WhiteBalance was ported from the ZL to the Z by mw1kaduxx, But in order for it to work (to appear in settings); It needed the Z/ZL's settings.apk, So I packed Z's settings [thanks to gm007 for uploading it] in a flashable zip.
All you have to do is go to the thread thank the guy and download the mod, Then flash Xperia Z's settings and it's ready to use.
BUG: You can't set the brightness from this settings.apk, It'll just force close (Screenshot :

Y u no modified your original setting.apk to enable WhiteBalance in settings>display rather than using Xperia Z settings.apk?
It will cause FC in many place because of incompatibility.
Better revert back to original and modify settings.apk to enable WhiteBalance.

Thanks for the info. But does this really make a positive difference in our screeens?
I've mod this Setting.apk from Xperia V,
just added white balance option and no other changes, so should not have compatibility problem,
enjoy it

I made white a little colder and it's much better for my eyes!!!!
i flash using CWM, and it works, but then im lock screen, and then unlocked, it seem that the white balance is gone, then if i reopen whitebalance, it just activate itself, anybody experience this.?

Thanks! I know there is a system dump but didn't know if it was posted. Today I found out there was a Xperia S section for XDA
What "friends" widget does? I tap and connect with facebook but the widget doesnt change just add facebook feeds to the old timescape widget...(in other screen)

Update: after re-installing using recovery, everything worked !!! Thanks.
If I use the new Timescape widgets and tap on a Twitter post I get a FC. I fixed it by installing TwitterPostViewer.apk (found in another thread) into /system/app.
Also, you should include the FBLike apk so you can 'Like' a music track. It only works if FB Inside Xperia is enabled.
Thanks again for this useful mod. It beats having to install lots of different packages to get this functionality.

I don't have Rock, Bass Boost, etc. And every time I open Equalizer, the Clear Bass slider goes to -15.

Try clearing the data for the Sound Enhancement app in Apps -> Manage -> All and see if this fixes it.

i just changed the density? its stock build.prop just modified density? :/
This build.prop is taken from xperiment 2.3 rom and still has that as the device model, so it will change in the about phone settings....
The stock build.prop is also from that rom, so its not the complete stock one. This may confuse some people

if you would like to change it urself, you can backup your device, go /system/ , search for density, and change the default desity(320) to whatever you like!!

I did step by step as described, but I had no change. The application module Gravitybox not responding and closes. I also tried to download the form to add a reboot to power off menu. While being active does not change anything in this case either. Why?? Please help me!

It 's true. But having done automatically as I had not noticed.
However I have seen that setting a wallpaper animated the nav bar back to black ... Only with images as wallpaper bar becomes adjustable.
Wow the nav bar and status bar tweaked can be completed without rebooting! Thanks for sharing this!

Photosphere doesnt work normally, so push the following libs in system/libs for that to work
Install All files normally or push it to system (no harm)
Install Google Now,GMSCore (playservice) first, for hangout and home to work .
Install Gallery as well as camera for camera to work
If you Get Force Close In Google Now (You will need root to fix it)
System/Lib replace the file from the attachment.

Yea. May be because the launcher is fully integrated to Google now. But compared to old Xperia home this is way better and what I like is that is got bigger icons.

Yes.. That happens May that's what 4.4 is about where the nav bars hide themselves. we may have to change some values in xml.
However settings are accessible by long press on screen.

The one in attachment is for camera, the one in the link is for Google now. Google now lib use it only if you get fc. I didn't get it so not using it
Soft keys there are some problem. I'm not sure what's causing it to overlap, I check some video of nexus 5 the key won't be hidden. May be its Sony framework that's causing the error

Just a simple mod for today. Nothing particularly complicated or time-consuming to do...but it can make a real change to the look of your phone!
I always liked the simple look of the 'swipe to unlock' Xperia lockscreen. But it's got no security at all. The pattern lock is better but looks terrible.
So...I took the pattern lock icons and made them transparent.
Now my lockscreen looks awesome and it's harder to break into!
To do this yourself, you can download the icons attached to this post and put them into the appropriate drawable-?dpi folder in your decompiled framework-res.apk.
Or, if you're not comfortable with decompiling apk files, just flash the attached zip in CWM (not TWRP). This zip will push a file called 'android-res.apk' into your 'system/vendor/overlay' folder.
By using an overlay apk, it means that your framework-res.apk isn't touched. So you won't lose any of the mods you may have done to it. Pretty cool, no?
Oh, and this zip will make a flashable backup too! Just in case you don't like the changes. Also pretty cool.

You do get used to it very quickly. Besides..being a bit harder to unlock isn't necessarily a bad thing. If someone steals your phone, they're going to be very puzzled!
It's possibly possible to move the lock. Not in xml though.

The easiest way is probably just to change the widget. That's what I did.

Oh but you do.. Philz Touch Recovery is a touch-sensitive version of CWM.
So yes you can!

A little question however. Pattern dots are also got invisible in settings-security menu and when adding new widget at lockscreen (phone asks to enter pattern). Is it possible to make them invisible only in lockscreen?

Tricky. The settings menu and the widget screen you mention all use the same icons as the lockscreen. In theory, it could be possible to make the lockscreen use all new icons..but it would involve some smali editing..
