Apologies if this has been covered. The mini is specified to support 32gb only, has anyone tried a 64gb in it / know why 64 might not be supported?
I think it works. Maybe its some lagging.
It will only recognise it as a 32gb will it not?

I use a 64Gb Sandisk. Works fine.
Thanks all for your comments.
few people on this forum already confirmed that the 64GB are working fine, but all of them were using either SanDisk or Samsung 64GB microSD's...
so it works fine with those 2 brands, dont know about the other brands but im sure it will work fine with the major microSD producers outhere(Kingston,Verbatim etc)

I recently bought a Patriot 16GB Micro SDHC LX Class 10 card for my I9000 Galaxy S. The one problem I have had is that it does not recognize my card at all. I have done everything from FAT32 formatting to formatting as FAT32 without LBA. However, I do not believe that the microSD itself is faulty. My old Nokia E63 can read and write to this microSDHC perfectly well, even though the E63 officially only supports cards up to 8 GB. Windows can also read and write to the microSDHC card perfectly. Is there any known issues with Galaxy S and Class 10 cards? I thought Galaxy S can support any microSD card up to 32 GB. I have contacted Patriot to return the card but I'd rather get it working if possible. I am currently using an old 8 GB class 4 kingston microsdhc on the galaxy S and it works well. So, it seems that there is some incompatibility between the Galaxy S and specifically the Class 10 Patriot because they both work well independently.
1. Does anyone know why this happens?
2. I am now looking for another good microSD card, with at least 16GB. Is there any that is recommended and definitely known to work with Galaxy S?

HI
Just a comment about Patriot Warranty be very patient it took me 2 months and lots of *****ing to get a replacement
I don't think so. I have the same Patriot SDHC 10 class 16GB on my Galaxy SCL (i9003) and they work perfectly fine with each other, apart from 3 damaged images from the gallery so far. Anyway, they it does recognise the card.

You might be right, I filed a request last week and I am still waiting for them to contact me. Sad, because my Patriot USB Drive works great. Bad Customer service from Patriot.
I was initially wondering if it had something to do with the ROM I am using. I tried the card using Cyanogen 7.1.0-RC1 and now with Darky's EE 10.2 JVQ, but no luck. Plus, it doesn't make sense that the ROM would have something to do with this.

32GB of micro SD is HC. microSDHC is between 4-32GB
Galaxy Note even supports Micro SDXC - 64gb.

ps more detail is here http://www.androidnz.net/2011/09/sandisk-64gb-micro-sdxc-cards-confirmed.html
and from the main topic question : yes its support microSDHC
ps ( a bit more ) :i cant seem to find anywhere that got 64gb one in stock in UK
mobymemory.co.uk has it in stock around £100

confirmed, i have one which makes my note a beast: 32GB internal plus the 64GB sdxc makes a total of 96GB... not bad for a "phone"!
Works fine with my 64gb sdxc too.

If you had checked out the accessories subforum you would have seen a discussion about this allready, btw i love my 64GB Sandisk microsdxc in my note which i have had zero issues with. Search or have a quick look around before making a new topic

Yes, but how is it formatted FAT32 or ExFAT? Only ExFat supports files over 4GB.
I don't think that Samsung provided the ExFat driver in their kernel (it's not free).
Not samsung kernel but abyys kernel support ntfs read/write. I'm using now ntfs formatted 32gb class 10 Samsung micro sdhc card in my galaxy note without a problem. I can totally copy and watch 10gb hd movie with mx player.u can find abyys kernel in this forum.
Running 64 gig everything fine ,put card straight into phone then press format thats it. here is speeds
Sandisk ultra class 6
galaxy note rrv19.1 3.2 kernal
Hi TML1504. I did not know you could buy a note with 32gb internal memory?
If so where did you purchase from?

I am thinking of picking up a Note. I was wondering if anybody had tried the new 64GB MicroSDXC cards with it. I know that the Galaxy II phones can read the card and I was hoping the note could as well.

I haven't tried one personally - I use a 32GB card. However there are reviews on the web that mention that the Note works fine with them, also others in forums here have used them.
Check this post.....

Hey all,
Just registered on XDA after a friend recommended I join.
I have owned the P880 now for about 4 weeks and would like to expand my 16gb SDHC card to a MUCH larger size in order to ditch my iPod.
Here's my query:
I got my 4X HD from Amazon Germany and on the LG Germany website it says you can expand the SD card to 64gb, but everywhere else I have read that its 32GB - who is right?
Also, can you use SDXC cards in the P880? I'm not sure if the phone has the right drivers for SDXC.
Any help would be gratefully received.
Adam
Yes I'm pretty sure 64gb micro sdxc cards will work with O4X, I think I've read some people here say it worked on their P880. 64gb micro sdxc cards even work on devices as old as SGS1, although not officially supported. Not sure though if it will support exfat but it should run on fat32.
Hey,
64gb sd ist the maximum u can extend the phone. but it only supports fat32.

I've seen many reports of that 64gb works just fine. Same with other models as well.
It's just that samsung doesn't test full functionallity with bigger sd than 32gb.
Like for SGSII, Samusng IS stating it supports up to 32GB but I'm using Sandisk Ultra Micro SD SDXC UHS-I 64GB on mine, though I never tried it on SGSIII Mini. I mounted old 8GB class 6 there as my wife does not need more and it was just collecting dust. I could swap for a quicky test, but it's not going to tell you anything re stability etc, just if it mounts or not. I don't want to do it as my wife is using her phone all the time and I really can't see the point in taking it over for the day and waiting ... for something/anything.
Mind you - Sandisk Ultra Micro SD SDXC UHS-I 64GB can be really defective and I trust I was very lucky to get a good one.
The 64GB card's working just fine in my phone, "internal SD-external SD swap" script and all.
Thanks
Great, thanks everyone!
