You probably need to set the governor to a setting that supports sleep.
From the Play Store, download and install "No-frills CPU Control". Open the program and set the governor to either "interactive", "smartassv2", or "performance". Set the scheduler to "row", "deadline", or "cfq".
Well mate guys like us doesn't even have the right to breathe but i'll give my humble two cents. I suggset you use it. It doesn't end with a deep sleep program but it is a start. Since i didn't make any ROMs i have no right to live but it happens to be that i recently made a test about it so i am gonna share it with you. If you wanna discuss further just PM me. :good:

Thanks for the sarcasm i was waiting you. We both know why you wrote this but it's ok. I only put 1 screenshot, i had to be sure. This was another test. Seems like i had my theory proved.
It's a deep sleep test with internet on, with off, .. etc. Hmm what have we here i have multiple screenshots with multiple tests. Oh my... may be i should do yet another deep sleep test while playing games. :cyclops: They why i told him PM for further discussion....
I am trying to help a fellow noob as always. I think other people who do not share the same task should choose to stay away. Since you wrote so carefully you can deny it. But, instead of helping the guy you choose to mock me. Well done. Really glad to see nothing has changed here. If you have no intention to write something constructive please stay away. I had enough of these kind of behaviour.

I don't know Pondera but I know at least N00BY0815 a little bit, he is very helpfull and I can't really see what he did wrong here. OK probably it's an old flameware or something like this.
OK androcraze said already what is important and the rest might be better ignored.
It seams that something is not right with the OnDemand governor so better change it to Interactive (or what ever you like best) if your phone doesn't go to deep sleep.

Hello GUIse,
I know this may seem a little sudden due to me releasing an update of my theme literally 2 minutes ago, but, the timing couldn't of been any worse. I've received some sort of bad news (to me) and I feel I don't have the strength to keep supporting/making themes anymore. Plus, I now have a new job which is taking most of my time up anything. So, due to these 2 statements above, I can no longer create themes as much as I would love to. This is probably the wrong section but I only posted into the SGSII section anyways. I would like to thank everybody for supporting me. Especially Pulser, who forgave me over the Infusion controveusy.
I'm sorry to B3311 & Pele as I cannot support the Black Android Theme anymore, and sorry to my donators.
I hope to see you in the future.
Take it easy,
NitrozK (My Last Post.)
you don't need to leave XDA, just come by every now and then when you feel like it.
you are not obligated to it.
as long as people have access to your previous work, they can continue from where you have left off.
i myself was off for like a whole month before i was able to continue modding due the similar issues from my real life

It's not only that it's just this theming business is stressing me out. Don't get me wrong, I know how to theme like the back of my hand, but due to this news and my new job I only have time for me if you get what I mean?
we will miss you m8
Good luck nitrozk. Hope everything will be fine eventually.
Really appreciate your work. But there are more important things in life, like life itself.
Take care!
We will miss you.
But you still can use XDA, even if you are not developing anymore.
Sorry to hear that buddy.. U are welcome here anytime

I don't know you nor have I had contact with you but as with any other fellow sgs2 and xda members I wish you all the best and can only hope you get the chance to return soon! All the best!
all the best man, thx alot
I hope you will find a way to absorb and overcome the bad news and possibly some good will come from it. Good luck and have fun with the new job!
Live long and prosper. <\\//

Are you f**cking kidding me? All I do is my best in this forum but yet people slag me off for it. I'm telling people because if I did go without a trace I'd get shed loads of PM's about it. My life isn't going as planned as yours is (obviously). Please explain to me why I am an attention seeker? So, I'm like every other dev in this forum then? I don't think I am a celebrity, I do my work, people like it, end of. Nothing else to it. Sorry "Mr Perfect". I didn't want to give a reason as to why I have to leave but you gave me no choice. Someone close to me died yesterday 2 minutes after I released a new version of the Black Android Theme.
Good riddance.

What everyone's setup? For the life of me, I can't get it to work as it's supposed to work. If I turn it on (the basic setting), it turns data off but never comes back on, not even if I disable it. It takes a full reboot to actually get data back. It's too bad, because when it's on my battery goes forever, but I can't do all of the things that this phone was made to do. Any suggestions for the customization, or any possible fix?
Btw I'm on the latest gv.

I have the same problem too w JD I tried all settings and the 3g/4g still won't turn unless I reboot
Are there a fix?
I even tried uninstall then reinstall the app still nothing
Not sure if it's only GV 1.3 cause I haven't try it on previous version
Bulletproof 512 ledded AWD SuperCharged RC4/GV1.3 - Nullified & Nooped 3072 + Ad-Shot v13 ;p

Seems other Revo owners are having the same issue, there's a thread over at the Juice Defender support page. I don't have enough posts so I can't link the thread.

PM the link to me and I'll post it. We should all go add to the thread...the bigger the problem is, the sooner it'll get fixed. I paid for the Ultimate version of it, so I'll use that as a justification for yelling even louder lol.
I'm using the Beta version too, doesn't seem to make any difference as I have the same problem. Hope they fix this soon...JD triples my battery life; really don't like giving that up.

No offense to the guy, but I thought the author of that report was less than helpful in describing the problem; not to mention it doesn't sound like the same issue we're having here, because he can resolve it by entering airplane mode. Likewise, I didn't think any of the comments were that helpful either.
I didn't have anything to do today...well, that's not true, but I didn't want to do any of the things I had to do, so I took a bunch of time away from the things I needed (but didn't want) to do and wrote this up:
http://bit.ly/w42tou
It's on that same site, but it describes the problem in (painstaking?) detail. I also sent them six different logs that cover various stages of the problem. I even gave you guys a shout out at the end of it.
I'd appreciate it if you guys visited the link and voted for/commented on the post. Mostly because I think it'll help encourage the devs to actually do something, but also so I don't feel like a moron for writing something nobody reads. (But it really is way better than that other guy's.)
Voting is probably sufficient enough, but it can't hurt to throw a comment on there to help raise the profile of the post. Like someone mentioned previously, if you're using the beta version of JD, open it up and send a log file when it occurs again.
haha, although I imagine most of you have disabled it at this point, I know I have.
EDIT: The Dev that's working on this mentioned this on the crappy post, along with several other things that never got answered by the original author or any of the individuals commenting. Anyone out there "enterprising" enough to take this on?

I posted this in the JuiceDefender topic, but I wanted to post it as a separate topic as well so more people would see this. I know not everybody uses JuiceDefender, but hear me out on this, you all can and should play a role in this.
I just spent a good bit of (read: way too much) time writing up a report and sending in six separate logs pertaining to JuiceDefender's incompatibility with Revolution/Gingerbread. There was a previous report by some other guy on the LateDroid site, but it sucked, frankly. I didn't think any of the comments on it were that helpful either.
You can see / vote / comment on my new and better topic here: http://bit.ly/w42tou
I'd appreciate it if you guys visited the link and voted for/commented on the post. Even if you don't use JD, think of this as helping out those of us who do, and maybe you will start using it once it works! I think it'll help encourage the devs to actually do something, but I also don't want to feel like a moron for writing something that nobody reads. You don't have to actually read it, just voting on it is enough to save my ego. I even gave you guys a shout out at the end of it (and it really is way better than that other guy's).

I wasn't joking when I said I really love/depend on this app. Having a smartphone that can go without charging for 3 days is not something I want to give up.

As of right now, we're #1 in the "Hot Ideas" category and #2 in "Bugs". "MMS not sending/receiving" is #1 with 133 votes, so we're almost there. Not bad considering our issue appears to affect only the Revo.
We're also #16 in "Top" which includes every thread in every category (including official announcements/changelogs/etc). Most of the ones above ours literally have hundreds of votes, so I'll take #16.
BUT, we need to keep squawking lest we get shoved to the backburner! Keep in mind that every day you don't vote, God kills a baby panda. Just sayin'.
135! We've officially taken first place, but only by 2 points, so don't stop voting!
Also an Admin has added a nifty little "Under Review" tag to the post--so they're "officially" looking into it.
A recent commenter said he's having the same problem on his Thunderbolt, so if you know someone with a Thunderbolt, get them voting too hehe.
Voted. Not a JD user anymore because of this. Thanks for the solid writeup

I just reinstalled JuiceDefender Beta, and am now using it but with the "Control Data" feature turned off. This seems to allow me to use the other features without disabling my 3G/4G. You might not be able to turn off the data, but you can still control the frequency of Autosync, and that makes a pretty big difference by itself.
I can't for the life of me figure out why that's not included within Android. Not everyone needs by-the-second updates...5-10m synching frequency is fine with me, and saves a metric crapton of battery life--even without being able to control data.

Without saying who's right or wrong, it is always a sad when developers leave, whether it is Bananacakes or Wild Child. I'm glad that both has decided to continue to cook ROMs for our tiny community, whether it is on this site or another.
With what both chefs have done for the community, I think they both deserve better than to be spoken poorly upon. Hopefully all that has been said are done from the supporters of either, because they deserve better...
i second that
I agree, we need both devs and regardless of what's going on they make a difference for our (when stock) crappy phones. What they have done is the only reason I want to grab this slab up in the am, lol.. respects to you both , come back Yal.......

Dude, for our device there are no 4.2... so on what does the ROM need to be based? If you want 4.2 stock based it's not gonna work.
Let the dev's do their work and wait for 4.2... patience will be rewarded. Some countries are still waiting for 4.1
Sent from my GT-I9070 using xda premium
I think he means they should develop CM10.1 instead of cm10.. somewhat I agree, but it's much more difficult, and they don't have all the sources for that. Let them do cm10 first, than they might start work on cm10.1, or maybe not.. even cm10 is in early beta, and how long have they been doing that?
It's not an easy task as the source is not released. So little chance of getting cm 10.1. But still cm 10 is in progress thanks to our devs team and that's good enough for me
I think we need to wait a bit for 4.2
Well CM10 is the main priority I guess and we have the best of our devs working on it. When it is stable I hope that they want to continue on CM10.1 which is harder without sources as we don't even have all sources for CM10 yet.

I will leave you alone with your demands, but I just hate that kind of people.
P.S. And you think developers like to have their work to be in beta so long?
And I used to notice every thread in here, untill I got busy.

you are saying you are busy...then why are you wasting your time replying and staring useless arguements commenting & quoting...? if you can do that you can do some work and turn those betas into final like the wat you told me ...I have other important work to than reading your books I dont want to waste my time waiting for betas turning into finals and indulging into arguements...
I think you're overreacting ...

If you want something done, do it yourself rather that complaining about it.

I am not an developer, just user who helps new user sometime. The ones who deserve that, but I make mistake and help to someone who do not.
And about that book, it is about waiting for something that is not coming and not doing anything. That is what are you doing, if you want it that badly - do it yourslef.
But I knew that you would answer like you did when I was writing that post to read that book. You seem like some spoiled child.
DID YOU INSTALL SOME OF THOSE ROMS? DID YOU PROVIDE ANY LOGCAT TO DEVELOPERS TO HELP THEM FIND PROBLEM, AND TRY TO SOLVE IT????????????

this everything going over hrre is an example of how people advocating a positive change or providing critical feedback are suppressed ....
thanks you so much for your unsolicited advice...

Before i end this with my final msg.... yes we all are friendly but the way you reacted in the start was the bad way... next thanks for another pointless reply and we don't need members who are here to fight ...... Now if you dare freakin reply again im goana report you and i will really do it!... STOP WITH THESE FLAME WARS OKAY WE ALREADY HAD BEEN HAVING FIGHTS AND WE SETTLED THEM BUT NOW IT"S GETTING FAR ENOUGH
Let's all work together and act like normal human beings. It's not usual to flame someone who's doing the Dev job volontarily.
I'm new here, and I'm trying to learn, but I'm not that technical. I try my best to contribute to this society, I can't develop or mod but everytime I read this forum my knowledge about Android grows and if it's needed I would share that knowledge.
I don't wanna sound like the good guy but I guess we all should be here for learning or sharing knowledge, if we can do that we could form a great team!
