I found the problems from my phone with all roms，after I flash my phone with new rom or sometimes reboot my phone，all is ok，but use it for a while，when I record videos or my calls，I will get ：record failed

Maybe a hardware issue? Did you try diffrent camera app?

but maybe,I can use it after reboot.or flash new rom.I don't know why.

For now,I use Benz V4.1 rom.I have to reboot my phone for recording video or my call.and the storage is ok.

internal, i don't think you can change it in cm7?
Just went into settings - manage applications - camera - clear cache and data. Reboot and now it appears to be working!
No idea why though

I dont know, is my first time wirh a cm rom... but i remember ib another rom that u can change that, and my external sd was slow and make video skip like that. But im happy ur problem is solved

hey guys help me I'm really in trouble the camera in my android mobile is not working when I open the camera app it says error handler I re flashed the firmware through odin still it says that also if I flash any other custom rom it says force close camera app.you think it is a hardware problem please help me also can you tell me how to fix it if it is just a firmware problem. The camera worked for a day and stopped again now I have no idea what is happening. I will try to put the latest stock again and see if it works.

Had same problem on stock. It was due to sd card corrupt.. Try replacing the sd card

I was on custom when this thing occur..and still flashing different ones but non of them solve it..is sd card really have something to do with this camera problem?

Sometimes when i want to install app,i can't because install buttom doesn't work(i touch install but noting happen)but after some hour when i want insatllthat app,it's work.
Even when i did full wipe but happened again!

I went from GB 2.3.6 (rooted) with CWM installed to CM9.1 using the official ROM (Stable) and WIKI from the CM website!

Problem with touch screen!
Problem with answering Calls - Running CM 10 - Jelly Bean 4.1.2
I have Galaxy S GT-19000 - installed CM 10 -Jelly Bean 4.1.2.- previously running GB 2.3.6.
Generally works well but have problem when receiving calls as Lock Screen with a pattern of Concentric Circles is displayed even though Lock Screen turned off. If I press on this screen the incoming phone call is disconnected .
However if I am careful and drag screen to the right I see very small green symbol to pickup phone.
Is there anyway to remove this locking pattern so that it does not display when phone rings and accept incoming calls ?
Note when the phone sleeps the Lock Screen is not displayed which suggests that the Lock Screen is not activated.
I have looked in settings but can't find any other way to remove the locking pattern when calls are recieved.
Just added to this query as follows:- When connecting to Charger the phone used to emit an audible sound - it still charges but I can't see in settings any action to enable sound.
I would appreciate your help

I have already asked about this but is there anyway to get a working camera/camcorder or change some lib file or anything to get the a camera working, the problem is not really the camera it is that when i transfer the recorded video to a computer (any) the video plays but completely black screen from start to finish does anyone know whats wrong? please help and thanks in advanced lol
also it can take pictures and videos and playback on the phone just fine its just on any computer that it doesn't work/black screen
Sounds like you may be missing a codec on your computer. Try using VLC to play the videos on your desktop.

Thank you soo much lol i downloaded it and installed and the videos play straight away lol
I must point out that I have installed this zip file for the optimus black stock camera link - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2091599 also I deleted the camera.omap3.so file from system/libs hardware and replaced it with the same file but from a stock optimus black rom and set permissions to rw-r-r and rebooted and works even better without lag
The only thing is now is that when I record a video or record audio it sounds really high pitched and fast like chipmunks lol I don't know what that is :/ do you know how to fix that? please : thank you

You're welcome! Now just to be clear is the "Chipmunk" phenomenon is only happening when you play back the recorded video on your phone or does it happen on your computer as well?
If it's just a phone issue I suggest giving MXPlayer a shot it works great for me. If that doesn't work take a gander at the froums I've seen the "Chipmunk" phenomenon mentioned before.

Go for makay ROM, it seems to have that bug solved maybe flashing the kernel is enough already.

I think, if you take cm10 ramdisk+cm10.1 zImage, it should work, not 100% sure though...

I tried that. But the ramdisk of mackay kernel is 600+ kb. In the cm10 only 500+ . I dont know if that makes sense. But it didnt boot

Solved it, I found out it was the kernel I had installed that was causing the squeaky voice, it was zero gravity v1.0 I reinstalled cm10 as normal but without the kernel and back to normal voice lol, and for the video recording I installed the ics camera port from that link - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2091599
and then deleted the camera.omap3.so file from system/libs/hw and replaced it with the same one from stock ics rom and set permissions to rw-r-r and reboot and done stable thanks for the help anyway

hello i install a rom and every thing great but
i had 1.95 GB to install apps and now i have 1.25 GB
wen re-flash it back to stock i get every thing back

On JB roms and above the max. partition size for apps to be installed is decreased from 1.95GB (or 1.86 in most cases) to roughly 1.5GB (slightly smaller than that), probably to allow more space in /system for things such as system apps and so on.
When you flash back to GB, the data partitions will change again and so you'll have 1.95GB, but when you flash to JB, this will naturally decrease.
1.25GB does seem to be less than usual even for JB roms, so do ask around to other users and see if they have the same amount of storage. If they do, then you know its just how the rom is naturally.
