[ISSUE] Cellular reception - Xperia Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I previously had the LTE connection problem, but now it escalated to even HSPA! It was working previously, but my carrier signal couldn't be detected when I'm indoors. I removed the sim and placed in another phone but the signal was full. Anyone having the same dilemma? I tried to reset the phone to no avail. Thanks

Did you flashed another firmware or still on stock with locked bootloader?
If so repair the phone with pc companion.

Still with stock everything. I will try to repair it in a while as I am using an Apple computer. Thanks!

Unable to connect to mobile network.

Hi
I have a i9305 on Tmobile UK. The problem I'm getting is that at time when I don't have any signal and my phone connects to the network in the notification bar it shows that I have signal even H+, but when I'm trying to phone someone it says "no mobile network" or "network not available". It frustrating because sometimes I notice only after few hours. I phoned t-mobile but there a bunch of incompetents. What can I do without sending the phone back to them. Thanks

I forgot to mention that the phone is not rooted and it runs on stock rom.

Ive been getting same problems and still cant find a solution.
But you could try to do a factory reset, or root your phone and try different modems
I've tried with factory reset and hard reset and still the same. I don't want to root the phone at this time. Thanks for your answer.

Call up your carrier!
If you haven't even rooted your phone yet then it is most likely a hardware issue

Losing mobile network after long period without signal

Hi my XZ is having this weird issue where it won't connect back to the mobile network after phone lose the signal for a while. For example when I take the subway to work after I got out of the subway the mobile network won't reconnect unless I restart the phone. Could it be because I flash c6603's baseband to my c6602?

so this issue is because of LTE sim? any solution other than swaping an non LTE sim card ?
You can flash the baseband separately with flashtool if you don't want to change the firmware.
And maybe try the new .307 firmware.

Same happened to me few times but just when I was in 434 firmware, now with 253 it happens but after a long period of no signal, what I do to solve and no restart the phone is going to airplane mode for 30 seconds and then turn off airplane, after that my signal and data are just fine

Network signal blinking after changing sim card.. help!!

Hi. My brother's note is not rooted and he didn't do anything in it. Today he changed his sim card and when he started up his phone, he cant make any calls or sms. Network signal changes every second from having network to blocked icon. Both sim cards belong to the same network company. He changed back to his old sim card and showed the same. Warranty is out and im ready to fix it if it needs any firmware changes or rooting but he doesnt want to do any of that. I will do it if there is no other solutions.
Thanks

[Q] C6603 not having 4g option (UK)

Hi,
Hoping someone can shed some light on this odd problem I have. I'm on EE in the UK which is at moment our only 4g provider. I smashed my old S3 LTE screen so my girlfriend (Who is on 02) upgraded early to an xperia z, which we were assured is 4g compatible. We had to unlock the phone to work on my network of course.
However, after unlocking I don't have the option to change to 4G in the network menu.
I've checked the following:
The phone is the C6603 model, which I double checked supported the bands and frequencies used by EE
I receive 4g in my area (Used to with old phone)
I checked with 02 that the phone was 4G compatible
However I'm guessing it's been turned off in the software that 03 loaded to customize the phone. I can't for the life of me find any info on the internet on how this is done or reversed, and I'm a little hesitant to flash the ROM as I would be murdered should I brick the thing.
Any ideas? Anything appreciated.
I flashed the Spanish 4.2.2 ftf file onto my UK 3 Z.
That gives me the option to use LTE networks. You might have to do something similar to get yours to pick up a LTE signal.
Did you say the phone was from O2?
Its also a piece of piss to flash ftf files. You don't even have to root or unlock the bootloader.

Yeah, phone was got from 02. I suspected that there's something loaded with the bloatware... Hm, so I guess I need to try flashing and risking the wrath of the girlfriend should it go up the swanny..
Dial *#*#4636#*#* and in phone information there is an option to change to lte,try it.

Now this is odd, I had the option when I went in there... But it flicks straight back to WCMDA Preferred. I also just rooted it.. so I'm confused now.
So better to do what warface suggest.

sim card reboots my T

Hi there i have this issue please help. My T is rooted and unlocked and i use the PureXT 4.3 rom. When the sim is out the phone works but when i insert the sim reboots.
And I guess it just keeps rebooting all the time with the SIM inserted?
Otherwise it's normal, when you remove or insert a SIM it reboots automatically.
Have you tried a different SIM?
Sent from my LT30p using XDA Free mobile app
It reboots randomly when the sim is in. Yes I tried a different sim I had the same problem when I bought it but know I don't have warranty. Also i notice that when i charge it the phone is ok.

But if it happens with every SIM it can't be a SIM problem either.
Sent from my LT30p using XDA Free mobile app
It will start to reboot when battery percentage drops to some level. In my case it was everything ok until battery drops to 50-60%. If I plug the charger, reboots stops.
Thanks for the tip I will replace battery but I have one question how the phone works without sim
Sent from my LT30p using Tapatalk
I think that GSM signal could be trigger.
Check this video I recorded
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=309fHOxomHE
my lt30p is currently in for repair for the 3rd time due to this problem. random rebooting unless the sim is removed or its on charge
