I had a fairly expensive set of ear buds,
http://www.amazon.com/V-MODA-Vibe-Earbuds-Flashback-Chrome/dp/B000K5VCUC
They sounded nice for the first 2 months, then the left side got quieter. I really can't stand anything but perfect sound from my ear buds, and uneven levels of volume is unacceptable.
I was wondering if anyone could recommend a nice pair of ear buds, with a nice bass, and good treble. Anything from 20-80 dollars.
Thanks
ipod earbuds are good enough for me.
you can try Bose http://www.bose.com/controller?event=DTC_LINKS_TARGET_EVENT&DTCLinkID=7467&perfsourceid=k9677&src=k9677
I use Koss "The Plug". They have great bass and treble, but mid too weak. There is also a problem for some people to use this kind of earphones (takes some time to put them in your ears). However, this is one of cheapest Koss models (15$). I guess some better model would do just fine. If not, there is always Senheiser, Shure.... Earphones like this are mostly used by some kind of audiophiles, so you will easily find some nice reviews on any of them.
i'm looking at maybe buying a set of buds/canals for around AUD100. would this price point give a noticable improvement in sound quality over the stock buds?
i mainly play 192kpbs mp3's.
thanks.
The HD2 buds are crap, as with most prepackaged ones.
EDIT: However, the remote is useful. If you have a soldering iron you could solder the cables just over the remote to a pair of new ones that fit better (I did it with the extra iPhone cable that came with my Beats by Dr. Dre (Monster), great success!)

Cool! I would LOVE to try these too with my Beats... but I would rather get an extra Beat's cable to do it... can't bear to cut the ones I got. The Beats cable remote will still answer calls and pause music... any idea where I can order an extra?
The 'earbuds' that come with the HD2 are even worse than the Apple whites. Which should tell you everything you need to know.
They are horrible. It's like sticking a fruit pastel in your ear.

I don't know where to buy an extra in your case, but they do exist. Saw them at an Apple store where I live. I'd guess eBay is a good bet.
well i ended up buying some over-ear headphones. i mainly use them when the tv is being used by someone else and i want to listen to music/games, or for watching movies later at night.
i couldnt really hear alot wrong with the stockies though. they got a bit untrolled during mid-range heavy stuff, at loud volume, and not very strong bass, but i thought they sounded ok. horrible size and shape for my ears though.
i went with sennhieser hd25 sp2's. they seem pretty good overall and keep out backround noise at home.
Do other headphones work as antenna for the radio?
i have an issue with my HD2 that if i plug in a normal set of headphones (standard 3 pole 3.5mm jack) the phone starts randomly making calls
has anyone else had this ?
i would love new headphones as the standards are utter crap

the ones i bought do. very well. id guess, like most fm radios, any piece of conductive metal would tranmit and receive a signal.

no unless you can find another pair with a fm reciver that fits into a 3.5mm jack
so a normal set of headphones = no
The receiver is not in the headphone itself, so that should not make a difference at all.
i tested the stock earbuds today and i can't say that they are very bad in sound quality. but the music is not loud enough for me! will some other earbuds gain some level? sorry for my english...
the stock earbuds dont get loud enough for me sometimes, but they fit snugly for me and i like the design. i especially love the little remote on the wiring.
unfortunately, they dont really make the earbuds any better. i have had my hd2 for about three weeks now and my left bud is giving me sound issues. i gotta twist the jack a few times and wiggle it around to get sound back into it. its quite annoying.
do you guys know of any good earbuds with the remote on it?

I have some Etymotic HF2 haedphones and they work with the radio.... No problems with them. Sound quality is great and athough not bass heavy they are very open and natural with very clear seperation. They do work best with the foam ear tips over the silicone ones supplied and looking at getting some Comply foam tips as I want to use these on my bike and also keep out the road noise. The standard ones are OK and work very well. The sound is better for me using the foams so the better shaped Comply ones are my next purchase......
The Etymotic HF2's have been much better than any one's I have tried so far and comfortable if you are used to wearing ear plugs....

I dont understand how you guys can listen to music on your HD2 - the headphone output is extremely noisy!!!
Whether I put in stock earbuds, Westone UM2s, or Audio-Technica CK100 trips it's just crap.

There look nice, but the price is to cheap for to be good!I use Sony mdr-ex38,I recommended instead, good price and good sound!

Those are probably some of the nicest in-ears you can buy for less than $300.
Read this if the price seems a little much.
The shure i2c-m's can be had of ebay for a very good price and offer very good quality sound. The same drivers as the e2c's that have very good dynamic drivers that increase in sound quality quite considerably after they been used for a reasonable amount of time. I'd also buy a tripple flange set of plugs or some foam ones, my favourite being the orange medium size shure brand, they give me a perfect fit with complete sound isolation. The quality of the microphone on these is also surprisingly good, better than my expensive bluetooth sonys.
The only problem is a lack of hardware button at the neck of the headphones for answering so i just press the phones hardware button in my pockets during use.
The following are what I use to listen to music and talk hands free.
When speaking to someone the caller is in stereo.
Although not "in ear" very reasonably priced.

Guys i wanna know how is Quadbeat2 headphone compare to quadbeat headphone. LG HSS-F420 Quadbeat, comes with optimus g and gro, suggested to me by Joker, has about 250 different headphone review on Head-fi.
If Quadbeat 2 is better sound quality than quadbeat. I can buy quadbeat2.
Mybe if you have other known headphone such as VSonic VC02, VSonic R02, Audio-Technica ATH-CKM500, Sony MH1C, Brainwavz M5, Soundmagic PL50 etc.

You need to figure out what you want from the headphone. I think the quadbeats if i recall are more on the bassy end. Vsonic's are closer to neutral but have good bass hit and extension unless you opt for the gr07 bass edition. Audio-Technica are known for their neutral sound with little bass. The Brainwavz m5 which are an amazing bang for the buck have a warm laid back and bassy signature. Sound Magic's i believe are a neutral sounding iem.
I own most of those iems in some degree and they are all different sounding iems.

Yeah you are right. Bass is not so important for me. ,Bass is good when you need i think. Actually i listen fm radio mostly and i am professional for headphone i am begginer. I think headphones which gives balance and neutral sound is better for me but i wanna buy which is bang for the buck. I have chance to buy quadbeat2 for 10 bucks. Is it good for balance and neutral sound and gives me bass when i need?

If you can get them for 10 dollars. I would go that route. They are 20ish new. They aren't really bass heavy but they do have bass. Nothing that will be boomy, though. Since you're mainly using them for radio i don't think you need a true analytic pair like a phonak pfe122 or re0s. I think the quads will fit the bill.
I haven't heard the new ones but i wouldn't expect much difference between the two.
I just thought this was worth a mention to anyone, the Quadbeat2 (LE530) earphones that come with the phone are probably the best bundled earphones i've used, they sound almost exactly the same as the Sennheiser CX 300 IIs, which is, good for a pair of free earphones, but you can easily buy better, I wouldn't throw these out, unlike some of the bundled sony and samsung earphones but I wouldn't go out and buy them separately either.
I have found them to be horrible.
I mostly listen to trance and house music and a little bit of slow rock and alternative music.
I'd go with the JVC Xtreme Xplosives HA-FR201V if you want good in-ear with a cheap price. they come with a mic and a controller too.
The bass might be too much but you can always control this by the equalizer in the stock music player.
I have found the bass kicks in at higher volumes, also notice considerabke increase in sound quality the more I jam them in my ears.

No one should ever buy stock headphones. I have no experience with the quadbeats personally.
I do have experience with a bunch others.
Right now the Sol Republic Jax are the best sounding sub $50 headphones you can get. They rival headphones costing twice as much.
If your on a budget I just plugged my old SkullCandy Ink'd headphones in and was pretty surprised at the sound on the G2. You can find those under $20.
Better than my sennheiser cx300. And I wish they weren't, but, once all fully set up and sitting in ear right, they are really pretty good. Even better if you use viper xhifi if rooted.
Are these any better than Dr. Dre iBeats?
Everything is better than those.

I'm no expert when it comes to headphones, but I've been using the JVC Xtreme Xplosives (In-Ear). They are comfortable, very cheap (they cost me USD $18 several months ago) and the sound is awesome with the included amplifier in the One.
JVC has In-Ear, On-Ear and Over-Ear headsets within the Xtreme Xplosives line. You may want to check them out.

I didn't know you were looking for a headset with mic. I'd go to Amazon or other online retailer and look for price/reviews on them and get one.
Do you have any idea about Bose MIE2I??? Is this product compatible with HTC ONE?
I personally prefer Shure headphones over Bose when I've tried both. I've used Bose QC20 (in ear) and QC15 (over ear) - to me the active noise cancelation deadened the sound of the music making it much less vibrant.
I've also used Shure SE110, SE210, and SE425 (all in ear). They all had better sound than the Bose due to not using active noise cancelation (a properly fitting in ear seal is all the noise cancelation you really need) and all allow you to have an in line mic. The 110s were OK, but they're old now so you probably can't find them. The 210s are probably the worst headphones they've made - don't bother. The 425s are excellent and I currently use these. Be aware that they have a pretty neutral profile so if you prefer over emphasized bass like from beats headphones then you probably won't like these. The 425s are priced similarly to the Bose ones.
As a side note, the best investment you can make for in ear headphones is getting some custom fit sleeves for your ear canals. It makes a world of difference to any headphones in both noise isolation and sound quality
