Phone: Xperia x8
android version: Latest upgrade from official sony ericsson site.

If you can't get to the flash mode you can't repair phone yourself.

Your phone is probably hard bricked.
Hopefully you are under warranty:fingers-crossed:.(?!) So the best thing you can do is to go to the repair shop and ask them to fix it...

Thanks for all your response

xperia x8 hard brick

I got hard brick my xperia x8. how can I fix it ?
As far as I know,...you can't
@ others: or is it fixable?!!!
Is it important how did i send this?
I bricked my x8 a month ago and I took it the SE and they repaired..........Take it to a SE....
If you have you're x8 in warranty period take it to s.e and tell them you were trying to update through pcc and something went wrong..
If you're done with the warranty period then they will charge you for it..
Sent by the walking walkman..
As i said : you can't but SE can
Is it important how did i send this?

This is for the last option! if didn't work to repair it using PC companion or SEUS
1. download X8 E15i 2.1.1.C.0.0._un.ftf from file crop and you willl get your phone on 2.1
2. its better if you backup your data when in 2.1 you so can restore it OR backup from xrecovery
3. make sure if your baseband is 015
4. root your phone by clicking padlock icon in the Flashtool!
5. install xrecovery with flashtool by clicking the cross icon
6. unlock bootloader using s1tool and phone type is not 11w29+ () !!!
7. flash the latest kernel
8. backup
9. factory reset, wipe data, etc
10. Flash ROM
DOne!
i think you can not repair the hardbrick by yourself unless you are a expert phone repair specialist, and you hace a medusa/riff box your best bet is to take it to a sony shop if you have warranty or take it to a repair shop and cash out some bucks... if the repairshop can do it tell them to unlock your bootloader in the proces...
Yup. No going back from hard brick. Unless you're good at electronics or get your phone repaired at a sony service center.

Ok,a lot of u dont know diference betwen HARD and SOFT brick.SOFT brick is related to software and it could be fixed by SEUS or PCC (stuck on sony logo).
HARD brick is hardware releted issue and it happens when u mess up with bootloader(dead phone,no led light,no vibration, usable only as paper holder).HARD brick cant be fixed by SEUS or PCC!!!

Good notice Joku1981 also if the flashing went wrong you might hard bricked your device!(and thats very very bad) But if you can enter flashmode or fastboot mode you should be fine just repair the kernel.

Hard bricked device is a device with fried circuit board (all the guts of the device are useless) the device wont respond and the only way to repair is if you send it using your warranty to sony and they will change the board.
If you are out of warranty it will cost you a bunch and it would not worth it (in my opinion)

First of all, did you try to modify it? Did you try do unlock the bootloader? Did you try to root it?
If it is just a softbrick you can easily repair it (don't worry, it's really simple). Open Sony PC Companion, Power off the phone, on Pc Companion go to "update phone/tablet" (sorry, don't have it installed in english, so it may differ). There should be an option to repair the phone. Just follow the steps it shows you

Which custom rom did you try? If you tried Cyanogenmod, or any other which requires an unlocked bootloader, and you didn't unlock your bootloader you'll have a problem

Help, Flashed wrong firmware into Sony X8

Hello there,
I think I've screwed up a Sony X8, I didn't noticed that I had the X10 firmware selected in the Flashtool, and just flashed the X10 firmware into my X8.
Resulting in what seems to be a hard brick.
Is there any way to recover it? It has no warranty...
Could SE or a repair shop restore it back to normal? Do you guys have any idea what would be the approximate cost of this type of repair?
Thank you in advance!
Try flash X8 stock firmware maybe help, this to your problem.

If he flashed what i think he did, then it's a hard brick. Still, nothing wrong with trying reflashing stock rom.

I would try reflashing stock rom, but the Sony X8 doesn't turn on, doesn't show any LEDs anything
So it's dead and you can't repair it at home.
