Launcher not saving default...

Hi all,
This weird issue is bugging me,
I have saved launcher pro as my default launcher and it resets whenever I try to run task manager or multitask using homekey longpress.
I've tried clearing default and saving it again by ticking use as default, but still no luck.
And when I go to recovery to clear dalvik cache I get this
E:can't mount /dev/block/mmcbl1p2
(File exists)
But I still can clear dalvik cache.
Plz help me.
Edit : tried reinstalling launcher pro but no luck.

hi i had this problem with ZEAM home launcher, do you have sgs tools ?? if so upgrade stock apps, then upgrade tw launcher, that solved the problem for me.. hopefully it will sort it for you.

Updated the twlauncher using your instructions, but still I have the same problem
I don't know how this problem has arised but its really annoying.
Plz help.

it is annoying i agree, why dont you try a different home launcher ? there are lots to chose from and lots are similar if you dont want **** changing. i think it has something to do with the theme tbh, as that happened to me after i installed a theme, but then changed to another and everything went back to normal..

Go to dbdata/databases and delete the com.fede.launcher folder

Lol try home switcher. Can clear defaults with it. Always my first port of call when having these issues.

I've had nearly the same problem, and i solved it
To remove the default launcher:
In SGS tools -> Cleanup System
Enable Advanced Mode (under menu key)
Search for the launcher (somthing like com.sec.android.app.twlauncher)
And delete it
Ik works fine with me (LauncherPro and Visual Task Switcher)

Just Flash Jelly Bean & starting load really very Lag !! But now back to smooth... How to make the "Task Manager" show in menu ?? Anyone know that ?

I couldn't find a way other than to use another launcher. I use holo HD, and can put the Task Manager on my desktop with it. Go to add short cuts then Activities and scroll down to Task Manager. just a suggestion..

Help: Go to menu. Press "widgets" button on top middle-right. Scroll till you find the task manager widget.... it's there..

You can try copying the toggle images onto your computer, then take 15 toggle files and replace the 14 which you already have. Then theme the final one

One thing to all: miui lockscreen that comes with the rom can be laggy. I suggest entering the themes and downloading one called black Android. Then enter milocker to apply just the lockscreen.
Edit: you can disable miui lock screen by pressing menu on launcher, entering launcher settings and clicking on "disable miui lockscreen"

I am on stock and flashlight works fine normally. But when i use scripts to make my phone faster sometimes the flashlight on and off in one or two seconds. It may be a touch sensitive config problem, its like i pressed two times and phone responsed in few seconds even i pressed only once. Especially the problem occurs when i use the launcers button. If with apps flaslight working normally then may be changing some tweaks will solve the problem.

Do you want the real Softbuttons like Nexus and the Pie Control like in PA or like LMT Launcher?No problem its in your framework,you must only activate it.Just add the following line in your build.prop,you need no extra Apps and you will have a Menu for it in Settings.
For this open Root Eplorer(or any other root file manager),navigate to system,open build.prop with a long press and choose open with text editor,be sure that your system is rw.Add the following line and save it,reboot.

I tried this method on my cm 10.1 beta 6 but doesn't work. I added the line with root explorer, reboot and all good but I can't see the pie menu.

I extended my desktop but still can't see the menu . I think the unofficial beta 6 haven't pie control.

Make sure you don't made a typo, i just made it in beta 6.
Note: I realised, it has a graphic glicth with live wallpapers. DO NOT use live wallpapers with soft-keys
NOTE: didn't try pie controls, only softkeys

I reviewed the build.prop and the added line it's fine.
My steps was:
Open root explorer - Go to /system and check mount r/w - Open build.prop and add the line - Save changes and mount r/o - Reboot
If I made a wrong step, please tell me

open root explorer and go to system folder mount rw keep pressed on build.prop and select "open with"
then select text editor go to the bottom and create a new line pressing enter now type qemu.hw.mainkeys=0 press menu save and exit DONT MOUNT R/O and restart

Hello I tried this on my L5 II and I get the soft keys and the pie control but I cant seem to find the settings for it under settings. Is there a different way of accessing the settings?

So wrong caliban, only appears the navigation bar, I tried with different expanded desktop but I can only get the nb. I made this with cm10/cm 10.1/cm 10.2 and worked perfectly.

Only tested on JB 4.1.2 TS (My system version is:11.0.11462341.XT890.Platform.en.TS
Install:
1.use root explorer, copy the apks to system/ folder
2.change apks' permission to r-w-r-r
3.move the systemui.apk and settings.apk and Lidroid_Settings.apk to system/app, replace the old files(Important: if you're using a undeodexed rom(such as a stock ROM, delete settings.odex and systemui.odex,or you will get a FC or Boot loop!)
3.move framework-res.apk to system/framework ,replace old file
4.reboot

You can get it working if you just install the SystemUI.apk and use the modified lidroid settings.apk from the link above (read the instructions in the post links and you'll find it).
You will lose any status bar mods and the back button doesn't scale properly to the shortened button bar in omar's ROM
I'm on omar's 9/20 rom, for reference...

if you only want to have toggles without rooting your phone (as i read in your signatur) you can use an app like notification toggle or power toggle

on those apps theres always an option to hide the icon zzz, anyways they eat ram, for only toggles you'll have to port em urslf
