[Q] Bricked Phone

Hi, I've big problem with my phone. I've "successfully" unlocked my bootloader.. but my phone doesn't work anymore. Flash Mode doesn't work too. Is there any option too repair it? If not, how much service will take for repair that? Sorry for my english.

How can sues fix a hard brick when it can't even fix a soft brick / Sorry mate the only thing to do now is to send it to se for repairs

Totally no response whatsoever? Please check your phone date of manufacturing! There were many warning in this forum already!

im using flashtool 0.2.9.1,s1tool my w8-code is 12w12,

Why did you even try? You read the warnings. Try to plug the charger and wait a few minutes and cross your fingers.
If that doesn't work, i hope your warranty is still in effect because you need to send it to sony.
No warranty anymore? Hopefully you're good with electronics. Find a guide here on xda and try to unbrick it with ressurection cables.
That's it. I hope you have warranty though.

you cant fix it you must go in place where you buy it and mut have warranty

i had hardbrick an se fix it for free :good: :good:

Just send it to Sony. If they ask you what have you done, just say that you were updating the software with PC Companion and when it finished, you couldn't turn it on.

FYI there is fix for hard brick using setool which is completly free. But setool requires setoolbox to run on pc but some good guys( actually only one I know- alejandrissimo) do it for free.i wish I could help but I don't have that box it costs some $.

Unlock bootloder w8 11-29+

If handset is in warranty, can i take the risk of unlocking bootloder?
Is sony Ericsson service center repaired it for me under warranty agreements ?

Well, if you hardbrick your phone, there will be no way how o determine what have you done to it. You can try it, if it gets bricked, go to Sony service centre and tell them that you were updating your phone with PC Companion and after update you couldn't turn it on. They will change your motherboard and if you're lucky, you will get one made before 11w29 (but most probably you'l get 11w29+).
Do it at your own risk. I'm not responsible if you try it, hardbrick your phone and Sony won't accept your warranty.
AFAIK some people have already tried this and Sony changed their motherboards.

if you try you will get hard brick,but if you still insist,then try......
when you go to the shop to ask to repair your phone dont tell them what you did,just play dumb....

Warranty will void if i unlock the bootloder,but at the process of unlocking bootloder if i not succeeded is it deemed to be unlock bootloder and gone from warranty??

that SE didn't repair phone cz software update or something else that made from your self..
just like noob and tell them if your phone couldn't turn on (if failed on unlocking)

what if...
what if u already hardbrick ur x8(no vibrate+led), then send to shop n managed to revive it...
my x8 is 12w05,i forgot to check unlcking BL thread b4 unlocking it so i accidently hardbricked my x8
so aftr reviving it..the hardware inside it is still considered manifactured at 12w05?

i was make bootloader on x8 .... and i plugin usb and start bot .... but after that the phone don't start up i click on start up key ... but nothing happened no light screen no vibration no anything ... and i try to charge my phone ... no any LED light and i use USB for PC .. no LED light too i need help please ... sorry my english is bad ... and i try update services and i press back button key and plugin usb ... phone don't light and don't give me green LED

Didn't u read before do it.
U cannot repair it by yourself. Send it to a repair shop if u don't have warranty.
Otherwise find a guy who own and can use jtag box

it sounds like u bricked it..check again if it is bricked...there is a manual way to repair it...you will need Medusa box but it will cost you

It isn't worth manual repairing,you will need some expensive tools,you better buy a new phone,or if you are under warranty you will not have any problem.
If you are expert at electronics you can surely fix it,and you may have some of the tools already,if you are not,follow the above

Yes.. i really want to know how can I Hard Brick my Z1 so that even Customer Service people wouldn't know that my phone has UL Bootloader or not? Though I won't try that but still its good to know the procedure.. Kindly suggest a procedure for Solid Hard Brick.

Simply flash any firmware and untick the bootbundle in flashtool and u will get ur hardbrick

this sounds illegal !
but who cares
+ flashing uncompatible firmware or kernel can do this. (for example flash kernel of s4!!!)
BUT is thr anyway to know u were unlocked or not...
if i be instead of ur region service center i wouldn't accept ur phone cause first step of doing something with android is unlocking + rooting ! but this becomes a scenario; now service should think u were stupid (sorry) and didn't have any knowledge and f*up ur phone and ..................................
btw there might be way to know it for example ur phone logs on sony servers or any other servers that they can check it!
(one good thing is almost centers don give sh* with these and will replace ur phone!)

You will be really helpfull to Developers to mess around with new stuff! They will cook your phone so much that you will get a replacement 100%.

Try to flash a kernel, but immediately disconnect the USB cable

Take a 6 inch nail and a hammer, place the spikey end of the nail on the screen and hit the other end reasonably hard with the hammer. Boom...instant hard brick.

Well yes i knw.. But the question itself to be self understood that its been asked about how can v find loopholes in warranty if some f***up is done.. Also only for knowledge.. Who gives a **** about warranty .. My Z1 is already 5 month old just have to take care till 12 months after that warranty has nothing to do
