[Q] Need urgent help with JM1!

Hello,
I really need to get my phone (JM1) updated.
I want the gingerbread version on my phone but I haven't found anything here in this forum which could help me.
Has anyone a easy description how I can update it? It would be really urgent. I want to talk with my family in Germany from the UK but skype unfortunately doesn't work with this version.

have u tried updating via kies? if u want custom rom there shd be instruction guide on the ROM forum

I just want Gingerbread on my phone but it isn't possible via kies. It says, there is no update available.

Hi all, ok ive decided to try and root my samsung galaxy s running 2.3.3 gingerbread build XWJVH ,can anybody reccommend a custom rom for me, ive looked at Darky and looks quite good, any feedback please, i used to have a hero and rooted that ok but im a bit confused how to to go about rooting the galaxy s as dont wana brick it, hope to get some help soon and thankyou from Brian

I would personally recommend using Darkys 10.2. Since you haven't rooted your phone you will have to download this version:

[Q] Help with stock 2.1

Guys,
I am extremely sorry i am asking the same clichéd question again...
I read about this in many places, but i did not get an easy way, and hence i am asking....
i am currently on stock 2.1 update1 as it shows...
I have my galaxy s i9000 rooted....
Now, please please please could someone tell me if it is safe to flash cm7 directly on to my rooted and stock 2.1?
If not, please could you tell me what to do?

Hmm You didnt explain your method. PLz clear a few points :
Is your mobile rooted?
Is CWM installed?
Which ROM are you using now?
Exact method what are you doing, and Which ROM you want to install?

Hello everybody I have a hard time using this device. It runs android 4.1.2 ... can u please help me with the rooting and flashing process? Also, do you have a suggestion about the room I should flash? I own a mac so it will be very good if u could use only mac compatible software...Thanks a lot
