Extract and copy ax8mt.ko to system/lib/modules
Now, add a line to hwconfig (insmod /system/lib/modules/ax8mt.ko)
without ()
and restart

Walman Player (of GingerXperia V21)

I am looking for the Musicplayer of GingerXperia (V21), because i like the Walkman design /i love my w810i) und the ui is nice. How can i find a walkman player which is like this one which works with the CM-DSPSetting.

Hello.
Its been a long time since any replies to this thread, but, I got the Walkman apk and odex file from GingerXperia v21. Its attached below.
The only prob is, I dunno how to deodex it.
If anyone does know, do attach the file here.

No, actually, it contains a Odex file.
It cannot be directly copied..
It should be deodexed.

[Q] HELP! Application not installed error

I encountered an error "Application Not Installed" on my Xperia W8 with a GingerDX ROM (this problem comes with gingerxperia too....not yet tried on other ROMS)
The apk file i tried to install is Xperia Arc Launcher. I know that on my phone, i already have a "Home.apk" on it with actually should be replaced with this xperia arc launcher while installing. I tried uninstalling my default Home.apk from the system/app/ directory and then install my apk but still the same problem occurs.
The screenshots of the problem i encounter are attached below.
Please suggest a way out from this frustrating problem as i m keen to use this launcher and want it.

I did'nt correct any permissions....can they be set using root explorer? Because I have it installed already, if not, how can I set them?
BTW, I would be pressing every thanx button for every reply!

Hi Bro,
All you have to do is to install another laucher, like Laucher pro, Switch to it, and then install your Xperia Arc Laucher. After install, remove default browser settings under Settings>Applications and press home button and choose your desired laucher and mark as default. To finalize, remove the Laucher Pro that you´ve installed.
Tip: You won´t update your running laucher, since it is in use

I have this problem too. Not all xperia can be installed on our phone. Try to find xperia launcher which design for mdpi (HVGA). Now i use xperia s launcher and it looks better.

Copy the apk to system/app then long press and go down to set permissions and tick all the 'read' and 'write' only for owner. Then restart phone.

[Q] Walkman Player on MiniCM7????

Hi, I was using gingerxperia revolution rom run on stock kernel. It was a decent rom and the music player was awesome, mainly that you could change songs by shaking your phone.
Today I upgraded to nAa kernel and minicm7 I like this rom but the music player is way inferior. what should I do

thank you, but it didn't work
unziped the gingerxperia rev rom and couldn't find the app in the system file no app called walkman was there, but the sytem has it when installed
tried to download apk files from the net one couldnt be installed and another i found here on xda for minicm9 ics and that couldnt be parsed obviously.
what to do?....

instal manually with root explorer! ! push walkman app in the system >> change permission to rw-r-r>>push to app.Done! !

Yay it worked 1st I was confused about the rw-r-r thing but then I held my finger on the file went to permissions. And it worked

[MOD][4.4.2][.314] Some useful mods

All mods were made by me for deodexed stock .314 firmware from РСТ (Russia region). I think system files are same for all regions, so it doesn't matter. So i share them with you, friends. I changed files with Aroma File Manager from recovery (manually replaced stock one with rw-r-r permissions), you can make install zip's with this files for recovery by yourself if you want (Sorry, I don't want to teach how to do it, google please). Do not forget to clean dalvik cache and cache after changes before rebooting!!
1. 30 volume steps instead of 15 in media apps (like Poweramp, Walkman, etc). File is from /system/framework

2. No annoying notifications when enabling/disable mobile data. Place it to system/vendor/overlay

3. Superusermod (no signature check mod) - helped to install many themes (before that only background was changed) and fullscreen caller (before that I got continious force closes) + led turns green not after 90% but when phone is 100% charged. Place file to system/framework/

Did you had more luck with this one ?
I can guarantee that my mod is working for stock rom deodexed, for music.

I forgot that I had odexed fw.
I just deodexed it and this mod is working perfectly...

I don't know how to deodex one app. You can try to delete .odex file with app name in file manager and test if mod works after that but of course no waranty.
I suggest to make deodex of firmware with Kamome tool for windows (thread with describing and latest version can be found here in cross development section for xperia). Simply follow instruction there and you will recieve your deodexed working firmware.
No, volume mod only makes 30 steps between min and max volume, no increases. Good luck! :good:

Oh my god. Everything is working, i tested it on my phone before posting here, so don't write nonsense. Read carefully first post - you need DEODEXED stock firmware. Have you made it? I think no. So go on and try my mod after that :silly:
On odex firmware you will have no signal, i have also faced it long time ago.

There are no fullscreen caller mods based on latest .314 system apps. I can send you in PM one well working mod for Z2 which I was using with .402 firmware, but you will have not fresh SemcPhone.apk, Phonebook.apk and SemcContactsProvider.apk. And as Sony said there are some sound improvements during calls, so I prefer to stay fresh apps and waiting when some mod developers make new fullscreen caller

you need to edit in decompiled services.jar this file: services\smali\com\android\server -----> BatteryService$Led.smali
Find in it in your text viewer 0x5a , i found it only once (so no problems with choice what to replace) and change it to 0x64 . Save and compile new services.jar. Good luck!

can you make flashable zip for your mod ? it will be easy to flash because im have problem to overwrite the framework and get bootloop. .btw awesome mod buddy
