[Q] battery problem

Hey guys i am still a noob and flashed 2.3.4 XXJVR succesfully and now rooted it. But i noticed this when my sgs ia fully charged and got the "battery fully charged unplug charger" message i unplug it but when i unplugged it when i see the battery widget (i use battery life) it does not show 100 % it just show 95 or 97 % or any other ranging from 90 till 99 %. Anyone know what this problem is? Can anyone help me fix this ? One more thing.. Is this a batery problem(battery is leaking) or should i re-calibrate the battery?
Help please!

Don't worry it isn't the battery. It's a known problem. It can't be fixed at the moment.

Even by re-calibrating the batery won't fix it ?

It does not hurt to try, does it? Also, when you change roms that could happen. So yeah, try to re-calibrate.

I would say try to work for : AceDroid ROM.
Click here to jump into the pool.
I practically noticed only 5 percent drop over night even after keeping wifi ON. :good:
Confirmed Deep Sleep State is ON through CPU Spy.

Good thing with this phone is that it doesn't charge when battery is full. You can see because the phone is cold and on the other side, it's warm when charging

We don't have to open a new thread for every question we have. There is a general thread for our phone and it is here and it is active..

Simple answer: Yes it is bad to leave the battery in the charger all night.
Long answer: It will get a little bit of energy once in a while to keep it around 100% charge. This itself is already bad for your battery, but that isn't everything. Battery's don't like to be full or empty, they rather be 50% or so. The same goes for your laptop etc.
The question however is, do we care about it? Well no not really, the effect of it on the battery isn't that big compared to it's lifetime. You have to remember that on average a battery wont last 2-3 years anyway.

Post your battery stats.

Post your battery stats! Thought it might be a good idea to have a forum where new comers could see what kinda of battery life you get on your rom. So post your battery stat screenshot along with the rom you are using. I will start:
A note about my battery life: I am currently using a new battery I just got off of Amazon that is 2050 mah. Phone lasts all day and into the next with ease, though this is also due to peach.
Rom: Peach Sunrise
Here is what a typical days use looks like:

Are you running a stock ROM? Custom ROM? Is the phone new? Are you using the charger and cable that came with the phone?

Have you tried turning it off and charging it? Or booting into recovery and charging?
I have tried it off and how do I charge in recovery?

Boot into recovery and leave it plugged in. Philz touch recovery will actually tell you the percentage of your battery charge

Well, it was worth a shot. I hope you find a solution to your problem . It might involve buy a new battery. I would recommend the eb40 ghetto Maxx mod if you're going to buy a new battery anyways.
Ok im going to buy the eb40 and thanks alot
