[TRICK] Resume ANY Broken Download in Opera Mini - Galaxy Ace S5830i General

It's My 900th post
Amazing Trick Requirement
*Android Device
*Opera Mini (It was only tested on Opera Mini but you can try on Opera Mobile and see if it works)
*File Manager(any)
What does the trick do?
I was derping around with my mobile
and found an amazing download. When I clicked on Download, I realised, oh BEEP
I was in Opera Mini, one of the worst download manager. One time your download breaks, it can't be resumed. I crossed my fingers and then hoped it does not fail. But it failed at 47 mb out of 50 mb
Fuuuuuuuuuu......
But then, I was so down, I decided that Challenge Accepted
I fiddled around and SUCCESS, I found out a way you can resume ANY broken download, even if you reboot your phone

For finding this trick(I hereby take no responsibility of your amazing data getting wasted trying or using this trick or your precious download failing or your device not able to run Bad Piggies or Asphalt 7 or Temple Run being laggy or IMEI loosing or Graphical Glitches or Devices bricking, blah)
Instructions:-
Read very carefully
1. Download anything IN OPERA MINI and wait it to fail (Here, we assume you downloading iamareebjamal.zip)
2. Once it is failed, DON'T CLICK ON RETRY and go to any file manager and to path of that file and rename it to whatever you like (eg: iamareebjamal2.zip)
3. Go again to Opera Mini and click on RETRY now.
4. As soon as it shows 0.1 mb downloaded, PAUSE it.
5. Go again to File Manager and you may see two files, first one which you recently renamed and new download file of approx 0.1 mb(or of size it was when you PAUSED it) [Paused file will have original download name such as iamareebjamal.zip]
6. Rename new file to whatever you want and rename the previously failed download to its original name [iamareebjamal.zip(paused download) -> whatever.zip] [iamareebjamal2.zip -> iamareebjamal.zip]
7. Go back to Opera Mini and resume the download. Download will RESUME from WHERE IT WAS FAILED. (f yeah) [Make sure Opera Mini isn't killed in renaming process as you may have to redo the whole process if it does]
8. Enjoy
This colourful and easy to understand guide was made on mobile using the individual typing of BB CODES by hands of OP
Please understand how difficult it is to do it on mobile by trying it sometime

F1 Gingerbread 2.3.1 V2

This is a stock Gingerbread build with the best graphics ever accomplished on the XPERIA X1 i got 27.8 FPS in Neocore. This build has the best battery life ever. The base i had was an alpha by neopeek but it had alot of bugs in it i tried 100% to get this build to be free of bugs and gave it alot of modifications to make it a final build. Using the Official Gingerbread launcher. Not included gapps you can download them using market.
[Guide on how to create an EXT2 partition]
Build: 2.3.1 Gingerbread

Note:
First Fully format the card including EXT2 and LINUXSWAP partitions then try this build.
After the first boot don't use it it will be slow so restart it after the first boot and wait till it completely boots then use it.
It will not charge if you dont connect the power cable when starting Android.

Right Softkey = Standby & Lock Button

Unpack the Zip file copy all the Files in the root of the fat32 partition this will be the only partition you will see in the my computer. Then go to file explorer then in storage card then into the npkinstall folder then run haret this will install files on the EXT2 partition. Then it will automatically restart after you restart back into the windows mobile go into file explorer then storage card then run haret which is in the root of the sd-card not the one in npkinstall folder and just wait and it will boot.

You mean the booting, not overall speed right?
Could someone make a video, how it works?
How is the battery life?
Few people says that it is awesome(even greater than on WM) and few ones say that battery life is poor.
Can't wait for next Alpha or Beta. The first Alpha seems to be great!
Happy new year for all X1 fans! Stay with your phone how long you can!

PC Suite for Android+HTC Sync
pc suite perform Usb connection Copy the system files
okay xD
a few bugs that i've noticed:
build has problem unlocking(waking up)->screen becomes chess board or it is black and has a few either red , green or blue pixels
keys stop working after some time(all except power button)
and your calibration file is no good xD but i've taken another one from another build and it's fine
browser doesn't crash xD it works fine and you can shut it down with wifi on and it will be fine xD
On my X1, the browser doesn't crash (with the old calibration) but the market keeps crashing after first download...
neopeek told that he will make new version in next days =D
Good i have tried it .. but browser crashes .. along with market ...

Enigma GIN & ICE OUT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

HI GUYS ENIGMA Gin & Ice Done

NEW SECTION WHAT USERS HAVE TO SAY ABOUT ENIGMA (Aimed for new poeple or skeptiks)
This is going to be my last update for my gt540 as I just got LeoHD2 but want to go out on a high so will update one last time this is still the best rom I used thanks for all the hard work
I have to say that this is the fastest rom i have tried so far. I haven't tried that many but still..
I tried your ROM and it is good (beautiful, no bugs...), but you have live wallpaper and it makes launcher slow :/
also I don't understand why you need one more browser and why is free RAM so low.
BUT after all you did good work, I like theme and speed (after I deleted few programs and changed wallpaper ), I'm looking forward to see transparent theme for widgets
The latest release is indeed the fastest so far.
@dan
the rom works great! really like the bootanimation.
All looking good so far love the new keyboard still playing aroumd with it not found any bugs thanks
hmmm, now I have 62Mb free (just few apps running) and everything is smooth.
Hey danzano mod is working great(fastest yet)

********************************************************************
ENIGMA INSTALL TUTORIAL PLEASE READ BEFORE INSTALLATION ----
This rom is in the form of a recovery file so you must have clockwork mod recovery to install it i recommend version 4.0.0.5
If you are using a custom partition table please re configure this partition table so that you have 170mb + for system this can be done using mur4iks custom boot loader THIS MAY CHANGE SO CHECK IN AFTER EACH RELEASE
Backup and wipe sd card then partition in recovery tip by pro lama
Ok you have the zip extract the zip the file inside the zip is the one you want DONT INSTALL THE ZIP ITS THE FOLDER INSIDE THE ZIP YOU INSTALL!!!!!!!!
If while installing you get a md5 mismatch please visit mygt540.com they have detailed instructions on how to fix this issue also the guys there are very helpfull
If you get stuck at boot screen for longer than say 4 mins on first boot please check the following
you have 170mb system partition
you have wiped user data and dalvik cache
you have checked your download for errors
you have not installed the system incorrectly
If all else fails do a clean install of rc5 through fastboot and then come back to enigma
If this fails which it should not the folder containing the recovery image holds a boot image and system image that you can flash through fast boot but this is last resort and not recommended as people have bricked devices not knowing how to use fastboot correctly
*************************************************************************************************
New zip this includes alot of usefull apps themes etc that you may or may not want its called the enigma goodies zip simply extract the zip choose what you like and delete the rest if you would like instruction on how to install to system or data or through adb etc pm me im here to help

ALMOST 24/7 SUPPORT ENIGMA PROGRESS DOESNT HAPPEN ITS MADE THROUGH MISTAKES

ENIGMA RC5 ---- UNODEXED ---- http://www.multiupload.com/6W4OYZ3GCS
---- ODEXED ---- http://www.multiupload.com/XXH4CA7OSU
CHANGE LOG
---- New RC5 boot.img
----New boot animation tried to deconstruct an HD boot animation and re work it for the gt540 its not the best but im still working on it
----New scripts all updated to latest versions available
----New folder in /data called scripts loops etc here you can find v6 3g etc etc copy it to your sd use it discard it whatever but its there
----Removed some apks
----Added VNC Viewer incase you run chroot sometimes like me or need to connect to the house pc for extra grunt ocassionally
----Slight changes to theme and settings
----New swap setting a lot of people said it was way to high so 45 it is
----Slight performance boosts in I/O and batt seems a tiny bit better may just be me
----Removed the new market it was full of bugs and lets be honest couldn't be themed looked like something out of windows 8 and yeah just more trouble than good
----Small comment first time you load multi mount it will take ages then say force close or wait choose wait makesure your connected to wifi should come up su permissions then your setting choose to vibrate or whatever and then good to go this should fix the issue some where having
And when you first log into market there will be updates i try to keep all current but ofcourse i cant keep up with updates in releases so i think after installing RC5 myself i had around 5mb of updates or something not big but a few make sure you got wifi

ENIGMA RC6/S1 ---- http://www.multiupload.com/HD7NQUT5ZA
EXPERIMENTAL
ENIGMA RC6/S1 RELEASE NOTES ----
Ok this newest in the series gets the S1 because in theory it should be stable but retains the rc because im not 100% sure.
VM Heap 50mb
minor changes from RC5
resolved conflicts
made it a bit faster
put the scripts and loops etc file in the root directory (easier to find)
added apps
added themes that where requested to come back
had my wifi enabled so the market showed up i didnt think this was needed but in RC5 some people said market didnt appear after adding there gmail so this should do it
not much else to note apart from there will only be a odex version of this one as i dont know if i will have to re tweak and dont wana go through deodexing to find something slightly ascue
the boot animation ive doubled the frames and set to 30fps so should be smoother let me know ??
from here ill start making a enigma goodies zip with all the free apps and themes i can find for you guys to enjoy hope you like them both
OOPS THE DANGERS OF HAVING 2 FOLDERS NAMED VEDING.APK ACCIDENTLY PUT IN THE NEW MARKET WHILE COMPILING BUT SUPRISNGLY IT ISNT PLAYING UP ANYMORE BUT LET ME KNOW ILL GO BACK TO OLD ONE IF ANY OF YOU HAVE PROBS

Rc3 with v6+smooth loop tweaks also all your modifications would be great.
Looking forward to it.

Oh, God, no SPB, please! I would say LauncherPro, but, if it's not an option, go with Stock Launcher or ADW. I think there's an app in the market for removing the google account. Check there.
Is SPB free now? I thought it was a paid app. Or is this a thread about what illegal apps we'd like In a ROM?
Sent from my GT540 using XDA Premium App
hmmm I tried spb and it seems slower that launcherpro, also launcherpro is free app so I think it is better choice.

"*Shhhh*.. we must tell no one!" . Maybe it's about time rom developers started including File Expert in their roms instead. It has the same root explorer functionality + web, ftp, etc. sharing + various viewers for files etc... And it's free(duh!).

yeah but root explorer is still my favourite, it is simple but powerful program and I like that
Hi Guy's thank-you for all the feedback so far I'm still testing at this stage.
I will definitely be using root explorer as for music it will have to be power amp
Launcher so far it's looking like Regina 3D is infront I have 75 MB free ram with Regina 3D power amp Google plus and system apks running
Benchmark scores are dropped slightly because of increased swap but useability is greatly improved so far
Any system apks you Guy's think I should lock with loops?
More feedback and idea's are welcome
Class 10 SD cards are recommended for this rom as SD cache is 3mb +
Just a heads up and a update of what's happening
Sent from my GT540RR using XDA App

Sent from my GT540RR using XDA App

Also added swipe keyboard couldn't find pro version LOL so its demo
Anything else wanted ?
Sent from my GT540RR using XDA App
Added ttorrent and couple other useful apps even with background processes still have around 73 mb free RAM
Looks good so far
Is there a way to keep all my apks but erase all my user data manually because then I can just run recovery and upload the recovery image that way I can fully test every ROM before its released

[MOD] Various Tweaks for your Galaxy S2G

Hey guys,
I would like to start to develop for this phone even without a phone (but I hope this fact is changing soon ^^ I saved 200euro by myselfe to buy a phone maybe you can help me with the rest ).
Doesn´t matter here´s a flashable zip (untested because of the no device point) that should work and includes the following tweaks. Download it and flash it through CWM. I played abit with your device´s files Detailed explanation of what is included below. Of course other Devs can use this in their Roms without asking.
Please report Bugs if you´ve found any!
GPS Boost (Credits to Crescendo Xenomorph for your brilliant idea, I played a bit with the values that are in the file you found):
To come to a better GPS and faster capture of location I edited /system/etc/sirfgps.conf
PROJECT=SAMSUNG_T1
UART_DRIVER=/dev/ttyO0
RESET_GPIO=/sys/devices/virtual/sec/gps/GPS_nRST/value
ONOFF_GPIO=/sys/devices/virtual/sec/gps/GPS_PWR_EN/value
EXTERNAL_LNA=1
REF_CLOCK_26MHZ=1
UART_BAUD_RATE=2
FREQUENCY_AIDING=0
SENSOR_AIDING=0
SET_ID_IMSI=1
DEBUGGING_FILES=0
SSL_ENABLED=1
CERTI_VERSION=0
CP_RESPONSETIME=2
CONTROL_PLANE=1
ATT_NETWORK_OPERATOR=0
EMC_ENABLE=0
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
If you change EMC_ENABLE, SENSOR_AIDING and FREQUENCY_AIDING to 1 there will be a big improvement but also more battery consume when you use GPS. (Of course already done in the .zip).
Faster Boot:
To enable a faster boot I edited the script /system/etc/init.goldfish.sh
[...]
# disable boot animation for a faster boot sequence when needed
boot_anim=`getprop ro.kernel.android.bootanim`
case "$boot_anim" in
0) setprop debug.sf.nobootanimation 1
;;
esac
[...]
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
You have to make sure that setprop debug.sf.nobootanimation 1 will be done in every case, you will now boot very faster. (Also done in the .zip).
Higher IdleTimeout (Bluetooth):
It´s not really a Tweak I just increst the IdleTimeout time because I always use it at this level, it seems more logical to me. Edited in /system/etc/bluetooth/input.conf
# Configuration file for the input service
# This section contains options which are not specific to any
# particular interface
[General]
# Set idle timeout (in minutes) before the connection will
# be disconnect (defaults to 0 for no timeout)
#IdleTimeout=30
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Longer DiscoverableTimeout (Bluetooth):
When I want to transfer files via bluetooth I always anger about the low time the phone is by default in a discoveryable mode (so that your device can be seen by other devices). So I also cahnged this from 180 to 300
[...]
# How long to stay in discoverable mode before going back to non-discoverable
# The value is in seconds. Default is 180, i.e. 3 minutes.
# 0 = disable timer, i.e. stay discoverable forever
DiscoverableTimeout = 300
[...]
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
You can find the lines in /system/etc/bluetooth/main.conf
Set PairableTimeout (Bluetooth):
Samsung invented the DiscoverableTimeout but doesn´t use the pairablemodeTimeout to save battery! Why?
[...]
# How long to stay in pairable mode before going back to non-discoverable
# The value is in seconds. Default is 0.
# 0 = disable timer, i.e. stay pairable forever
PairableTimeout = 0
[..]
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
So I set a PairableTimeout at 1000 by default. You can find the lines in /system/etc/bluetooth/main.conf
If you have any problem feel free to post your question below. I will add some other tweaks when I found some new If you like my work, please thank, may consieder a donation and line my facebook page. Thanks! Happy flashing

Not as smooth as the first release. Maybe I still have to let it bake in.

Hi,
Thank you very much, I was about to return my phone because I couldn't deal with the RAM management issue any longer but this ROM seems to have solved it. The ROM is working great. But i have a request for the home button functions. How can I get the double click to launch camera and long press to activate Google now?

home2shortcut for camera.. unfortunately those are typically sammy features and i have removed sammy setup wizard which is needed for that..
so essentially you need the sammy wizard there on first boot or else it wont work.. you can try to manually add it back in the rom.zip then flash it but there most likely is other sammy crap it calls on and if something is missing it wont let you past that initial boot screen so for ease of booting up i removed it instead of adding in all samny crap..
if its a must for you unfortunately id have to say you need to run extreme syndicate v8 since this rom is going in the opposite direction

Yup, I'm using it on my normal s6 right now. Its nice having the people L's edge feature and this ROM is really extremely light. Feels more responsive than other Roms I've tried but make sure you don't mind missing out on any of the Samsung stuff as its almost all removed.

This ROM is so smooth. Very smart to swap out the Google now launcher for apex launcher and launcher 3. Never has my phone operated so smoothly

After using this ROM for 12+ hours I am having a major issue. I flashed the ROM a second time and the issue still exists. The phone runs very smoothly for about 20-30 minutes after a restart. Then if I switch between 3-4 apps, the phone completely freezes for 2-3 minutes. If I continue to clear recent apps, then the freezing happens less often. Anyone else having this issue? Another thing I would appreciate if someone can check is if they can make video or voice call using Google hangouts. I keep getting the error that it stopped working. Thanks.

hangouts issue is hit or miss on most debloated roms.. me and other devs for other variants have been unable to find the culprit.
i havent had my phone freeze once lol ive at times had multiple apps open 8+ i switch between with no lag or freezes.
Sent from my SM-G925V using XDA Free mobile app
I am also having freezing issues. My phone has frozen 3 times now and it has completely shutdown and turned itself off twice now. This can't be fixed with a normal power on or reboot. You have to press all 4 buttons and hold for 10 seconds and have it go to the recovery screen. From there you can reboot.
I've never had issues like this on this phone prior to installing this. I love the ROM but hopefully this doesn't continue.
Those issues sound very bizzarre; out of the ordinary.
The only issue I have had since installing the ROM is the app 'Inbox by Gmail' will not detect an internet connection

[GUIDE] How to install s7/n7 port roms on note 4 SM-N910S/L/K

I recently bought a note 4 and it turned out to be a n910s. There arent many 910s devs around so i decided to look around on how to boot these roms on our device. These are my findings and i present it as a guide so that other n910s users can benefit from this too.
All credits go to the original devs of the roms/kernels
I will not be responsible for a bricked or broken devices
These are the same exact steps thats i did, if you follow them in that particular manner youll have a new rom on your device in no time
HOW TO INSTALL S7 ROM ON N910S
To my knowledge the only s7 rom that boots up on the n910s is the DN5 rom. Here are the steps to do so
1.Download DN5 rom from the E-Team website http://electron-team.com/sm-n910c-2/
2.Download the latest firmware for the n910s from sammobile https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-N910S/
3.Extract the downloaded firmware file two times until you get the modem,boot,cache... files
4.Open downloaded DN5 rom (Default opens with Winrar)
5.Drag the boot.img file from the samsung official firmware and add and replace it in "eteam" folder of DN5
6. Do the same for the modem.bin (You'll have to flash bootloader manually)
7. Copy the modified DN5 folder to your devices internal storage or external sd card.
8. Flash rom, manually flash bootloader through odin and it'll boot
ENJOY THE FLAVORS OF THE S7
It takes about 10-15 minutes to boot
To save battery on the s7 rom use Grennify and Force Doze
Unfortunately there is no script to debloat s7 roms automatically. You'll have to manually download a system app remover from the play store grant root access and then uninstall or disable system apps.
ALSO ON THE N910S WHEN YOU GO TO MAKE A CALL THERE IS A STATIC NOISE (THIS HAPPENS ON BOTH THE S7 AND N7 ROMS) TO FIX THIS FLASH THE FILE BELOW IN RECOVERY all credits go to @tanthuychivietnam on making this fix
https://mega.nz/#!ohUmHJJL!FQB-6Ejt4KmmdICNfgbXPQ7CqBzE5xIGGqW8XQ06Qgg
HOW TO INSTALL N7 ROM ON N910S
To my knowledge every N7 port rom i've tried to boot up with this method has worked and this the easiest method out of the 2
1.Download your N7 port rom of choice
2.Download prime kernel. If you dont have prime kernel send an email to [email protected] and an automated email will give you the links to the kernel
3.move kernel and rom to internal storage/external sd card
4. flash rom and then kernel
5. DONT REEBOT, flash latest modem and bootloader and youre done
YOUR N4 IS NOW A N7*YAY**RIP N7*
Battery drain is quite significant on all N7 ports because samsung didnt update the software any further *we all know why* and also there maybe heating issues.If anyone does have a heating problem just delete system/bin/debug_interface_proxy Of course this differs from user to user depending on their usage and their preference of the rom
There is a debloat script available for debloating the N7 ill link it down below. credits go to @Near_07 on making this excellent script
DEBLOAT ALL N7 ROMS - https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=69891651&postcount=8829
To save battery on N7 roms use Greenify and force Doze as mentioned above and also go to Samsung under "Accounts" and disable all sync This is the main reason your phone stays awake even while the screen if off and it drains a lot of battery. Also try disabling "Enable Fast Charging" under the battery section, this too might help
In my opinion PIROBOT v6 is the best and most stable n7 port for the n910s right now, again this is my opinion and it may differ from user to user
These are the steps i followed to get DN5 S7 and any N7 rom to boot up on the N910s. Hope these steps can help you guys too. If it did all i ask for is a thanks, don't worry its free
If i forgot to credit any devs for their amazing work or if you want any edits drop me a pm and ill add/edit your name/work
Finally this is none of my work, just a guide, shoutout to all those amazing devs out there who make all this happen

Thank you for your help. My phone is n916k , a korean note 4 like yours. I flashed dn7 rom on it and it's working well except for the lockscreen security, pin, pattern and password don't work on mine , I don't know why, in can input the password, pin or pattern on lockscreen security setting but when I want to unlock the phone, none of them work. Fortunately i only have to flash Dr. ketan lockscreen security bypass v1.1 to delete the lockscreen security And get back my phone working without reflash the all rom. And about the heating problem, I don't have it anymore. A nice guy told me to delete system/bin/debug_interface_proxy and it worked, up to now no heating anymore.
If you have a fix for this lockscreen problem, please could you share with us. Thanks

I didnt experience any of the lock screen problems when i flashed dn7. Thanks for the heads up on the heating problem ill look into it. Have you tried using a third party lockscreen app. If not i suggest you switch roms. DN7 is not that good with the prime kernel. Im on pirobot v6 which is also a note 7 port and i get excellent battery life with the kernel plus there are no lockscreen issues either

Hi @vishudha98, I flashed pirobot rom v6 for n910c on my n916k, up to now everything is working fine, no heating, no laggy, deep sleep very good too. Only Samsung keyboard fcs, do you know if there is a fix for that ? On google plus I found 3 fixs and flashed them but they didn't solve Samsung keyboard problem. Actually I use another keyboard, it's working well but if possible I would like to have Samsung keyboard working.
Anyway thank you so much for pointing me to use this wonderful rom, I really like it. And by the way, the link on the OP for call noise fix for n910s doesn't work, please do you know if there is a call noise fix for n916k inside this file?

Thank you for this. M downloading it right now. But about the link in the op, I can't download the voice fix on the OP, the link doesn't work. It only opens my Mega apk and nothing else, no import nor download button. It only happens for this. Please could you provide another link on mega of this voice fix? Thank you

Of course I did. I also checked the zip file and found that for each device inside system/etc there is only one file libsec-ril.so and I think that's not enough to fix call noise problem because I found another fix, darklord fix and it's the same as truongtan's fix and both don't work on my device. I also looked inside Dr. Ketan's fix call Noise for note 5 Korean and inside lib there are more than one file. Maybe only libsec-ril.so isn't enough.
Anyway thanks for all.
