They enable it by default now? On previous devices you needed root because you had to add a line to the build.prop, so i wouldnt call it nonsense.

actually, you don't need root or any CFW for that. I didn't even need those on my Galaxy S2 back then.

HTC phones with ICS and up You can Power button then Home button
OR
Android 4 and up you can Power and Volume Down at the same time.

Thanks guys
working now!!!

Reboot Widget or App ?

Is there one? I have tried a few from the Market and they dont work with Hero...
Any suggestions?
Yes there is an app calls Root-Booter.
But i think it only works with a rooted Hero
just use quick boot dude, root-booter does cost money
and yes, of course both require root!
edit: quick boot does not work always on hero dude..
thank you both. will try them...
Why not try this quick key press sequence?
call menu power all together..
Built in reset no need for extra widgets.

How to assign the Home button to turn on / off the screen?

Sorry if I ask a question wrong. Do not know much English. Searched the internet, found no answer. On my device LG 4X HD firmware CM10.2 does not provide a function awakening using the volume buttons. Buttons mechanical, as all devices, but if the other devices that I have used and use, this function can be on/off settings, LG is generally not provided! I don't understand what the reason. I tried and tried to change the files in the folder keylayout, and set the program to unlock shaking, with a proximity sensor, light sensor and so on, which are 2 minutes after switching off. Nothing happens, it is logical to assume that the device goes to sleep and shuts down everything. Although the programs I've set these permissions present phrase - not to give sleep to the device. How can assign a revival on the keys of the volume that rule?

Maybe someone has a solution? Put please keylayout folder on a replacement. Maybe except that folder should be something else in the system to rule. ROM CM 10.2. Save advance.

Hmm... Then try galaxy s4/ note 3 lockscreen. It has option for unlocking by home button. And search for the app on xda cuz it has been removed from Google Play.

Established. It does not unlock the screen for no button, except Power. By the way Widgetlock does not work! This problem should be solved in the system, but I do not know what to edit and where.

[Q] How to start camera app in manual mode instead in superior auto?

Hey
I looked into previous threads and didn't found a good solution to this problem.
Is ther any solution?
I have rooted c6903 with 4.4.2 and looked-bootloader.
thnks
from wat i tested out. the only way is to open the camera app through the homescreen. but provided previously it is in manual mode.
if u dont want it to switch to superior auto, than make sure u dont press the camera key button when screen is not locked.

The HW Button can be remapped and it's a common Mod on Android but it's not yet developed for Z1 as the functionality do not gain many users and request are small.
Somehow maybe it can be done, but I an not aware about that at the moment.

Pro tip: disable Open Via Home Key in SVoice

And watch how much more responsive the home button gets... :victory:

OK I thought you had custom Rom installed.
Try long pressing blank spot on home screen see if there's any settings in there.

Nothing there. :/ I was considering reflashing the stock ROM anyway. I guess now is a good time.
Never mind I don't want to do that. Haha. I'll keep looking for a solution.
Wanam Xposed was unable to fix the issue also.
I'm not sure which I'm more frustrated with; The fact that I accidentally removed the key assignment or that the ability to do so is even allowed in the stock rom without a way to change it back.

Do you happen to have greenify installed? That was the only time i have had that option come up as a default. Furthermore, when i monitor the default applications list, setting the action to nothing makes greenify come up. If this is the case then go ahead and click the clear button next to greenify in the default applications listing, should work, next time you longpress you should be able to set it to google now, you can also go in the menu of greenify and press "Reset pull-up gesture".

I did indeed. Greenify was the culprit. Still had to relfash the stock rom to get the action back though. Oh well.

Unfortunately I had already flashed the rom when you replied, but I will remember what you said so it doesn't happen again. Lol. Thanks.
