[Q] No Recovery after Bootloader Unlock/ flashing CWM - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hello,
by using this tool http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2183942
i have unlocked my htc one (fastboot status is unlocked) - it's not my first htc device (flashed a sensation and a desire - and some samsung device too).
now after flashing cwm my device only boots up normaly - the shortcut volume up+ power won't work (only adb brings me to the booloader) and the recovery won't work too - the device reboots (showing shortly a white screen with red letters (0,1 sec or so) and reboots directly) -
adb reboot recovery - no way
fastboot erase cache - no way/ no changes
flashing different recovery images - no way
it's a unbranded german device with software version 1.27.206.1
any help?

That's not unbranded, that's from o2. If it was unbranded it'd be on x.xx.401.x

ok, thought it was unbranded (no custom software, bootlogo or something like this present on the device) - and you're right, it's an o2 device.
correct me if i'm wrong, but i'd to relock my bootloader and use the appropriate RUU to got my recovery back - is that right?
any chance to get the RUU update file from the net?

I hold volume- to get into the menu.
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app

haven't a clue - but my problem isn't a problem anymore - no idea why - changed nothing

[Q] Help! - Bricked Incredible S, S-ON, unable to boot past HTC logo

Hi guys,
what I have:
Optus (AU) HTC Incredible S - it was running 2.3.3 fine, no hacks/root or anything has been done to it. [I've done a vol down + power button hboot thingy and it says S-ON]
what happened:
I connected the phone to a WIFI network to update my apps, it started updating many apps. mid-way through the updates, the phone became unresponsive and apparently hung, left it alone for a few hours, it remained hung.
I disconnected the power and pulled the battery.
The phone has since refused to boot past the HTC splash logo.
What I've tried:
I've tried rooting the phone with Revolutionary - however I can't complete the steps as I am unable to boot the phone.
I've tried Hboot with the [PG32IMG.zip] file - nothing seemed to change
I've tried usb fastboot with adb and fastboot - Signature verification failed [well, it is S-ON]
I've tried recovery - failed, gave me 3 arrows, 2 in a circular pattern and one straight, followed by a phone icon and a red triangle and ! mark
I've tried running the RUU.exe file for 2.3.3 optus, but it does not get past 'rebooting to bootloader'
Current situation:
I've spent around 6 hours trying to figure out what went wrong and make it work ... but nothing seems to work ... so guys ... i really could use some help ...
btw, I can't warranty it as I purchased the phone in Australia, but now am in Singapore ... I'll be returning to Australia in January though ...
All help and suggestions will be greatly appreciated ...
Thanks!

You better wait till january and claim the warranty!
hey buddy
well , the easy way to solve your problem is to download the stock rom for your device , and install it using the offical HTC exe ( the rom exe ) .
it will do it all and get your device like brand new .
hope this solve it .
If the above doesn't work send it to any htc repair center. You have to pay but whatever.

Hey hassanhm,
thanks for the reply. I've tried searching the HTC official website for the stock rom, however it is not available for download due to the fact that firmware upgrades are now over the air ..
i've downloaded the RUU rom by optus (RUU_Vivo_Gingerbread_S_Optus_AU_2.12.980.2_R_Radio _20.2803.30.085AU_3805.04.03.12_M_release_185028_s igned
http://www.filefactory.com/file/cfdd...028_signed.exe) found here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1033922 - however it just gets stuck on the booting to bootloader step ...
if there a different stock rom exe file i should be using?
Thanks!
I'm a singaporean. Its uncommon to see this kinda stuff :/
looks like dead motherboard i saw thing like that already
I'm from Singapore. I had this issue, spent a day flashing and rebooting to try and fix it. Then I have up and just flashed an official ROM, I think any one will do, then sent it to HTC. It was still s-off but they didn't care. Took just 3 days and they sent it back, fixed and like brand new. I suggest you don't waste time and just sent to HTC. it will come back s-on but you can just root it again.
Hope this helps!
Sent from my HTC Incredible S using XDA App
There's one but when they put latest Hboot (1.16.0000)then it's harder to flash ROM than 1.13.0000. Hope you get your phone back and it's working

Revolutionary only work on phone with NORMAL BOOTING (Android booting). If you did on fastboot then (I Think) you start create big trouble

what did you do before stuck. Can you boot into bootloader (?) are you S-ON or S-OFF (?) what is Hboot version do you have. To have bootloader state : press power and volume down button SIMULTANEOUSLY if within TEN MINUTES you do not have bootloader status you should stop and let us know here
Thanks for the reply. Its S-On, Hboot 1.13, I was simply browsing using the phone when it restarted and stuck with the htc logo.

I'm wondering. You probably did not enable fastboot option > setting > power > UNTHICK fastboot item.
On your today phone state you can not do it. Do you remember ? you enable fastboot option or not. Presumed you enable fastboot option then you can go to bootloader by pressing power and volume down buttons simultaneously > once you come into bootloader there is an option FACTORY RESET. If you see RED TRIANGLE. No other choice (AFAIK) you need to download the RUU of your phone and just run RUU ... all your personal user data will be wiped.

Thanks again for the reply. when i choose the factory reset the phone hangs but when i select recovery it goes to the red triangle logo. Where and how can i know whats RUU of my phone? Sorry im literally a noob.
3 days ago, i was having the same problen but i could solve it
Here what you can do:
1. Eject your sd card and insert another android phone. You can create a gold card over another android phone (Making gold card is completely independent from android version or phone model. Trust me.). You can search the forum, there are a lot of guides for making a gold card.
2. Boot into fastboot, plug your usb cable. Open a windows console, and send that command:
Fastboot getvar mainver
It will tell you your mainver.
3. Go here: http://forum.xda-developers.co m/showthread.php?t=1359555 .
In there, you can find original rom list. Choose one which has higher mainver than yours then download it. The thread also explains how to install the original rom.

Just for additional info. If you can not find another android/windows phone to get sdcard CID (you have only one phone and now in trouble). You can use any laptop with Built In card reader at PCI slot and NOT USB STORAGE if you were not have BOTH ... it's time to ask help your neighbour or your friends

what?
all the info is right there. what exactly are you trying to do? i mean, that thread has literally tons of information in it....and without you specifying what EXACTLY you are trying to do, nobody can help you.
Have you tried relocking your bootloader and then running the RUU.
Are you able to get into fastboot?
Like PG said.....we need more to go on?
Sent from my HTC PH39100 using xda premium
I read the instructions and apparently i messed up somewhere. I can get in fast boot.
When i turn my phone on i see the white HTC logo shuts off and see the HTC logo again.
Also when i go in to hboot and go to recover i get a HTC logo and a quick blink of the next screen and then it goes into a boot loop again.
Try putting in hboot....then select fastboot.
Relock the bootloader "fastboot oem lock"
Download and run RUU.

i read to not do a OEM lock unless im sure i have the correct software on my device? how can i make sure?

and WHERE does it say that?
6) (Optional) Return to stock (locked bootloader, unrooted, etc) (Many thanks to Pirateghost)
- First, you are going to need to re-lock your bootloader.
- Boot into H-Boot by powering off. Once off, power back on and hold VOL DOWN + POWER BUTTON, once in HBOOT go to "fastboot" and click the power button to select
- Download the adbfastbootrecovery zip from the bottom of the post and EXTRACT it to your desktop
- Go to your computer file explorer and find your desktop "folder", hold SHIFT and RIGHT CLICK, select open a command window here
- Run this code in the command prompt
Code:
fastboot oem lock
- Now reboot
- Now, we will flash you back to the original stock ROM you were on. There are two options for this, the second does NOT need a windows device.
FIRST OPTION (RUU)
- Pick the RUU for your specific device. For example, the one for AT&T has the word "Cingular" in it, the one for Rogers says "Rogers" in it.
- You will find the RUU's here http://www.filefactory.com/f/002b74e0f4775869/ (THANKS to user football)
- Once you download the correct RUU, make sure your phone is plugged in via USB to your computer and you have the correct drivers (or just HTC Sync) installed on your computer
- Run the executable and follow the steps to flash the stock ROM
- Once the ROM loads, you should be good to go
- If you returned to stock because of a bug or issue, and want to root again, make sure to go back and follow the steps PRECISELY to perm root, flash CWM, flash a ROM, flash a kernel, etc. Remember, flash ROM IMMEDIATELY after flashing the kernel
OR
SECOND OPTION (PH39IMG.zip flash)
- Put this file for AT&T or this file for Rogers on a microSD card as is (it should be named PH39IMG.zip)
- Power down the phone, insert microSD and boot back into bootloader (power button + vol down)
- It should automatically find the zip file and flash the stock image (this includes recovery, system, everything stock.)
- If you returned to stock because of a bug or issue, and want to root again, make sure to go back and follow the steps PRECISELY to perm root, flash CWM, flash a ROM, flash a kernel, etc. Remember, flash ROM IMMEDIATELY after flashing the kernel

[Q] Phone stuck on LG screen "Now Ready!"

Hello guys!
As you can read in the title i have a problem with my phone being stuck at the LG bootscreen with a little text in the top right hand corner saying "Now Ready!". On the PC fastboot recognizes the device (fastboot devices), but when I try to flash anything on it (boot/recovery) it says, that the bootloader is locked. The bootloader of my phone is definitely not locked, otherwise I could not have flashed CWM Touch Recovery and custom ROMs.
Before this happened (in this order)
- I had Paranoid Android 3.99 Android 4.3 for p880 installed
- I wanted to try and install MultiRom v12 for p880
- I made a complete backup of all data (so data is not my problem)
- I wiped EVERYTHING (system, boot, recovery) using "fastboot erase [partition]"
I can't even get to the S/W Upgrade screen to reset the firmware to v20B anymore. Recovery is also gone and I can't flash a new one.
Oh, and by the way: ADB doesn't recognize my phone either so I can't do "adb shell".
Help is very appreciated!

If your PC recognizes the phone, you should be able to start Kdz Firmware update tool, even without putting your device in f/w upgrade mode..connect it to your pc via sub cable, try to hard reboot it long-pressing power button, then:
1) try to reboot it while pressing down volume key;
2) if nothing happens, try to reboot normally, then start Kdz Fw update tool, and try to see if update starts..it should work, I think..

[Q] Rooting HTC one MAX

Hello all together,
i end up here because i could not find any other Resolution on the net to get a rooting working ! So perhaps someone can give me an advise on this !?
I am working now since a week on this problem to get my HTC on Max rooted but nothing seem to work, several downloads from the net and studi all of the existing Youtube videos with al lot of houres of trying and working on this.
What i have:
HTC one Max with 4.3 date 27.11.2013 and htc sense 5.5, 11GB with 32 GB SD (in the monent no Sim installed)
What i already did with success:
Aktivated Developers mode and USB Debugging (get adb Device and fastboot device to see my phone in PROMPT)
Under Powersettings Disabled "FASTBOOT"
Unblocked the Bootloader, so i see in the fastboot of the phone in the first lines the Information *TEMPERED* and in the seconfd line *UNBLOCKED* so that means that all this work is done O.K. without any Problems also to flash offcorse the right ROM image.
(this i did with the Prompt fastboot method: fastboot flash recovery ......img, then fastboot clear cache).
Copyed the SU to Root of Phone to make then after recoveryrestard the root. -Latest Verion-
So here now the Problem where i stuck since some days and Nights without any resolution:
After all done (up mentioned) i go with Vol Down and Power to fastboot and choose the second line Recovery and confirm with Powerbutton (after a while the phone suppose to enter into the recovery so that i could choose the SU-ZIP - the normal way), but now the Phone reboots into white screen and shows on top Pink line like Phone Recovery (this all still looks good), then nothing happens (where it supose to start after that my rom to enter and choose the SU-ZIP).
It just turns off after a while to black screen and reboots normaly like i turn the phone on up into the normal Phone-Desktop !
So it was not entering into the recovery and with this i could not start the SU-ZIP, so the phone is not rooted.
Thanks for any help and sugesstion (sorry for my bad english)
So do you have any idear what i perhaps have maked wrong !? or do i have to downgrade the Phone perhaps to 4.2 !?

[HELP] Stuck on HTC logo and HBOOT doesn't work

Hello,
Since few days, i've some problems.
My htc one m7 turn off himself and when i tried to start it, i'm stuck on the htc logo and then the phone turn off...
So i do power-on + volume - and i'm in the HBOOT. But when i select fastboot or others commands, nothing happend : i've still the same screen and i can't do anything (except turn-off the phone with power button).
ADB and Fasboot don't detect my phone (but sometimes i've the windows 7 sound).
It's a stock ROM (from SFR), never root / delock bootloader and it is S-ON.
Sorry for my English (i'm french).
Thanks
