I dont know the default location, maybe root of sdcard or internal not sure.. I've never accepted ota updates so idk
Now, I'll update more screenshot, anyone want anymore please pm me now!
This is probably a development version though.
Can I contact him though somewhere? I can give him access to EMMA to check his customization and make an ftf.

Anything with more bandwidth, you may fine the file gets temporarily disabled if too many try to download it.
Try mediafire or dev host

I give you an example. English char is A-Z, a full English font library contains A-Z, 26 English char, that mean display English is OK.
But for Chinese, it is over 20 thousand char, if some Chinese char is missing in the font, that mean some Chinese is unable to display.
has anyone tried to root this? I was able to root the first ftf available a few days ago, but I updated to this using my own ftf from my wife's phone and now I can't root this version.

I had to wipe the device and then it worked.
Use v26, at least it worked for me.

Hm. Well, that was surprisingly convenient. Over air update doesn't see the update yet. But the PC suite app found the install, etc. Even kept all my data.

NoobTW requested a flashable zip of this firmware and I went ahead and made it. Decided to drop it here because it will probably get more exposure here and more people can enjoy it.
I'm an LT30p user myself so I can't do much in terms of support.
Just wanted to give you this to spark some interest in building your own ROMs and get you going.
Use dsixda's Android Kitchen, once you learn to master it, you're on your way to becoming a ROM Chef.
Please don't ask me for any updates or new features. This is provided "as is".
Feel free to use this as a base for your own ROM as long as give me some credit and link to this thread

Make a full nandroid backup and make sure you have the ftf handy in case of emergency.

You don't have to because it was included in the deodexed zip but it doesn't hurt if you do.
If you would test it I would be grateful.

Removed the "Untested" label since everything seems to be working.
I'd like to try it, if my download ever finishes. I'm getting a staggering 12kb/s from DevHost. Hopefully they solve the speed issues.

I have no idea, try reflashing or redownloading.
Already did, went back to stock firmware and nothing appears, load it again and I have the stuck pixel only in 60%+ brightness (always using 10% no problem for me).

Thanks! Been using this for testing purposes, have flashed it quite a bit with no problems at all. Works very nicely just as stock. Would be perfect if the initial zip had recovery already but that's just nitpicking
I'm having a play around with the ROM in the OP using dsixda's kitchen, but as this is the first time I've tried this I need a little advice.
1. When in the kitchen, it wants to change the updater-script to an update script, can I just go ahead and do this ? Or does this step need a XV specific script? I'm confused as to the relevance of the script added in the OP and if I should somehow be using that.
2. Is there a list somewhere of the bloatware (is this only apk's) that can safely be removed ? I can't find one.

Don't change it to update-script, it will mess things up when changing back to updater-script. Best you can do is unpack the ROM to a folder in the root of the kitchen and put WORKING_ in front of it. Just use the kitchen for building the ROM zip.
There's no definitive list of bloatware but if you Google "xperia bloatware" you will find the most common ones. The rest is personal.

this is newest version of Jelly Bean 9.1.A.1.142 for LT30p (thx to the_laser for providing Stock FTF).
Works on unlocked and locked bootloader.
This is pure Stock, with all bloatware included by Sony!

Go to recovery and Full Wipe / Factory Reset (not really needed when coming from any Sony Stock based 4.1.2 - ROM, but always recommended!!!).
