Is there a safe way I could use my Ubuntu box to root my Samsug Galaxy Mini? Heimdall is not a option from what I read.
Can the Samsung Galaxy Mini 2 (GT-S6500) be able to use USB OTG tecnology after upgrade to, for example, CyanogenMod 10?
I read various posts discordant.
Is the problem software only or hardware too?

Yes,I know, but I want to know if there is a way to enable it. I think that the custom kernel that enable it is for only for Kitkat. Is this compatible with Lollipop?
you can contact who made the kernel @mausbock , just search for it, there's a kernel for F version, supports OTG.
I don,t need OTG. I only answered to Andrea, that Samsung does not provide OTG on S5 mini.
