I just got a Nexus 7 (2012 version) and wanted to know if there's a way to flash tablet UI on 4.2.1 (JOP40D). I just rooted and put TWRP on it. Haven't flashed a new ROM yet.
Also any suggestions on which is a good stable ROM to try on this device?

Thanks in advance!

If you mean stock rom, then yes, if you cant update your tablet via OTA you can manually install it via ADB or using a temporary recovery (search it in xda).

Thanks!
I searched but only found for other models of this tablet, couldn't install it.
i tought you were talking about the me176cx model, the me173cx has no more support or any custom rom avaible to get kitkat/lollipop etc the only rom avaible is a modified rom of android 4.2.2.
Please could someone migrate or do a ROM based in cm12 or cm13 (lollipop or marshmallow) for this tablet??
I'm on original 4.2.2..
Thanks.

If there is an answer to this problem, please share. I have recently acquired a memo Pad 7 HD as well

you shouldnt have bought it, its a very old tablet and this tablet has no support and its impossible to port anything above 4.2.2, since its using a closed source mediatek chipset.
Hi guys, i'm a newbie to android rooting. I want to install candy floss on my xolo a500s. I saw some rom installation on youtube and understood how to install a rom on a device.i have rooted my mobile via framroot app. I have also installed stuff like busybox, titanium backup, cwm recovery etc... Now,the website said that i willhave to patch for some features to work after flashing the rom. So my questions are, 1. What is this patching?
2.what is ips and non ips patch?
3.how to apply that patch?
And yes, i have not yet flashed that rom yet, but am willing to. Thanks in advance.
The website where i got the details is "thexoloa500s dot blogspot dot in"
