I did some research but didnt quite find wt im looking for, my question is, I flashed my verizon LG Revolution to metro Pcs, and most of the time i get 1x signal and some times I get 3g, can this device work under metro 4g? since it is a 4g phone from verizon.

There were a few hurdles I had to overcome but its done now with working voice, sms, mms and data with market. One thing I missed before I switched to Metro is that they don't have a 3G network. I guess I just assumed they did, so I'm getting 1X speeds, tough to get used to.
Does anyone know what towers Metro uses? And would it be possible with the right PRL to force it to use valid towers that support 3G?
Just curious if any Metro users have gone beyond just getting it to work with our phones
Thanks

Is it possible to get a T-mobile N1 to support the 3G Bands 850/1900 that the bell network supports? I know it is possible to flash different radios with android phones. I am still a fairly new user to android but i'am trying to learn and u can't learn with out asking questions
Thanks,
Ryan
You won't get 3G. You need the AT&T version for Telus/Bell/Rogers. You could try Wind or Mobilicity.
well that sucks, neither of those are in Nova Scotia where i am located
You could always try to look for someone to trade with, AT&T for Tmobile Nexus.
But it would probably be hard to do in person if there is no demand for it in Nova Scotia.
I don't know how safe it would be to trade by mail.
Any plans that Wind or Mobilicity will come to Nova Scotia? Just curious.
You could get it to work on Rogers GSM network but you won't get 3G, I could be wrong but I don't think Bell or Telus have GSM networks so you're out of luck there.
Oh yeah, there is that little snafu too. Even worse.
It will work on Rogers but you won't get 3G speeds.
It won't work at all on Bell/Telus.

So are you saying his Tmobile won't work on Bell/Telus at all?
But an AT&T will work fine on Telus, with 3G as well?
I am considering buying a nexus one for when I switch to telus next month.
Yes, the T-Mobile version will only work on Rogers/Fido with 2G only.
It will not work on Bell/Telus at all, ever.
It will only work on 3G on Wind Mobile and Mobilicity.
If you want full Rogers/Telus/Bell support, you need the AT&T version.

If you're a Canadian and you want a "Nexus One-like" experience on Bell/Telus/Rogers, and you're having trouble finding one with the right 3G bands...
Get an HTC Desire from Telus. Problem solved. If you don't like Sense UI you can flash it with all sorts of ROMs that will make it feel more like an N1, or you can put MIUI on it, or Cyanogen, etc...
Or according to mobile syrup(can't link) the nexus S will be on the big 3 in march
I'll start by explaining what happened. My evo took a crap on me the other day and won't charge at all. I tried different cables buts nothing worked. So I went to the metro pcs store and got the Samsung indulge, convinced that it was a good purchase. It wasn't. This phone is terrible. So I was wondering if there is a guide out there explaining how to flash the bionic onto the metro pcs service with my sim card from my indulge that I hate. I got the bionic when it was available on Amazon for a penny I've searched for a way but I can't find one. Can anybody point me in the direction of a guide to flashing? My bionic is rooted already and so is the indulge if that matters.
No Way to Flash 4g
So you are trying to flash the Bionic 4g LTE to Metro and that can be done for talk and text, probably for 3g, but you will never be able to flash the 4g portion to Metro. The problem is that Metro uses the much slower 1700 mhz LTE service and Verizon uses the much faster 700 mhz LTE. The LTE chip in the current phones is not able to switch between the two frequencies and that is why it will not work. I hope some day in the near future that cell phone companies will make an LTE chip that you can select the frequency for the carrier that you are on. Until then if you want 4g on Metro you are saddled with their POS phones. Hope this helps.
Hello friends, I live in King Count, Seattle Washington, and my area has Sprint's 4g LTE. I got Galaxy S4 and 60% of the time I have LTE, whilte other 40% on 3g. I return my Galaxy S4 and I got HTC One instead, and now I can't even get 20% of LTE% even if I'm only 500ft away from the tower I can't get 4G LTE. I went sprint store and they check the phone and they said you know what, this phone didn't pass the network test so we will give you another one. I got another HTC One and I still could'nt get LTE!, So I'm kind of thinking HTC One has poor 4G LTE Signal at least on Sprint, What do you guys think? this is my 2nd HTC One and I really missed my Galaxy S4 because of the LTE....
Some people are saying HTC One has one band of Sprint LTE, So I didn't understand can anyone help me please. thanks

Not sure how many lte bands the one supports but Sprint.only has one lte band deployed anyway. I don't think think it's deployed the 800mhz one anywhere.

If they have not launched your market, then I wouldn't worry about it

Having the same problem here in Charlotte NC also had a S3 and got LTE a good majority of the time. Got the One yesterday and now in those same areas not getting LTE I guess it's a antenna problem maybe. Sucks thinking I'm going to have to get the S4 and really dont want to.
1.Radio update could fix the problem.
2.Wait for your area to be deployed and see if LTE gets better.
3.If neither works then we know the phone is incapable of holding weak LTE signals.
It's up to you to decide if you want to risk the upgrade and wait. My Note 2 holds LTE a lot better than this phone as well. But from what I've seen in these areas where my Note 2 would have an LTE signal the speeds were very poor.. The problem with this HTC One is the hand off between 4G and 3G sucks so bad. Which is why I've forced my phone to only use 3G and never connect to 4G..

Remember the One only has 800 LTE, which Sprint is deploying 1900 ( or 2100, cant remember) first.

Note that NO Sprint phone at this time has anything other than 1900mhz LTE support.

I have just found out that if you have a ATT phone and use Tmobile Sim you only get 4g lte, I have been asking about it but havent really gotten a answer, Havent really noticed any problems in the past though, I get good download speeds and upload, But havent tried it really in a area where no 4g is available.
