Why is the thumbnail data saved by the stock gallery so much? The files take up about 1.4GB on my internal sd card which I need for other stuff...is there any solution to reduce this usage ???
Thanks if you could help me.

Its normal I think.... Probably because you have lots of Pictures and Videos..... For me, the cache files takes upto 700 MBs max btw.. its useless to clean this cache as the Gallery app will re-build it again the next time when you open the app...
Unfortunately the only way to reduce the size of the cache is by either deleting some of your Pictures/Videos or try different Gallery app..

since upgrading my sg2 to RR 3.0.1 the storage location option in camera has disappeared, i think it has something to do with the EMMC folder being changed to extSdCard.
anyone know how to fix?

Hello
I have a i9000 with 8gb internal (Internal: 1.48gb usb: 5.63 gb and external sd: 7.39gb), now that most of the internal memory is filled with big games. move 2 sd option doesn't move the data to External SD Card.
1. How do i move the app and their data to External SD card?
2. set default location for apps (external sd card)
3. Set location of storage of camera images and videos to use external sd

gl to sd is not a user freindly app, is there any other way to do that? now that i have installed 4.2.2 version of os, gl to sd has been reported to have bugs on 4.2
4.2.2 already has that option

I believe that 4.2.2. already has this option to move most of the apps to sd card by default. Use App2sd to see all the movable apps at once. So that you can get the idea of movable apps in one picture. Or use Advanced sd card app.
You may be knowing it, but your question has confused. Apologies if you already know about it. Just wanted to help.
Cheers! ! !

Hello,
My internal storage on my phone is a bit messed up...
It has 8GB of internal storage. When I look at the Storage screen in settings, though, it says:
Apps: 1.16GB
Pictures, videos: 32.27MB
Audio: 292KB
Downloads: 148KB
Misc: 39.80MB
Available: 850MB
That... only adds up to about 2GB!? What's going on?
Thanks!

Apparently the RAZR I has 5GB usable, but the storage screen is saying that in total I only have access to about 2GB (that's from adding free and used), so it won't be that!

Right... is there anything I can do about that?
Nope... If you want to understand android partitions better, check this out:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2367406
Read the part about internal memory. Btw its about the nexus but concept is the same.
