Skintomi has a skin but they're full body and $20. I just want the one for the back cover as I'm looking to go with an aluminum bumper case and I'm not a fan of the shiny back side.
Full body from zagg is frosty but still semi transparent. It gives texture fill and phone is not do slippery.

would prefer something non transparent. but i'll check out zagg. are they still making their on screen display protectors with that orange peel look and tacky feel?
After only 5 days there is slightly "orange peel" look. About "tackiness" I prefer it's feel with stylus, it is more like real paper.

I'm intrigued now
.... I have to return some videotapes....
Why not just buy replacement back covers from ebay? Most of them have the brushed steel look and in different colors.
I had a gelaskin on my Gnex. Thy have some great designs but you can also use your own image. Might also be an option although an expensive one.
.... I have to return some videotapes....
You could buy 3M vinyl wrap? I used it for covering my Samsung tpu case since I hated getting finger prints on shiny back. One I used has steel brush effect and came out pretty nice.
3M 1080 BRUSHED BLACK METALLIC VINYL CAR WRAP - 12" x 60" (1ftx5ft)
That's the one I purchased for $10 and that's enough to cover your device lifetime for fraction of cost!

This case is only good for protection from scratches. While using this case I dropped my Note 2 from 2 feet onto pavement and the screen cracked. The case is great if you want something very slim but I wouldn't trust it for drop protection. The casemate tough case is also very slim but provides 10 times more protection.

I only use this case for after work during work i use a otterbox commuter

Yep, read another post with someone dropping their phone using this case and it shattered the screen. It's slim and protects from scratches, but next to nothing drop protection.
+1 for Case-Mate Tough as one of the slimmest cases with a drop protection on par with other cases twice of it's thickness.
awesome!
I just like this case cause phone still looks sexy with it and im pretty carefull with my phones but i do construction work so otterbox comnuter goes on at work

I have the aluminum button from spigen over the home button for that very reason.
Back to this case to be honest I didn't even think it looked all that great. The back is an absolute grease and finger print magnet.
After getting my phone replaced I tried out the seidio surface case (which I liked, good kickstand) before finally settling on the casemate tough case. It seems to be the perfect marriage of slimness and protection. Although I'm probably going to order the seidio convert case add on for the surface case I already own for those trips where I might want additional protection.

It comes in 3 colors for 10 bucks. Actually the black and silver look very nice, much better than stock and I actually prefer the tactile feel. It has a very nice metallic spiral design. I was concerned about the button moving around but after 3 weeks so far the adhesive is very good. I'd recommend it especially if you have a Verizon note 2.

looks good
I had a slim case on my N2 once, a Nilkin one but pretty much the same design as this one.
Then I dropped my phone whilst getting out the car, and now I have a dirty great big crack across the bottom of my screen. No insurance...
Now I have my phone in an Otterbox, with a film screen protector to hopefully stop the crack getting worse. I has a very big sad.
Do yourself a favour, avoid slim cases as they're worse than useless. They give a false sense of security that WILL be shattered, along with your screen, when you drop it. If you're going for a case, get something that PROTECTS!
That's exactly what I just wrote in another thread for Case-Mate Tough. If you want a super slim case, great grip, and durable corner protection to give you a piece of mind - there is no better choice but Tough case.
Just got this in from Amazon. Fits perfect with the tech 21 case. Sorry for the horrible pic of the phone my daughter took it.

Did you get HD or the anti glare? I'll see how this HD holds up with scratches. I had the anti glare from ghost armor on my S2 and loved it.

Does it cover edge to edge?
I can't open the pictures for some reason.
Also, does it really feel like glass? What's the texture like?

The screen protector is very thick and feels just like it's not even on there. It does not cover edge to edge, has plenty of room for a case. I to recommend this screen protector.

Just got mine in today, ordered on Wednesday.
I'm surprised that it came with 3 instead of the 2 that's advertised.
I also like that it doesn't cover the front sensors
I'll see if I have enough time to put one on today. Hopefully it fits with the diztronic.

How does this protector feel? Does it feel plasticy or more like glass?
I'm curious to know as well
Okay so I just put this on my phone.
I'm hating how LG design the curved edges of the screen right now.
I have the oleophobic ones and they are cut out correctly for the phone, but **** man. You have to be a surgeon to not have any bubbling edges, and that's due to the curved edges of the screen.
I managed to get mine in with only a bit of the top bubbling up, but it doesn't worry me as my hopefully prevents it from coming up.
The Diztronic fits good with the screen protector and doesn't post the edges up.
It feels a bit sticky, but that is something common for the first few days. I'll report back after I get the stickiness off the protector
Clarity is great, screen looks pretty much the same as before.
My only gripe with the screen protector is that there's a bubble that isn't any dust that is on the bottom right of the screen. I'm hoping it goes away after some use and settling.
Edit: I forgot to mention that it doesn't cover any sensors, so there's not problem with knock on/off.
Also, after some use the stickiness is already coming off and it now feels much smoother.

So far the feel is in between glass and plastic. It feels much better than plain plastic, but sometimes gets the squeakiness of plastic when your finger is sliding around

Just got mine in today. I can now swype with a clean screen! The bare glass is a bit sticky for swyping but this screen protector is great.
After a day I take back the stickyness. Its very close to bare glass. After a little greasing up she's slick but after a good cleaning its hard to swype because the finger sticks.
I'll be sticking with it for sure though because it fits very good with my DualPro and TPU case. No it doesn't cover the curved edges but I think my case would peel back a screen protector like that.
I really love the feeling of the G2s screen and hate putting on a screen protector but this one is as close as I'll get to that silky feeling I think.
how is the protector holding up ?
i was about to order the pure crystal one

Good to hear. Im waiting on the oleophobic as well.
Either the full body matte or carbon finish? I'd like to see how it looks if anyone's got pics and if they're satisfied with it.

One thing ppl say that they don't like about GA is that the side coverings leave a lot of gaps and they don't look good, but seeing as our phone really has no sides, I'm wondering if they even have those pieces in the full body set, if its just a front and back piece that basically connects at the sides
Sent from my LG-D800 using Tapatalk
I have the clear on on my RAZR Maxx. The sides have to be replaced every 3 months. The screen protector has to be replaced ever 4-6 months.

I had ghost armor on my Samsung Galaxy s3 and I only had to replace it once due to me getting a replacement s3. It stayed in great shape but mostly because I used the armor with a urban armor gear case on top of it. Screen protection is really good on it and you can't even tell it's on there

I second this.
I don't the the full body portion is all that great, in terms of durability, but the screen protector is really good. My first choice in screen protection.
I put it on my old Galaxy Nexus and peeled it off after a week. Can't stand the "orange peel" feeling to it.
I also have it on my s3, its a little dingy looking now but it does work really well
Sent from my G2 using xda app-developers app
I use to work there (don't anymore, so no bias) but while their skins are a bit expensive, they're very high quality and the life time warranty makes it worth it where you can go to any ghost armor cart or online and get your old skin replaced.
Sent from my LG-D800 using Tapatalk
I put ghost armor on all my devices. I ask them not to put it so close to the edge that a case pulls it up. On the g2 the guy wasn't sure he could since it pretty much doesn't have a bezel. Turned out great. On my girl friends G pro, it isn't even looks like crap. But her keys or change in pocket are scratching her screen

I had It on my DROID DNA. It, the carbon, was quite slick.
I've converted to exoskin and they're great. They don't make a screen protector though.

Went into best buy mobile yesterday at our mall and they had the quickwindow cases down to 14.99, from 49.99. Picked one up, nice and thin and protects the front too. The window apps are nice too. Just a heads up in case you're looking for one.

I remembering reading once that the silver trim of the quickwindow would sit directly on the screen and overtime scratch it. Could you observe if this is true?

I heard that too but my friend has the quickwindow case and put a screen protector on the main screen which solved any scratching problems.

I purchased a used G2 off of criaglist that came with the quickwindow case. Upon first glance, you don't notice it. But after going outside and turning the screen at certain angles, you can definitely see some very fine surface scratching on the screen where the trim meets the glass. No matter how much I cleaned the screen, it didn't go away. So yes, it definitely scratches the screen over time. Now, I put a screen protector on it (which the previous owner didnt), and you can't see the scratches anymore. However, the silver trim started scratching the screen protector too. So now I just use a completely different case.
I can confirm that, bought mine for 3-5€ on ebay (because I wanted the blue one) and after a month I noticed tiny scratches when holding the phone under the sun. I'm not using the case anymore, well I should have, shattered the screen a week ago :silly:, but when I return it from repair
I try to fix the case by sticking something more smooth on the metal rim, but I still don't have any idea what would do the trick without looking too bad.
i don't recommend it. scratched my screen..
