[q] help needed no 3g or mobile internet

After flashing to froyo i now have no 3g or mobile internet ,im on vodafone ireland and just wanted to know if anybody knows which csc to reflash to. Before anyone suggests i check my apn settings i already got them off vodafone sent to my phone but it still says in menu -about phone-status-mobile network state=disconnected.
Can anybody help cos at the mo i can only use wifi evev though i paid for a 2gb data allowance.

did you create the APN settings?
it doesn't get sent, it doesn't program itself automatically
you need to make it yourself

Yeah I got the settings as a configuration message and it installed the vodafone settings but it won't show the upload download arrows anymore.

install the APN on/off switch
then set it to ON, tried turning it off/on/off/on see if it works

it should show if you are connected or not to any of those bands

thanks for the help allgamer, im using sgs tools and im in phone info it says gprs service disconnected, so i press left soft key and get option to enable data connection but when i press it nothing happens?
p.s i tried the apn on off app and it did nothing

don't sgs tools you will get confused
make sure you have the APN settings configured

I Was just using sgs to access the secret codes, I tried that but mine is totally different.

I sent the apn settings from the samsung mobile website as a configuration message for vodafone ireland and then installed it when I received it but it just won't work.

what does it say, what information?

hi there. anyone successfully fixed this? for two days now I cannot get any 3g signal. it just stopped working at some point. thinking it must've been an app or something, i did a complete reflash of the XWJPA firmware. that unfortunately did not help at all.
apn is CORRECT, data network is enabled, no 3g....
edit: btw, this is on 3 network in reading, uk.
edit 2: disregard my post, the problem was the borked sim card. all is well now.

[Q] 3G not working

Hey guys. I just activated 3G today and got a confirmation from my service provider( Vodafone India) that my data plan is active. When i select mobile network i get the H symbol(HSDPA/HSUPA) along with the arrows next to my signal meter. Although there is a lot of flashing going on with the arrows the net still doesn't work. Any idea why??

You may need to go into Settings -> Wireless & Networking and check the APN settings.

Thanks a loT!! I had to change the setting from Vodafone Live to Vodafone Mobile Connect. But now i seem to have a new problem. I keep losing the normal phone signal completely at times and have to switch to and back from aeroplane mode or restart the phone to get the signal again. This is the first time this is happening. Any idea why? And this is happening at home where i used to get all the bars( Till 3G started working) Thanks in Advance

Hi all my phone's 3g is activated but i cannot use the internet. others e.g. market, youtube etc. all work fine for me. what could be the problem?
i currently use singtel galaxy s with xxjvu rom.

Did you set up an "APN"?

yes. im using singtel's ideas wap apn but i just cannot use internet. the signal is shown on the status bar.

So 3G is activated.. long press power button, a menu will pop up with options. Under "data network mode", make sure it is "Activated" and not "Deactivated". After that, you can connect to 3G/2G data service

the data network mode is already activated. what else can i do?

contact your carrier

Make a new apn put any name, under apn put internet than save.

3G connexion issue

Hi all,
I have a Galxy Ace S5830i that i can't connect to the 3g network.
I have set all the APN parameter but still no 3g only EDGE display (H+ for a maximum of 30second).
How can i connect to the 3g network ?
Thank you for your help.
PS :
The SIMCARD is 3g capable cause i have test it in another phone already.

The APN is correctly set but when the mobile data is activate only the E show rather than H+ or 3G.

Have you tried to contact your service provider?
I have the same problem I can't make 3g to work, status bar is showing G instead of 3G.I contacted my service provider and they said that the
apns need to be manually configured.I will try to recall them tomorrow to get assisstance.

I have all the setting cause when i move the simcard to another phone i can connect to 3g so it is not the simcard but my galaxy ace

[Q] 4G is not working, no signal on boot

hi all expert,
i flashed few roms, and i dont know why the 4G netowk is not working anymore. Signal lost on every boot,
i have to switch flight mode on/off to get the signal back . i thought this ROM problem so i flashed other rom but no luck.
even i nanodriod to my first stock rom. any idea ? is there any hidden partition that i should wipe it out ?
P.S my region RUU is not available
please help

Try this go to settings mobile data press it then press your network provider then search network don't choose your one then it will say something like not possible then search again and choose your one that will reset your provider that worked for me

Go to the mobile data again network mode and make sure your on lte

Yes. i am 100% sure i am using the GSM/WCDMA/LTE auto mode. but it just not work...very strange....

Ok one more thing to try pull the sim out and put it back in
If not phone your network provider and make sure there's not a problem with there end

No wifi btw , this is not silly question , at least you save my phone just curious why 4G is not work,
it always show H or 3G and i went to retail store, my SIM card is work on other 4G devices.

Ok phone your network provider and get them to send you the settings to your phone if that doesn't work take it back to the shop and get a new one lol

it depends on what you consider 4g? are you talking about LTE or are you talking about HSDPA/HSPAP? if its LTE it should show up as LTE, but depending on where your located and which HTC one you bought you might not have the bands. if your company has HSDPA the H that shows is normal. H for our phones(atleast on the international version) is a combo of HSDPA and HSPAP which in tmobile USA's eyes is 4g and 4g+. even though technically its 3.5g and 3.5g+. so need a bit more info on your end to get an idea of what SHOULD be happening.
phone model? international? ATT? tmobile? heck sprint?
provider?
maybe country? it seems like your in another country i think?
and if your in the USA then maybe city you live in? cause LTE on tmobile has only rolled out in like 10 cities though ATT has better signal

i live in Hong Kong and LTE support 1800/2600 band, i dont remember the exactly timeline , i just remember when i flashed ARHD , the 4G is still working
but bad reception, so i flashed another few rom until i notice my phone can not get the signal at boot. Thankfully, jaythenut tech me a method to solve the signal problem, but it cannot get the LTE now....very very strange

Choose the first option in the list that comes up, and see what "preferred network" is set to. If it doesn't say something about "LTE" theres something wrong.

deafult is GSM/WCDMA/LTE auto, and network type is HSDPA
when i tried to set LTE only, it swap back to the default value immediately ,if i set to CDMA,LTE , it become "H" and show HSPAP and UTMS.

This is a pain in the ass flash a rom do a full wipe try trickdroid as long as you international

just confirm that my friend phone are able to "change" to LTE only option even he doesn't have 4G sim card & plan ,
but i am not allow to do so. any idea ?

I think there's a problem with your rom maybe had a bad flash just try to reinstall and full wipe it might work
