Is there any possibility to have USB on the go (OTG) on kindle fire HD? and connect 3G modems as a result?

OTG works with memory stick not tried anything else
I've seen others with devices that can do OTG and was able to use a usb 3g modem to get internet access. As far as I know OTG is not possible on the kindle fire hd right now. I personally use a 3g/4g WiFi hotspot on the go.

Hello All.
I am looking at getting the G Tablet and was wondering if I can hook up the internet through the USB. I do not have wifi or access point in my house. My home modem has a USB or ethernet connection for connecting to the internet.
I see that it can be tethered to a phone for internet, just wondering about a home modem.
Thanks for any help.
Depending on the carrier I think you have to purchase a teather plan. Sprint told me this today when I called and asked why I couldn't USB teather, but he told me I could wifi... but there isn't one. -_-
Sorry, I meant for this to be in the Viewsonic G Tablet section.
I do not know if I was clear, but I was wondering if the G Tablet will work off of a home internet connection (hard wire) via USB?
Thanks

It might be possible, if you have an USB to Ethernet adapter and go that way. Directly via USB is more of a Windows thing.

Has any one with a unlimited data plan able to tether through Atrix HD to an Android Pad either through bluetooth or wifi? What is your setup and what tools did you use? Thanks in advance!
I have a motorola xoom and have tried a number of things, even tried using bluetooth to tether, but it does not work, i have not tried USB tethering as i could not find a cable that is compatible between the HD device and the Xoom.
Sorry couldnt be much help

Hi guys,
Wanted to ask you guys, Is there ANY way i could connect a 3G USB stick to my kindle fire HD
I've bought the Huawei E355 and i use wifi to connect it to the Kindle. The Stick works as a wifi-Hotspot and doesn't need a pc or notebook, only a power-source is necessary. I use 4 AAA-Cells.

The original fire (I believe) had the ability to utilize USB OTG, but the newer ones (HD, hdx) can not. This is no doubt a restriction set in place by Amazon. :/
As to your question about Bluetooth mice, I have not personally tried them, but hopefully someone else here has.
Pretty sure I tried a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard a while back and it worked... The kfhd will never support otg it lacks the power out so it is a hardware problem.

Has anyone managed to accomplish bluetooth or usb tethering on nook hd tablet? I have wifi connection on my tablet and I want to use that internet connection to pc via nook. My pc has no wireless card. I have bluetooth card in my pc. So anyone who have any idea about some apps, xposed module, modifying the kernel, flashing some zips that enables bluetooth or usb tethering please let me know. Don.'t ask me to buy wireless card for pc. Thanks.

For < $10 you can get usb wifi directly from your pc. Makes more sense imo -> http://www.amazon.com/gp/search/ref...words=usb+wifi+adapter&ie=UTF8&qid=1418427139
I tested easytether app and it will not see my nook hd+ with cm11 m12 whereas adb does see the device and works too. With my phone, easytether found that right away. So I would think something is disabled in the kernel, but could be wrong despite the fact that tethering is obviously missing from android settings and that means something.
Finally I've managed usb tethering via nook hd
I used PDAnet+ app on both pc and nook hd. It installed ADB drivers and with simple setup I was able to share internet connection.
