I flashed it, but now I am unable to boot into recovery. It takes me to the bootloader instead.
The only way I can get back into recovery is to flash and older version of CWM. Is anyone else having this issue?
Same problem here, with i9020.
i've a german nexus s (.23) it works very well!

It also killed my recovery.
This killed my recovery too. I did as Suprakarma suggested and all is well.
From within RomManager, run the fix permissions script.
(This had a problem on my device, it appears it doesn't like the BusyBox that Titanium Backup installed, so I had to install a new copy from the market).
Once that script's finished, reboot, then reinstall recovery from Rom Manager. Boot into recovery.
Hope that helps.
nop working i fix permition and flash recovery and stell same no working

Flash a rom. Because there isn't any system installed. This is caused by you formatting it. Also, try making your question more clear next time.

Make sure you have cwm5.
Go to recovery, flash custom zip. And then select the downloaded zip file.

Can't get into Recovery Mode and Download Mode!
Hi there!
I'm having a difficulty in getting into Recovery Mode and also Download Mode!
The Volume up+Power+Home doesn't work and Volume Down+Power+Home doesn't work also. But somehow I can get into Download Mode by pressing down the Volume up+Volume Down+Power Buttons but after that Odin is not recognizing my device!
Any help?

[Q] Trouble flashing new recovery.

Im having a bit of trouble flashing WXC recovery. WXC was my original recovery but in order for me to use ROM Manager i needed to flash CM Recovery so i did. After i flashed it i learned that i actually cannot even get to recovery due to that fact that it just stays on the HTC logo. How can i fix this?
Go to the themes and apps thread...
Find flashimagegui...
Download and install...
Download Goomanager from the market...
Run Goomanager...
Hit menu button...
Hit install open recovery script...
Open flashimagegui...
Switch to recovery...
Browse to where twrp was downloaded...
Flash away...
Reboot recovery

Stock Recovey KOT49H Zip

Have a custom recovery but want the stock recovery and don't want to go through fastboot. Here's a zip of KOT49H recovery that's flashable in your custom recovery.
http://d-h.st/z4c
Edit, remember, the stock recovery shows a dead android. Just hit vol up to get into it.

I can't possibly think of a scenario why you would WANT to use stock recovery over custom recovery.

So, I successfully flashed CWM via Odin but when I entered recovery mode, I was taken to stock recovery. What could be the problem?

So you didn't successfully flash CWM... or you reflashed CWM recovery with stock recovery.

I guess not. It did say "PASS", though... I'll try it again and see what happens.
I reflashed CWM successfully... I powered down the phone, rebooted in recovery mode and, again, found myself in stock recovery. What gives!?
Are you sure that you are really flashing CWM and have correct version for your phone? If in both cases is answer yes, I'm out of ideas.
Yep... I'm using this guide. http://techbeasts.com/2013/10/24/install-cwm-recovery-and-root-samsung-galaxy-s3-mini-i8190nl-how-to-guide/
Hmmmm...
EDIT: It appears it's identical to this guide here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2147852 so I don't know what the problem could be.

CWM : this version don't support Touch control. So you have to navigate with vol up/down in the menus
CWM Touch : how the name already say, it support Touch control, it means you don't need to navigate with vol up/down and it also support "create zip image" this does backup your system as a flashable .zip.

Thanks, xXPR0T0TYPEXx... I should have known that's what it meant!
I tried different versions of Odin and the touch CWM and for the first time received a "FAIL"... I'm going to try to use another computer and see if I have any success.
Also: I know I should probably search this (and I will) but just in case I can't get anything to work>>>> Is there another way to root this phone WITHOUT the use of CWM? or is this the only way? Thanks, again!
And just so I can confirm how to properly boot into CWM:
I power down the phone and press VOLUME UP + HOME BUTTON + POWER, correct?
This is the method of how to boot into stock recovery but, as I understand it, if CWM is properly flashed it should take me to Clockworkmod INSTEAD of stock recovery. Am I correct?

Yes you are correct! And yes there is a other way to get root access. Have a look here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2459910 !
Tip : if you use this way don't foget to enable usb debugging.
