcard smtn went wrong trying to install cm10.2 though they all faild. so im guessing my safest bet to be to use odin to load a new rom or something advice there or from that of your experince with the device would be much appreciated.

I'd probably start fresh at this point. Flash Odin kk4 without bootloaders and see if boots up correctly. Also try your sd card. From there you can flash korn kernel using odin 1.87 and go back up to whichever ROM you want using their full instructions.

Getting impatient is the worse thing you can do.. Now you'll have to flash the gb bootloaders cause you just flashed 2.2.
Now flash this: http://click.xda-developers.com/api...e</b></font>&jsonp=vglnk_jsonp_13811531834186
And please, be patient. Don't interrupt it for any reason!!
From there, follow this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1350266
I'm sorry but I can't hold your hand through all this, I'm in class.

In that case, flash the first link I gave you. Which is the non-bootloaders version.
Usually, the older one clicks flashes the bootloaders.

Yes it is very easy to root the Note 4 with CF-AutoRoot. Here is a great guide by @TEKHD you can follow.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4-tmobile/general/easy-steps-stock-odin-n910tuvu1anih-cf-t2903733
You can also look at this guide by @jovy23 and he has all the files you need in one zip.

Not a problem, take your time the first time and follow the instructions exactly. Once you have done it once, you should get it and it is a breeze after that.

I did it this way and it worked perfectly. Had a little mishap though trying to download twrp through pay stpore instead of flashing. But, everything works now
Could you help me? I flashed a stock lollipop rom via odin and it worked flawlessly. I now would like to reroot my device. I downloaded all the correct files and when I go to flash the tar file via Odin I get an error, "security check fail: recovery". It won't flash but luckily didn't brick my device. I've tried plenty of time to no avail

Go to settings - security - reactivation unlock (uncheck it). Try flashing again, you should be good to go.
