Let me know if it works and how you done it that would be great thanks

Working with flyhalfs touch (CWM) version, everything is fine.
After flashing the recovery u should fastboot erase cache.
If u got no rom on SD u should connect an OTG before booting into recovery and flash zip from external sd.

erasing the cache solved the problem. thanks helmut!

Mine still not having it it's saying tampered and unlocked any ideas

Flash this
Then flash it from cmd with
Code:
fastboot flash recovery CWM_Touch_6.0.2.8_M7.img
Code:
fastboot erase cache
If there are still problems, rename CWM_Touch_6.0.2.8_M7.img to "recovery.img" and use the command "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"

When you flash the recovery.img, was it successful and did you wipe the cache afterward?
Are you able to enter the bootloader then select Recovery, does it try to enter recovery then reboots?

Trys to go into recovery but just restarts i can't get into recovery at all
I get the screen saying unlocked and fast boot and so on you know the one with all the coloured text but won't do anything else

Try flashing a different recovery to the one you have installed.

I seem to be having the exact same problem. Really starting to annoy me, I need to root my phone already haha!
Did you end up getting it to work?
Cheers!

according to the TWRP thread, it doesn't seem to be supported yet
I've got the same problem with the non working recovery. I now tried the CWM Touch AND Classic Recovery v6.0.3.0.
I tried to flash them with the All in One Tool by Hasoon 2000 and also manually with CMD commands (fastboot flash recovery & afterwards fastboot erase cache). It always said flash successful, but it's not able to boot into recovery.
I've got a Swiss HTC One Branded by Swisscom (which seems to use a vodafone CID: VODAP110).
My Build Number is 1.28.161.7 CL162357 release-keys
may that cause the problem?

I somehow got it to work. I didn't make any changes (that I can remember) but I tried it the next day again, booting into recovery with the HTC One (M7) All-In-One Toolkit V1.0, and it just worked!
Hopefully you guys can get it to work somehow too!

HA! I finally got it.
Just don't try to flash recovery as recovery, flash it as a boot img. CWM touch and TWRP was NOT working for me, but normal CWM does.
But it seems to be some issues with ADB, so please wait until i got my Guide ready

you used "fastboot flash boot recovery-clockwork-6.0.3.0-m7.img" and it worked?
I don't want to mess up my phone, because I can't backup my current boot.img...

bootLoop, need help

hello, I hope you manage to help me.
yesterday I was updating the rom of my m7, I had revolution hd 6 and I was updating to 6.1.
Now the phone goes into bootloop, if you try to enter the bootloader enters correctly, but then if I try to get into recovery after loading screen appears dark of recovery for a while (less than a second) and then restart the white screen htc that says "entering into recovery" and loops as well ..
the most logical solution that I've come up with is to reinstall the original ROM or via fastboot .. but I can not find file or driving ..
ps I'm new to htc, samsung android coming from \ sony \ motorola
thanks in advance!
Did you try to install recovery once again?
Now do this commands:
fastboot erase cache
fastboot flash recovery recovery name.img
fastboot erase cache
Go to recovery and install your Rom

Hey!
Please try this:
- Download and start the All-In-One Toolkit http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2183942
- Plug in the USB cable
- On your device enter the bootloader
- Enter Fastboot
- In the toolkit choose "Erase Cache" below "Commands"
Now you should be able to enter the recovery again. There you can reinstall the ROM or restore a backup. At least this worked for me.
Regards

but.. for my info.. why this situation? into all off my previus devices it did not happen
thanks!

Since the device is S-ON, you have to flash boot.img manually via fastboot (except ROMs like TrickDroid, which has a script inside to flash boot.img from Recovery), otherwise it will stuck in bootloop.
For Recovery-Problems always fastboot erase cache is good, u should use it everytime after flashing recovery.img/boot.img.
LG, Helmut
now.. i've tryed to reinstall rom.. into install the setup stop at 30%, restart phone with sound down+power, now phone boot fine..
mmm this isn't good..
now with titanium do a backup and after go to full wipe...

[q] custom recovery issue!!!!!

so i was reading the instructions for the ARHD 10.1 rom and there was one part that was bugging me, the part that said you need the firmware package but it also says(recommended but not needed for now), but i went ahead and flashed it. it also said "There is no need to flash latest hboot!". so to be safe i backup everything. now after i flashed the rom everything was running smoothly but then i decided to go back into recovery. when i reboot into recovery, the screen said entering recovery then it went it cwm touch and then it existed then boot back to the htc start-up screen. this happens every time i flash something. but this time its different. i usually flah the twrp recovery then flash back the cwm recovery and it is fixed but it seems that since my phone is running 4.2.2 its not working..please help. i was thinking of using fastboot to flash the recovery 2.17.401.1..... please help

[Q] HTC One will not boot into TWRP or CWM

Hello. I recently got an HTC One from CSpire. I had no trouble unlocking the bootloader. When I try to go into a custom recovery so that I can root, I get the message "Entering Recovery...". However, this screen only lasts a few seconds then my phone boots up like normal, completely skipping the recovery. I've tried multiple versions of TWRP and CWM. Any ideas? I'm not that experienced with android devices. I haven't been able to root because of the recovery issue I am having. Please help!

what instructions are you using to flash the recovery ?
do you have the all in one kit ?
Reboot on fastboot with Power volume down.
Once you are in fastboot you enter the following command:
fastboot erase chache
After this you should be able to reboot in recovery without any problem
Good luck

Clearing the cache didnt work. I just tried again using TWRP 2.5.0.0. I know its not the latest, but the latest doesn't work either.
Also sometimes when I try to go into recovery, my device freezes on the "Entering Recovery..." screen.

I've tried a couple different all in ones. None of them work. And I can push the recovery to the phone no problem. Its when I actually try to go into Recovery from the boot menu that I have this issue.

Have you tried the following command in fastboot?, fastboot flash recovery (name of your recovery file).img
Make sure you have the right recovery file for your device, example: openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.0-m7.img

Yes. Multiple times. I've done everything I can find on the web so far. It's almost like the recovery isn't sticking (Not sure if thats possible.) Maybe I need to try and get S-Off?
SOLVED!! I had to use the Sprint Version of TWRP. It worked the first try!

[Q] HTC One in a boot loop

Hello.
I was in the process of upgrading my HTC One from 4.2 and successfully unlocked the bootloader. But thereafter my phone just constantly reboots. It shows the HTC splash screen for about 10 seconds and the reboots again.
I am able to go into the fastboot screen (see screen shot). But when I select Recovery, the phone gors to the next screen - displays "Entering Recovery" - and nothing else happens thereafter.
Can anyone please help? Have looked at other such questions and tried but nothing has helped.
Thanks

I'm not sure you did ever flash a custom recovery!
1. Put your phone in fastboot from the bootloader meny. You already did this while rooting, so you got it already!
2. In your "SDK-tools" folder that you used while unlocking the device, put [nameofyourrecovery].img I recommend you to install TWRP 2.6.3.3, as it is the best one for flashing kitkat and lets you do this if you wish I cannot give you a link as I am a new member, but search google for TWRP 2.6.3.3 and you will find it. Make sure it is .img and not .zip!
3. While in fastboot, open a command prompt in the ADB folder.
4. To flash your custom recovery, type
fastboot flash recovery [nameofyourrecovery].img

You have an M7CDWG, twrp is for M7_U & M7_UL models, if i'm not mistaken. Start googling for M7CDWG, it's a completely different phone than the U / UL phones.
and you need to "fastboot erase cache" after flashing recovery

Dear nkk71
Many thanks. I used your suggestion and rooted as per #9 in this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=45427332
I installed Chinese recovery followed by TWRP recovery. I was abe to Recover and reach TWRP manager 2.6.0.0.
Can you please suggest what next to instal?
If I reboot I still go into reboot loop, but can now reach TWRP manager.
Thanks

Not really, don't know much about your model. You'll need to find a ROM compatible with your device; if it doesnt specifically say it's for your device, then most likely it isn't!!
I think there's a Maximus HD ROM for your version, but i have no idea where.
Did you..
Aside from flashing a recovery and rooting your phone, did you make any other modifications or flash any other partitions?
If no, then wipe Dalvek cache from TWRP. Boot into TWRP and select Wipe. Select advanced. Select Dalvek and Cache. Wipe power down. then power on and see if it will boot.

i had a similar problem last week with a One, a friend bricked his One by flashing "???" Dont know exactly whar he has done.
The phone had boot loops all the time.
my solution was:
- connecting the phone with the usb cable to my pc.
- started the phone into fastboot usb mode
- started cmd at my notebook
- change to the directory which contains adb and fastboot
- execute: fastboot erase cache
- restarted the phone
the phone starts normally into ARHD 40.3
perhaps it works ...

Fresh root, recovery not booting

Finally decided to root my own device to find out that the recovery is not working when I try going into it on the bootloader mode. It is a rooted device and I've tried flashing the twrp recovery through the command prompt and also through the flashify app. It only works when I try booting in from the flashify app but doesn't work through the bootloader, when trying it through the bootloader i select the recovery and the phone turns off. Anyone have a clue of how I could try to make it work, I would appreciate any help. Thanks

Looks like a system error which can be solved only if you flash the factory image again
which command did yu use "fastboot flash recovery (twrp File name ).img
If it didn't work, flash cwm and then twrp 8.6.0. Maybe it'll work Or flash twrp img while ur in twrp itself. Or download advanced reboot if ur using stock rom.
