You cant get the **LOCKED** status back. you can only get **relocked** state which i think puts your warranty back in action.
Use ADB and type this command "fastboot oem lock" (Without "s)
Keep in mind that re-locking your bootloader with a custom rom installed will give you a **security warning!** that will lock your phone into bootloader and not reboot(read: make unusable ) and remain that way until you run an ruu that is your current firmware or newer. Is there a way to return to the Vivid to the stock form that AT&T sells? I know how to relock the boatloader, but I don't see a true, stock AT&T Rom (like with CIQ and bloatware) that I can flash.

In the second post of slapshot's sticky in Vivid Development he explains how to return to stock. It's the RUU that you're looking for. You will have to relock your boatloader for it to work I believe.

I have noticed that s-off could be coming soon. But I've got itchy fingers and want to unlock my one
If I unlock the bootloader via HTC dev and s-off becomes available can I change the unlocked to locked again? So this doesn't affect any warranty?

Hi
greetings.
yes that is possible you can revert back to LOCKED. but after you achieve S-OFF
That's good. Had the one x before and unlocked the bootloader n never had any warranty problems but just wanted to be sure if something was to go wrong with this phone I could hide the unlocked
Thanks for clearing that up

After S-OFFing my One, I notice a small change.
In the Setting -> About -> Tell HTC and error reporting: I got a new warning message below saying this is a Test Device.
Pls refer to attached image.
Is this an intended purpose of S-OFF? Anyway to turn off automatic report sending?
Thanks
Yeah this is what will occur. Your in essence running the device with no security in a test mode.

There is a way to get rid of that by freezing or uninstalling one of the HTC system apps, but I can't recall which one at the moment. I froze a bunch of that crap a while ago, and I'm not getting that message. It will remove the "Tell HTC" option altogether.
so does this mean HTC knows yr device is not unlocked?
meaning now yr device is registered in HTC dev as unlocked?
With TMo phone, bootloader unlocked, SIM unlocked, S-OFF and SuperCID, I don't see this warning in my phone. It may be the warning for developer Rom only.

I got this after running one of the RUU's on this forum. I am guessing the RUU in question is a test ROM. Now on a custom rom, I do not get that.
Yea...im on stock 1.29 rom that shipped with the device. No ruu flash before.
I'll try to s-on then s-off later. Let's hope it doesn't appear anymore.
On a custom ROM the Tell HTC option isn't even there

That red writing is only there when you have S-OFF. I installed OTA updates with S-OFF and unlocked bootloader.
So should we worry that it's sending info automatically to HTC or can we just ignore that red warning?

I can't do that yet since I haven't rooted, going to wait until official 4.2.2 first maybe. But like they say, the problem isn't present on custom roms anyway

can you guys test with wireshark for root or bitshark if you get a ****load of trafic to collector.newrelic.com too when you are on a stock rom?
I believe that red warning message applied for Developer edition based-rom.
I converted my AT&T HTC One to an International One so I could get OTA more rapidly. I used the following RUU to convert the phone and I do get the same message. However I haven't noticed anything in regards to not working and MobileIron (which we use for corporate exchange/security) has not flagged the device as being modified.
RUU_M7_UL_JB_50_HTC_Europe_1.28.401.7_Radio_4A.13 .3231.27_10.31.1131.05_release_310878_signed.exe
If I return my UK, unlocked, m7 to stock and wait for the "official" sense 6 update, should I still be able to re unlock bootloader so I can reflash ARHD70 ? The reason I ask is I think I read somewhere, recently, that someone couldn't unlock their bootloader after an hboot/firmware update.
I want to get latest firmware, when it's released, but don't want to go "s-off".
Cheers
