Hi,
I have a case with "wireless_tether_2_0_7_for_X8_X10mini.apk". I install iptables/netfilter succesfully and "DroidWall" is working perfect, but when I try to start WiFi Tethering in the log file appear these errors: (see attached pics). When I reboot the phone all modules are loaded, but tether wifi is still unavailable. I have stock rooted E15i 2.1.1.C.0.0. Can you help me with some advice?
Thanks in advance

Hello! I'm a newbie around here and in the Android land in general so please have mercy if I'm saying or doing something wrong here!
I just bought an S5570 and did an OTA update to 2.3.5 with kernel 2.6.35.7-perf-CL650682.
The problem is when I've tried to install OpenVPN. I've used the apps, got superuser, busybox, tun.ko installer, openvpn-installer and openvpn-settings.
I've loaded the module tun.ko manually (and moved to /system/lib/modules ), it loads fine, but when I cd /mnt/sdcard/openvpn and do openvpn client.conf the connection is established but then the phone restarts instantly.
I don't know what could be the problem, the module (tun.ko), the openvpn binary, or what? The client.conf file is fine, it works for my laptop so I don't think there's a problem with the conf file.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!
Ok, problem solved by flashing with emanoN v4

i dont think ul b needing it... i think its already compiled in stock firmware... if u r having any trouble... try installing abyss kernel from development section... then go to market and install tun.ko app and install tun.ko from there...
P.S. dont forget to check the insmod option in advanced options of openvpn...

solved openvpn installer problem, solved routing issues
I just installed openvpn on my GNote N7105 running stock 4.1.1 but rooted
The problem I solved was that openvpn* installer couldn't find busybox, but I have a good on in /data/local/bin, so I remounted / as read-write and made a link at /system/xbin/busybox to /data/local/bin/busybox
Then the installed couldn't find the "cp" command to copy the binary over, so I made a in in /system/xbin from busybox to cp
And then the openvpn installer ran OK but didn't see my openvpn configs and keys.
Because I moved from non-samsung device I had to move my openvpn files from /storage/extSdCard to the "internal" card.
And then the openvpn installer allowed me to start up openvpn. And I saw a tun0 device. But no traffic flows over the VPN. I checked the routing tables (main, default, local) and tried adding routes but no luck
So I searched xda devs and found this thread.
Any idea please?
--EDIT--
I restarted the openvpn server on the remote linux box and everything started working. I realised there was a problem when I used tcpdump and could see ping requests going over the tunnel to the server and nothing coming back. My laptop could also bring up the tunnel and also not send/receive traffic.

Hi, so i have the XT1064, i rooted it with all the tools(?) [flashable .zip for SuperSU and .img for TWRP] from the Root Guide and root seems to be working fine with all apps requiring it but DroidWall; if i select just some apps to allow data/Wi-Fi consumption it just disconnects all apps, even the ones i select, it only allows connection if i mark the "(Any application) - Same as selecting all applications" box, both in 3G and Wi-Fi
Anyone else having this problem? Any suggestion?
Try another firewell which is based on droidwell.droidwell is discontinue.
Good Morning. I have an elephone u pro with 660 snapdragom processor. I installed a custom rom that had as "SU" the magisk. the device was giving an error in the wifi that was not active (address mac 02: 00: 00: 00). so I entered magisk in the module session and installed the only module that has on wifi. I also installed a "GNU" package that has the. did not solve the problem of wifi so I uninstalled the modules and realized that it started to present another problem much bigger. (any camera that is installed from the playstore) displays the error "camera_disconnected (2)". another problem is the youtube app that just turns the ball and does not open the content. Another problem also set is the flashlight which is disabled. I returned to install the modules in the magisk and returned everything (except the wifi). only then turned everything off and nothing else solved. the strange thing is that I made the rom the "qfil" partition partition wipe and even then the problems persist (the wifi returns to normal in the rom stock). it's as if magisk erased files that go beyond the rom. I do not know what else to do. help, please
thanks god I was able to fix this problem by installing the rom stock. I think the problem was in the partitions. of both installing and uninstalling other roms I think gave file problem in some partition. I installed the stock and then applied a rooted version of it. At least I managed to solve the problem of wifi and camera.
Hello all
When i reboot the phone in magisk to magisk wifi wont reconnect.

Losing Wifi and/or Bluetooth connection settings/password after returning to rooted after booting in standard non rooted mode.
I've had libsecure_storage installed for a while but couldn't find any benefit with the module, until now.
From Magisk Download download and install libsecure_storage and have rebooted your phone just go into Magisk Downloads, select libsecure_storage and read the description of the module (screenshots attached), the 5th paragraph is particularly relevant, yes, you definitely need to edit a file.
I used ES Explorer to locate the file secure_storage_daemon.rc and opened it as a Text file selecting a text editor, edited the last line to: stop secure_storage then saved.
Job done, no more lost wifi or bluetooth credentials after booting non-rooted.
