I purchased this game for $3, but make sure you have wifi connection prior to play game first time (it has to download 700MB of data).
Is it really worth it?

On a whim, I purchased the game. Pretty solid game with some moderate camera quirks. Soundtrack is nice and I experienced no lag. For $3, I say it's a deal.
I want to get it but idk
One thing I really liked about Windows Phone 7 games, it requires a free demo version in order to be an "Xbox Live" title. Android should have the same requirements if it wants to compete with WP7's gaming prowess, which imo, is the best mobile gaming you can get.
Does any1 know how good the game performs on a HTC desire ?

seems like a good quality game to keep in the phone... but wasting 700 MB on this, and not having an External microSD is a big decision to make

Finally an unreal engine 3 game on android ...downloading now
I have been playing it for a while and I have to say it is one of the best games on android.
very good game and well worth $3. Playing on NS and the only problem I have is some of the screens seem to not fit properly. Almost like the resolution of the screen isn't high enough to support all the menus in their native size.
Dual core processors are going to be more for efficiency than power. Better battery management and faster processing will in theory reduce battery consumption. None the less, you can count on me buying one
Hi im thinking of buying a nice phone for playing games is xperia t right thing. How are games like modern combat 4 , nfs most wanted, spiderman, dark knight rises running on this device . Plz give a quick response
Out of the box, it works OK until it gets hot. There have been numerous threads about thermal throttling kicking in after a while and killing performance - do a search rather than creating an 'urgent' new thread next time.
Having said that, if you are prepared to root then this thread may keep your performance up:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1937329
This phone gets HOT when playing games? i thought its 28nm cpu will stay cool. Should i buy xperia T or should i buy htc one XL for gaming
by the way i researched alot and could not find a similar threat.
Most new phones have some sort of heat issue and thermal throttling. I would recommend trying the games on the handsets to see exactly what you feel about it.
Sent from my Xperia T using Tapatalk 2
I am running now at 192 - 1458MHz, both cores always on, when the heat is going over about 65°C, CPU is throttled to 1188MHz (and less), still with both cores on. When I am gaming a little longer, CPU temperature is going up to 75°C and battery temperature does not exceed 50°C while connected to wall charger.
All games I know are running smoothly this way.
These temperatures should be fine. If anything goes wrong with these temperatures, then it's a bad device.
Thing that is low on T, is RAM. I would recommend something with 2GB. I believe there will be games with 2GB requirement soon. And T has only 640MB available RAM for applications. And system is using about 300 - 400MB. The rest of RAM is low even for browser and low for future gaming, at least now in ICS.
And internal memory chip has not very good performance. For example SenseMe Slideshow (plastic frames) never makes smooth slideshow. Opening phone or SMS app takes almost 2 seconds. Opening NFS Most Wanted takes about 15 seconds (and this procedure kills all opened apps, very nice. Etc.
I am not telling it's a bad device, I like it (except wifi, that one drives me mad. But I recommend something else for heavy gaming.

Out of curiosity, ¿what rom/kernel combo are you using?. I'm interested in undervolting and underclocking my device.
I used Siyah kernel while I was on Timin8r's stock rom, but now I'm running AOKP and I don't know any current kernel compatible with that.
Siah kernel, but works on stock kernel too (except 192MHz). Values are changed manually.
i have already ordered the Xperia T But hope that it will not dissapoint me Devices with 2GB are out of my reach and in my country i found xperia T the fastest in my current budget

Gameloft have started adding graphics setting to their games which is a good move, so I imagine MC5 will have them. Dunno about dead trigger 2 but they normally optimize their games well. I have a lot of games, they all work fine after reducing the thermal throttling. Only problems you might face is games being unavailable such as a few flu titles, but device spoofing takes care of that. My phone sometimes shuts down from online gaming because the battery can't take the stress, but as long as the throttle allows 12420000 or lower it rarely happens unless battery is low. Plus a friend is trying to make a fix for it, by putting out a voltage based on averages, rather than having a voltage that is too high then it dropping too low under pressure . Also its the same chip as USA version of GS3

Dead Trigger 1 plays smooth on my Cortex A5 800Mhz and Adreno 200. :\ Few lags here and there but nothing noticeable... I think this will handle Dead Trigger 2... Subway Surfers lags like hell though.

Hi guys
Did you tried Real racing 3?
the game obviously lags on the 4x . unfortunetly, no developer cares about the 4X, and i think we are gonna have big trouble with future games too. Its the same with the other games; only one core always active, from 700 (??) to 1500Mhz... a shame. One X does lag like the 4X as i've seen at youtube

theres a solution. It works perfectly fine for me now. If you have a rooted phone, tweak with the cpu speed and governors. The game works perfectly fine after that. However, the phone heats up and battery drains quickly.

Doing this and changing the governor to performance makes the game much smoother.
Try LG Gearbox. Set "Active Cores" to 1.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1854008
It will run without any lags but with low graphic details (which can not be noticed really)
Be aware that, setting active cores other than 4 with LG Gearbox, sometimes makes your phone freeze or restart.

this method worked fine for me. Originaly, the game setups our device on high or mid. I changed to low and now its not lagging and the graphics are still cool.
I didn't change any detail settings.I used No frill cpu to set the cpu to performance and the game runs fine.
I also tried "No frills cpu" with the "performance" option and saw that the game can be played without any problems.

To be honest, I'm sick of this crap. Most Wanted lags, games designed for Tegra 3 lags (Oh yeah, I have Tegra 3 inside, as you might know), Vice City is not even accessible for normal users of 4X HD and now Real Racing 3 lags also. I will throw this piece of crap away and will buy next Samsung or Google flagship this year. I'm also upset with nVidia. I'm happy my laptop is running by AMD stuff. How you can work with bunch of noobs (question for nVidia) in mobile devices area?
And, of course, brilliant 2012 summer flagship without Jelly Bean. Why HTC One X have this? Same ****ing summer flagship. Jesus Christ.

1x1.5GHz or 4x1.4GHz
you have to be aware that the tegra 3 will give the 1.5GHz only for 1 core, the max CPU speed for 4 cores is 1.4GHz.
so if a game is optimized for 4 cores, it will run much faster on 1.4GHz.
you should keep that in mind when you lock the CPU speed at 1,5GHz
lg have always this problem great hardware fail performance
I am very disappointed with this device. Since I bought this phone always had problems.
Starting from overheating when I'm playing something.
Then the side of the device begins to peel.
Then mold spots appear on the screen.
Then this whole bootloader, rom buggy, etc.
If this device was really good, I do not feel the need to change rom and make the machine go through so many updates. The handset comes with manufacturing a critical bug in the camera. Among other problems. Now I finally got my braces bad time. If I can not fix it I have to leave for Samsung.
I'm no novice user. I've had three devices of Lg.
Lg Optimus One Phone = Bug Phone.
Lg Optimus 2x = Bug Phone.
And now the Lg Optimus 4x = Hd Bug Phone.
I am seriously evaluating getting a Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Visit the forum of this device in Xda. Hardly find complaints about it.
Lg P880 I bought this because it is cheaper, but now I find that cheap actually ends up costing too high.

Yep same here the "quad core+1" tegra 3 "blazing fast" cpu is one real bad cpu to start with, it sucks for real tasks and overheats for that matter. the screen isn't like the other hd ips screens it has a yellow temperature tint unlike the others the blues look desaturated the most out of all the colors and it feels cheaply made.

please define your "overheating"
overheating is when your device powers off, due to 90°C processor temperature...
the tegra 3 default throttle temp is 85°C, LG's is 71°C... i changed the value in my custom kernel to 80°C, so we can get a better performance also with high temps...
and have you ever been thinking what's working in your device? you've got 4 CPU cores and 1 GPU core... now think of a normal PC, what does a normal PC have, what a phone doesn't? right, a fan. or cooling in general. so the higher temps are completely normal...

If you have any problems like bubbles under the screen or excessive-myfingersareburning-overheating you should probably use your warranty and get this device checked by authorized personel. Personally, I had none of these problems you mentioned. Phone is rooted, bootloader is unlocked, CyanogenMod is happily running "under the hood". Stock ROM was pretty good for me, but CM is CM. You can't say 'no' to CM. If you don't like this phone, then sell it. Note 2 is indeed a powerful device, I'm sure that you'll be happy with it. But! This phone has yet to show its true power through custom ROMs and kernels. My old 2010 flagship - HTC Desire - got ROM with JB and Touchwiz5 powered by awesome custom kernel, so I really have no doubts that our O4X, which is 10 times stronger than Desire, will get some sick modifications sooner or later (starting with EternityProject kernel and CM 10.1). Cheers! :highfive:

I can't speak much of comparing the 4X to other phones as my last phone was some crappy chinese knock-off of a htc sensation. But my 4X is built very well (id like to see what you guys mention as 'bubbles' under your screen, was it like that since you brought it?) the phone does get ridiculously hot (you might have seen my thread about my screen suffering major distortion for a few hours, due to overheating while on ac charge ), but again well within tegra 3 specs (this this is stock clocked at 1.5ghz which is 200mhz higher than my tf300t tablet which has much more room to dissipate heat)
Im in love with the design of the phone, only issue i have is i feel the back button is on the wrong side but i use LMT launcher anyway(if you don't know what it is i suggest you look it up). The stock firmware was fine(no issues) other than feeling bloated, stock jellybean was slightly smoother and a bit lighter, CM10.1 is absolutely amazing and in my opinion increases the value of the phone drastically.
Just my take on it.....

Or it requires some rooting, flashing etc.

Well, let me put it like that. Our phone has about 60-65% of the GPU power the latest phones (The one with Adreno 330), our GPU has to render exactly half the pixels cause we have 720p display compare to 1080p. And that's indeed the case. In benchmarks Xperia SP has the same fps (frames per second) as HTC One M8, Xperia Z2, etc. ±10%
So, yes.
I myself am playing Asphalt 8, Dungeon Hunter 4, Dead Trigger 2 on highest setting with smooth gameplay and zero lag.
When it comes to "Stock vs custom ROM/kernel" performance, I'd say that there is significant no difference. Custom kernels give you a little bit CPU boost, but that doesn't really affects games, while custom ROMs's performance isn't as good as the stock one, since Sony didn't provide us with the source and we have to use hacks, in order to be able to run 4.4+.

Just because you don't know how to operate with your phone, that doesn't mean that the phone/ROM is bad. Even with stock ROM I had 250~300MB of free RAM with SwiftKey, NovaLauncher, WidgetLocker, Viber, WhatsApp, few xposed modules, etc.
As I said, the problem is/was on your end...

Can you make few SS for me after 24h[ofcourse no reboots]?. If you have more than 10-15 apps installed like me you won't get that amount of ram left after 24h~. No way.
as if certain user experiences would be a lie.
So does it worth the buy or any recommendations?

With stock rom you won't be able to play high end games without reboots for free ram. If you have time for flashing custom roms everything fine! But if you want to stay with stock I suggest you to buy LG L90 for example.
I wouldnt buy this phone in your place (I wish I hadn't bought it for myself too)

In it's price range it's the best phone specs wise.
Moto G is a worth buy as well, but it has Adreno 305 which is about twice as slow as our Adreno 320. If you like gaming Xperia SP is the best buy, however it reached it's EOL so you must rely on custom ROMs for further software updates. While Moto G will receive Android L for sure, and I'm pretty sure Motorola will keep maintaining it at less till the end of 2015 since the new Moto G 2014 is pretty similar to the Moto G 2013. But still Moto G's LTE model with SD Card cost more, so you must put this in consideration as well. Going with either phone, you will be pretty pleased. But if I had to buy a new phone now and I had ~150€ to spend I will definitely go with Xperia SP.
P.S.: I have both phones.
Thanks , for your information.
I'm sure to consider the Xperia SP.
Do you mind , if i ask you about the camera of this phone?

Rear camera is quite decent. Here are few threads with shots from it.

this is phone is supposedly great but, as other user mention, the RAM is lacking so it makes it lagging. Sure some games run fine. but try playing real racing 3 with no modifications. it'll burn your battery (doesn't literally burn it, i just mean really hot) and it often lags.
camera wise, it depends on preference. for me this camera sometimes get awesome results outdoor, but it has same problem with many xperia phone. lots of noise if u zoom.
if u have time, read my 1 year review http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2778795
The SP's gaming performance is pretty decent - and great for the price. If you're looking to get some idea of what 2D and 3D GPU performance is when choosing a new phone, searching for Antutu benchmarks isn't a bad place to start.
As for the camera, passable outdoors (but noisy), worthless indoors. Mine has even started taking out of focus pictures, even after half pressing camera button to focus first. Might be something to do with the len's protective film being removed (due to scratches)
The issue i have now is that it easily heats up when playing 3d games. Think before buying if you're a gamer.

Well I found out all devices I've ever used, my friends, my father's are all prone to heat up when playing high end games. This should not be the problem. As far as my inspection on my XSP, it won't get over the 41 degree Celsius barrier. However, I don't know about others though.
Now for some small hardware lecture. Ahem.
3D Games require more power
More power means the processor will step up its clock rate
Higher clock rate means higher power
Processors emits heat upon high power usage
Thus the heat you get.
Ambient temperature can make it worse too, so don't ever do gaming in a hot environment

Mine too doesnt go pass the 40 degrees mark however other Sony models specially the newer ones feel less hotter than SP so something about this phone is not right.

Well what you feel is different from what it really is. I believe checking the CPU temp on the newer Sony devices (x degree), and compare with our devices (40-41 degree) will finally unfold the mystery behind XSP heating, perhaps?
And difference between dual core and quad core do play an important role, you know

That makes it seem ironic, does 4 cores draw more power compared with our dual core? I believe so, since newer Sony models have more or less 2.0 ghz clock speed. I still can't believe those devices felt less hotter given the power that they carry. Anyways, this is just my observation that I hope will benefit the soon to be owners of this device.
