Hi to all,
This ROM is based on Windows Mobile 6.1 build 21054.
This ROM started as an experiment to test if Manila 2.5 would work with Windows Mobile 6.1.
The result is wonderful, it works very fast and very well. I've optimised some packages from WM 6.5 and some are WM 6.1 compatible.
I've tested all I can and can say that it's very usable and fast for everyday use.
Base ROM: 1.59.709.0

Some things to know...
- Footprints tab does NOT work (you can remove it from Manila tabs)
- I have not included HTCMessaging because it's too buggy at the moment, so if you try to reply the SMS from Manila you will get a black page. To create/reply SMS use WM Messaging

the v0.8 is very fast and very nice.2 bugs
home doesn't work but off yes
in settings icons are strange like bad size but efficient
continue testing
clock is not very clear and music stop after 30 s
still testing
V09 wont come out of setup cycle.

Use of V08 and V09 are better
V09 is WORKING... it takes a LONG time to setup... a REALLY long time.... and 'appears' to never get out of set up... leave it for 15 mins and will work
However...
Manila/sense screen position is broken and the start menu is a total mess (icons are vertically stretched by 150% or so..
performance is quite good... but these glaring cosmetic issues are worrying... was this ROM tested at ALL?

Yes the UC works - but I have quite a few cabs and the process is SLOW or hangs, even with multiple restarts and eventually Hard Resets
I ended up changing the folder name from Cabs to another so that it wouldn't work. Then installed my cabs manually.
The ROM is fast and so far no issues ....

This will be the final Desire Z build. I'm retiring my Droid and waiting for the Incredible HD to come out to begin development again. Z seems to be smoother because of all the bloat ware removed from it, its not packed like the HD rom another thing is that the fonts arent small, everything feels better. IMO'

i think he means its a no problem for the first stage of porting a ROM over. happens to almost every single ROM.
i have a feeling that once the HD cam is worked out, the Z will follow suit

I'm not trying to cause a stir or bash anyone, but is it too much to ask for the developers of these roms to post a screenshot or two as to what we are installing? Having to go search around for pics of roms pre-port are a real PITA. People in general look at a rom in screenshots to see if it's asthetically pleasing then read further to see if the contents work for their current needs.

One per page.
Screen shots would be nice but that would be the same as having a picture of a wrapped gift on the outside of the box. No surprise
Most screen shots would look the same if they are Sense roms.

I was just thinking of taking a tally of how many asked that question per page on the average in the HD thread and comparing it with this one after a few pages of posts come in...
Just when i thought I had mastered the HD port and everything was working perfectly (except for you know what ) .... another ID port comes out. I am running out of room on my sd card. Have had to get rid of all songs on my sdcard to make space for multiple nandroid backups of Desire HD, Virtuous, Redemptive, Ultimate droid, Skyraider, Uncommon.... and am stalking liquid, newguy ROMs.
Hopefully, this affliction is not too atypical of users here. If not, where is nearest rehab center for those addicted to new custom ROMs, kernels, themes?
rom is nice and fast like the past few ID new sense roms, really weird though on this Z rom, market is doing it's auto download apps i had before but its grabbing about 10 i have never seen or heard of hmmmm. The HD rom downloaded my apps and not ones i haven't heard of. Maybe something with my htcsense settings idk. Still nice release, cant wait til u know, camera working so all good to go.
Can any of you guys post some screenshots. I would love to see how this ROM looks before downloading, backing up, and flashing...

This is my first proper full ROM. It is based on MoDaCo Fr19, sources from 0622. I got rid off some of the LG apps, and put on a nice blue/white theme. I will try and keep up to date with Modaco ROMs.

Update from v1.1 or above
- flash as normal
Update from v1.0 or other ROMs
- full wipe first
- convert to EXT3 by flashing this from recovery - DOWNLOAD
- and then flash ROM

I made a few CM7 KANGs with few cherry-picks from CM7 sources, which are now included in RC1. So, it's pretty much the same now. I will release a CM7 based ROM when it gets more stable.
Anybody tried this rom? How is it? Fast, stable?
Looks good. Will test some more and report battery consumption.
One request: Can you please remove the volume buttons from the notification bar? Also PimpMyCpu shows that there are no governors present. Can you please fix that too?

Tegra2 has internal cpufreq governor, therefore won't support standard governors. IF nVidia releases full sources, someone might be able to do something, until then I'm afraid we're stuck with stock governor.
Can you port any battery improvements from other kernels?

What your choice Froyo or Gingerbread (can I use your CM7 flash with full wipe)

Gingerbread still has a few bugs that are troubling me, so i chose to stick with Froyo until it becomes bug-free.
