Wallpaper Problems! - Motorola Atrix HD

I downloaded a wallpaper that's 720x1280 but whenever I want to set it as my wallpaper I cant apply the whole wallpaper without having to crop most of it out?
Is there an app that will let me apply a wallpaper in its entirety
Atrix HD Maxx

If you'd search you'd see this has been answered a dozen times. I actually asked the first time 5 months ago. Get wallpaper wizardri

Is it possible to have changing wallpaper?

Lets say I have a folder with 20 abstract wallpapers in it... is there a way to have my phone use those wallpapers and cycle through them every 10 minutes or so?
I change my wallpaper too much and it would be very nice if there was an app or something that could do it for me.

Wow, right after I made this topic I found an app called wallpaper rotator. Seems to work ok, but it doesn't scale the wallpaper correctly.

NON-Xoom HoneyComb Applications and Widgets

I was thinking that we could make a thread where we could share any application or widget found in any of the other HoneyComb tablets (Acer, Asus, Samsung, LG etc.)
Here is a couple that have been tried, tested and found to be working on the Xoom.
ASUS TRANSFORMER:
MyWater Live Wallpaper
The thread and instructions can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1048959 thanks to sano614
This is by far my favorite Live Wallpaper to date on the Xoom, the water level rises or falls depending on the battery level and when charging a lot of tiny bubble float up like in a fish tank.
Weather Widget
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1048959
A widget I would describe as similar to Beautiful Widgets with a (naked) background and your cities name in huge white letters
Screenshots can be found at the link.
ACER ICONIA:
SocialJogger (Social Hub for Twitter and FaceBook)
App is only working in portrait mode. But the widget definitely works.

Thanks to ericssonka and supr2nr
That is all for now but I will update this thread as I find more or as readers contribute with their own finds.

Found this in the Transformer system dump. But I can not get it to install maybe someone with more knowledge can help. I'm guessing it is a HC optimized screenshot application.
Good idea to keep this information centralized so it can be linked and found easily
Thanks that's the idea. Title isnt really catchy though.

Regarding the screenshot apk: I tried to sign it to see if it would install but no luck.
Anyone have any ideas?

How did you try to install it? Did you place the file in the system/app directory and reset the permissions on it or did you actually try to install the apk through the package installer?
Would you mind uploading the signed copy of it so I can play around with it?

Both actually. First I used RE to put it in system/app then reset permissions and rebooted.
Then I went back in and made sure the premissin were - User: Read ,Write Guest:Read then rebooted again.
Then I copied the. Ode file over and rebooted
Then I tried using the installer
Last I dropped the. Apk into an auto-sign for Mac and tried to install again via installer

I'm trying to sign the 3 .apks I pulled from the transfomer dump and I'm using "sign+test sign" for Mac to auto-sign does anyone know if I actually have to open the apk first to break the original signature?
Also, is this the best way to do this?

Thanks Alias, I figure it is the lack of source code that's at fault?
Also I'm looking for the dump of the Acer Iconia because it has a few widgets I liked. If any one spots it let me know.

"One More Clock" found in Google Play Store is free, choose the "Chrome" theme, and it looks just like the stock widget, can be used with any launcher, although the only thing you don't get is "data usage", it just shows the battery in that particular circle, and it's free!

lol you go into settings and tell the widget what you want launched when you click on any certain area of the widget, and there are also color and transparency settings in there for every aspect of the widget.

would the coding for the widget have to be modified or just a little change telling it to work on all launchers?

I can see them sending one after it was done and published. But they cannot tell you to quit intellectually working on a project.

That's a bummer, man.
It's on all their new phones, right?
With it on so many phones, I doubt they could stop it from being ported now.

As I see it, the flip animation that moto used on the clock is still unique in the widget arena. I've never seen another widget that could update and transition like it. Maybe it's custom tied to the launcher to work that way, or maybe it's just tied to the launcher as a way to keep it only on motos 'droid' line. But it would be nice if the code were to be released so other devs could work it into their apps... Would love to see Elixir Widgets with glass panes that flip and update themselves...

ADW updated!!!!

Just what the title says. IMO its smoother then Apex and Nova. I really haven't had time to play with it but so far so good. Wish this update was available when I was stuck on HC.

But at least it was worth the waiting.
Had to fix screen size and some other settings after new update. It was a pain, don't really notice anything new while running on stock ICS

Was quite happy using adw ex launcher. There is a bug though. When u add a folder on the home screen, initially you could edit the folder to change the icon or rename the folder. It doesn't work anymore. Any idea people.

Theming/blacking out/inverting??

I would like to learn what is needed to be changed in a ROM/apps in order to get the blackedout / inverted look. I'm I'm wanting to do this on a cm10.1 based ROM and I know how to use apktool and other just not sure what to edit in the .XML files. I have made changes in colors.XML and drawable.XML but for some reason it does nothing for me.
Have searched and found plenty on theming but none really get in to the .XML part of.
I know there are themes and inverted gapps already out there but would still like to learn how its done.
Any help would be great and I know how to use the thanks button...

The above quote is good for changing the background of the settings list and the background of the setup when first install. If you want to get rid of the grey that is in the menus the more needs to be changed and its all found in framework-res.apk in the res/drawable xhpi folder in the form of .PNG or .9.PNG files and they include BG. Or background in the names menu_background.9.PNG is one for example.
Now onto next change how to change clock color in status bar. Just doing it one at a time sence the info is very hard to fine and not much help on it, will keep updating as I find the answers. Just exploring through files and change stuff to see what happens.
