I installed MX Video Player 1.6e and was going to upgrade it to the latest version of the software. So I uninstall MX Video Player and when I tried to install the latest version of MX Video Player, it say "Out of Space".
I did some reading up and there is a few post about deleting the odex file under Android/App/Data. However, there isn't any odex file in that folder. I even tried deleting the who Data folder and it does not solve the issue. Anyone has any idea where I can go to clean up the install file for MX Video Player?
Just where is the Android/App/Data folder ? I can't seem to find it.
Try deleting the app via Titanium Backup and also check if you are really out of storage space ?
The full path is mnt/sdcard/android/app/data.
The app has already been deleted so it is not showing up in Titanium Backup. I have double check the storage space and I got a good 1.1gb of space left.
So not really sure what to do from this point. I know that I can install the latest version of MX Video Player if I do a full wipe but I rather avoid doing this if I can.

Don't do it! Stick to 1.6e as later versions have the DTS codec removed which sucks donkey balls.

There is a solution
Install lucky patcher open it and press the menu key click on troubleshooting > remove fixes and patches
All done now install your app

You can also just remove the .odex file for the app you patched. It will be in /data/app/nameofapk.odex

Try the app "SD Maid"
It cleans up the system and leftover files. Kind of CCleaner for Android.

SD maid doesn't help. Cleaned up my entire phone and still couldn't install Poweramp and titanium backup.
Wiped my data and performed a clean install of PA last night, and managed to install and update TB but Poweramp still doesn't install.
OP has the same problem as me, just different apps

Well, I'm kind of offtopic but actually I solved this problem just by uninstalling the codec app.

Hey guys i just flashed rocker rom v7 on my note and i am impressed with its performance but there is one big problem i cant open 'adf . ly' or google ads on my note..
Whenever i tried to get access in these sites it always shows web page note available and pages with Google ads it also shows the same thing in a small area
Its working fine on stock and cm9 so help me anyway to acess these sites
I used these browsers but nothing worked
Google default browser, google chrome, dolphin browser hd
Help me plsss

Turn off any ad-blocking app if you are using one..
You can go into your root explorer and edit the 'hosts' file located at '/system/etc' folder and remove the adf . Ly entries in that file..also as suggested you can remove the adblocker app that you might have installed..but i would go with editing the hosts file cuz other annoying ads from apps r removed with that! hope this does it!!

Odd...i read the changelog of rocketrom v7 n it says edited some system files for better performance...can u ask the dev what files under 'system' were edited which is causing this issue...n also try using a diff browser

Thanks for sharing but this page is only for development purpose.the app you shared could easily be found in themes and app section of ace.and as all apps of this and that ace are common we can use them.so from future onwards avoid posting common apps in development section.

I found that it doesnt work on the stock browser but it does in Dolphin mini. I havent tried any others yet.
This wont work anymore, adobe is blocking new flashplayer installations.

There is newest (latest) apk with libraries which support armv6 (newer uses armv7 so... we can't use it).

istagram released an update today were you have a new feature called photo map.
But when I want to use it a message pops up which says that the google maps android api is needed.
Where can I get that api?
I use joyos which is based on cm7.
I already tried to fix gps but it hasnt helped.

You're welcome, I discovered this when I was helping one of my rom users with an app that constantly fc'ed i used ddms and saw that it was looking for the file, which was not integrated

Hi, any help for me? I have the maps jar in the right folder, and the maps xml in the other folder, but I still cant install some apps, and certain apps are limited functionality- instagram is still telling me it depends on the maps api

Just fyi, I am pretty sure it was a problem with the gapps I installed, after reflashing all was resolved

i use RemICS-JB[v6] and latest mackay kernel! u tried another rom but same problem tried to clear cache and data but nothing!
is it a system app? if so use "root explore" goto system/app then click on the YouTube.apk and select "reinstall" see if that fixes it.
So is the youtube app just force closing or is the video saying error?
Also have you tried fixing permissions and clear cache at the same time? I would also suggest trying out the root explorer method but only if its a system app.

i tried everything but no luck! i cleared cach fixed permision but the same problem is there!
If nothing else works try deleting Youtube.apk from /system or /data and try reinstalling from Play Store
Make a backup though just in case

i did it and now when i download the youtube from playstore i got the error "unsupported video format"

When you try download the app it gives "Unsupported video format?" O_O
It could be a problem with your gapps... I never had problems using gapps on RemICS-JB. Did you use the gapps made by monish?
