I was messing around with different ROMs because the customised JB ROM provided by Omar-Avelar wasn't working quite right (I flashed it over O2.de instead of whatever EU thing it was meant to be flashed over) and now my device is bricked.
I get a message saying "Service required. Code corrupt."
I've tried using RSD lite (device doesn't show up) and xFSTK (similar results), but I'm not having any luck. Since the bootloader was unlocked, my warranty is void and I'd like to be able to fix this without having to send it in for repair. Anyone have any suggestions?
Update: Using stuff from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2184877 and using a factory cable that I made, I managed to get it into a state where it shows up in RSD lite. Still, nothing is displayed on the phone's screen. How do I use RSD lite?
I got it to show up in RSD lite but it still didn't help. Download only the very LATEST RSD lite and it should show up. But fastboot/boot is corrupted in my case so it still won't allow you to fix it. Try if you like.
Yep, that's the problem I'm having too. Once I found something I could actually flash with RSD lite, it said it wouldn't enter fastboot mode. What use is RSD lite, then? The only tool that seems to do anything now is xFSTK, but I think I don't have the right type of image for use with it. I'll probably just take the phone in to a service centre.

Yes, I couldn't agree more, for now, I think RSD is not so great in bad situations. This is my first Moto, all my other phones had like 10 methods for unbricking, soft and totally dead bricks, everything. Here, if you don't have fastboot working, it seems you're fked.

Hi guys, I am having an issue i cant seem to resolve on my razr i. apologies if this has already been covered in another thread (or 10, which is usually the way with these things because nobody reads the other threads) I have been through a load of other threads but cannot seem to resolve my issue so i started my own.
Right, I have switched from iphone to razr and am not stupid when it comes to jailbreaking etc so thought rooting the razr wouldnt be a problem. when trying to root it it failed and i am stuck at the fastboot menu, however, everything on the menu is disabled so i cant use it. i get the usual message:
fastboot reason: flash failure
fastboot max download size: 100mb
usb connected
if i try to use anything on the menu i get the following message:
fastboot menu disabled.
my phone is not unlocked and not rooted. i have barely done anything to it other than install a couple of free apps. i am unable to progress past this screen. the phone is GB and is on 4.0.4
any help you guys can give would be greatly appreciated. again, apologies if this has already been covered, none of the solutions i found were able to resolve my issue. as i said, i had no problems jailbreaking my old iphone, i am a bit of a n00b when it comes to droids...

Are you able to run fastboot commands ? Cause in that case you might be able To unlock bootloader and reflash the software .

I am not able to do anything. if i scroll to any of the options on the menu as soon as i hit the volume up key it just returns a message advising the fastboot menu is disabled.

ah commands not menu options. not sure how i go about doing that. i am 100% new to droid...

Had the same problem, I used the recommendation in this thread, 5th post and it worked, but afterwards need to re-download apps from PlayStore:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=36612151
Follow the instructions exactly - you need the drivers and RSD lite on Windows PC, then connect the phone via usb cable that came with it; and you'll need a full unzip program (cost) so you can move the unzipped files into RSD lite. Get the right flash file though - there's a list in the linked post if you don't want GB retail which I used. Important: this only works for ICS 4.0.4 and don't try to downgrade to an earlier version than what's currently on your phone e.g. v.39 to v.31, for example.
Good luck.
AW: [Q] razr i problems - fastboot menu
If the solution from mervluk does not work (It didn't work for me either) , you should try if you are able to use the fast boot commands .
To do that simply connect your phone to the PC. Then download fast boot , if you do not already have that. It is in the .zip from the RAZR I root thread.
The go to the downloaded folder. There hold shift and perform a right mouse click. Then choose" start a command prompt here "or something similar (don't know how the option is called in English).
Then type in
fastboot reboot
When the phone reboots you might be able to unlock your phone and flash the software.
BUT BE AWARE! YOU WILL LOSE YOUR WARRANTY!!
So you better try the other solution first. This should be your last option.
If you don't know how to unlock the bootloader look in the RAZR I forum or pn me .

Glad about that. This phone can be a bit of a so-and-so. ics is being updated ota to Jelly Bean 4.1.2, which I've avoided so far to keep fm (although not activated on the supplied software). I did succeed with unlocking the bootloader (loose warranty - important) following the whole complicated procedure on Moto's website - but couldn't myself use the shortcuts on here. (Then had to set up again and re-download everything from the PlayStore). It required the Moto-supplied key. I then rooted, though I think the JB ota download unroots again? You can't use RSD lite with JB.
With JB the procedures are different, and a modified JB European (not for use with GB) firmware is now available on another thread which is impressing some posters. But I think just be a bit cautious as there does not appear to be any fix for the "service code corrupt" bootloader error yet. Looks like the options are very restricted whilst no-one understand the interaction between Google Android and the intel atom chipset.
I have a network unlock key from one of the commercial suppliers (cellunlocker.net), but haven't needed to try and use it yet!
Ive had this problem for ages and tried everything i can think of. hopefully by now someone has experienced the same problem and solved it.
*My phone is stuck on honor boot logo
*i can access e-recovery
*i can access stock recovery
*i can access fastboot and device is recognised on my laptop
* i can wipe cache and factory reset successully and have done many times
*i can and have used the dload (3 button method) to flash stock rom successfully
Now the problem is that although i have flashed the earliest stock rom NEM-L51C432B102 it fails saying incorrect package!!!i think this is because my phone came with B103 or B104 and you can only flash from what your phone originally had and up.
I have flashed NEM-L51C432b120 and also NEM-L51C432b130 and although it says successful it reboots and remains stuck on honor boot logo!
I have entered fastboot and i can issue commands but they all fail saying REMOTE COMMAND NOT ALLOWED.
I can't use ADB because it doesn't recognise my device. Obviously ADB and FASTBOOT wont work because i can't access developper options and select enable USB debugging or OEM Unlock because the phone is stuck on honor boot logo.
Also my bootloader must be locked. I have the unlock code but i can't issue the command FASTBOOT OEM UNLOCK XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX because as mentioned before it says FAILED REMOTE COMMAND NOT ALLOWED.
I have even tried flashing rollback packages(there isnt one for NEM-L51)for other models, followed by flashing stock rom for my model device.
When i bought the phone it came with either the B103 or B104 package but after months of searching i can't find on the internet.
Is my phone a lost cause??? is it hard bricked? So i am praying that there is a guru out there who can solve this very strange problem.
Many thanks in advance.

Flash these files and it should, most probably, be fine.
use dload method as given here- https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73954487&postcount=240
as there are many different opinions on this method of using only update.app file but thats not true and it should be all the files.
Main file - http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G1165/g104/v71812/f1/full/update.zip
Data file- http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/...1812/f1/full/hw/eu/update_data_full_hw_eu.zip
Flash both the files in order. 1st file will restore your system but then you need to have 2nd file so that apps are installed and all working fine.
After 1st file, it may reboot on its own and stuck on honor logo, reboot to recovery and then do factory reset, it will be fine.
Then let it boot to set up. Dont set your phone. Shutdown and flash the 2nd file.
boot and set up.
Good luck. Please provide feedback once done. In case of further issue, let me know and will dig more into this.

Unfortunately my warranty has expired. The annoying thing is that if i had sent my device off six months ago when this first happened it would still be under warranty but in the UK there is only 1 service center, yes 1, and its hundreds of miles away! So i figured i could solve it myself. You live and learn.
Hey there everyone. I still havent managed to solve the issue with my device and its not through lack of trying. I have re downloaded all of the stock firmwares that you can possibly find on the internet. I also found one ive necer seen before. Its a full service repair b355. Fingers crossed, a miracle might happen and it will just boot up like when i first bought it. to begin with tho, i'm going to start with b102 and work through them b120, b130 ,b130rollback ,b350(beta), b350, b355 and then the b355 full service repair! I also got a couple of rollback packages(around 80mb) if all else fails.
I know, i'm nuts!! Finally before i admit defeat i'm going to part with £15 to buy credits for the dc-unlocker and dcPhoenx programs. From what ive read it has a good chance of solving it. I've taken soooo long before considering this option because i think its wrong that someone(s) is making loads of money from this. Why havent huawei/honor included a similar program in hi-suite. Anyway ive gone off on a tangent.
One last question though. Strangely enough i only just thought of it recently....
Is it a necessity to have your sim card in the tray as well as the sd-card????? All this time i havent had a sim in the phone as its in a crappy old one so i can still communicate with the world!!!!
Thank you to everyone for taking your time to read this. I hope a solution is possible.

yeah i downloaded those files you had mentioned in your post and followed the instructions to the letter.
I've got a suggestion if you have tried all these above.
Can you try the following on ADB and then try to unlock OEM again.
fastboot oem relock YourUnlockCode
I've done the same and it helped, even when bootloader displayed UNLOCKED. Please try it. :good::good:

Try unlocking the bootloader again even if it is unlocked. It will factory reset the device and it should boot fine. Have stuck on this many a time and this was the method i followed.
So I had flashed TWRP earlier and didn't realise that I had to reflash the stock recovery before re locking the bootloader. I re locked the bootloader because I wanted the finger print scanner to work again, but now I am left with a bootlooping phone. I was going to try to flash the stock recovery, but I cannot install the Realme X2 Pro drivers for some reason on Windows. I am going to try using FWUL to flash the stock recovery, but I don't know if it is going to work. Any advice for a poor noob soul like me?
Edit: FWUL was no dice. Couldn't even get the phone to be detected while holding down the volume button to possibly put it into EDL mode. I'm gonna have to buy an EDL cable so I can short it and boot to EDL and reflash the stock recovery. Tune in on Sunday to find out what happens next!
Don't buy any cable, you can't boot to EDL without twrp.

I actually managed to get it in EDL mode and it shows up in device manager in Windows. I don't know what to do from here though... I tried using the msm download tool but i cant get the tool to even open on my PC.
Really ? How, with cable ?
With locked bootlader I am sorry to say this but you need unbrick (EDL) rom of X2 Pro.
Maybe try OnePlus 7T's unbrick rom ? Who knows it might work if they both share the same loader, or you may end up with hard brick.

No not with a cable. I just held down the volume up button while plugging it in and it went to EDL mode. I dont think I will be able to use the OnePlus rom, but I know they do use the same bootloader so maybe it's possible? I am gonna wait and see if i can get the msm download tool for this phone from support and use that before going to the last resort of the OnePlus rom.

Found the rom but MSMSdonwloader wats password.
No one yet knows and until a working Tool is found then it’s game over. I have tried twice contacting RealmeEU but they never respond. Absolutely terrible customer service, where they can’t reply to an email.
Despite the X2 being a great value device, what they really need to also vastly improve on is responding to their customers.
I brick my CN version Realme x2 pro too. but I flashed official ROM with OTG and resolved.
I tried, edl not work, there is no worked msmdownloadtool.
Anyone find a unbrick method yet?

Hello , I was successful to extract the ofp firmware for the CN and GLOBAL version. The firmware is kind of QFIL based firmware and include patch0.xml , rawprogram0.xml , prog_firehose_ddr.elf that can be loaded on the Qualcomm QFIL tool for flashing a stock rom on EDL mode without having a unlock bootloder. I have posted a guide, go try it and post a comment if it works - https://forum.xda-developers.com/realme-x2-pro/how-to/to-unbrick-hard-brick-device-lock-t4091925 .Please read full details in the guide .
so, did someone managed to find a way around that?
i got the same issue bootloader Locked with unable to boot device due to damaged (boot/recovery)
but I can get to the EDL Mode
is there something I can do to fix this with del mode?
Also i get mine brick is there any way to solve it ?
Any updates yet? My phone isn't bricked but I'm trying to be sure whether i can flash stock rom if anything goes wrong..

Lenovo Motorola Smart Assistant - "lmsa"
I've played with, and done some more research on lmsa.
I am wondering if this would help some folks here.
Please report back success or failure and your particular symptom so others will know.
NOTE: my phone is bootloader unlocked XT1900-1 One fi which OTA'ed itself up from 8.1 to 9 Oct 1 '19 security.
If you are able to back anything up, do so before you do this - if successful, it will flash your phone.
go here
https://www.motorola.com/us/lenovo-motorola-smart-assistant
and download it.
Watch the video for software issues(lower left of that page).
Install it.
Start it up.
You want flash/ rescue.
follow the instructions and put your phone into fastboot mode and connect to PC via USB.
If it offers you something(takes a minute), click the little download arrow and when it's downloaded, click rescue.
This is what it looks like for me before I would click the download arrow.
I believe this tool is for people who have a locked bootloader, never unlocked? LMSA won't recognize my device. RSD lite won't either.
Persistent memory has some value that is not overwritten by Wipe All twrp? Of course I will never relock.... just a heads up to others.
I am one of the few.... 1900-1 Fi working fine on Aug Pie factory and wanted to try ionOS. Flashed fine and working good. Now 3 carriers in my area only US Cellular has service. T-Mob--, Sprin- coverage area 10 - 0% Found as I have before No ROM other than stock for ME can get Data services to work on all three carriers in my area. So for data services trying to reflash back to stock. NO factory image successfully flashed will have modems working. For me. Tried many forms of flash modems only via fastboot, nope.
Different flavors of ADB don't help. Now I haven't tried "Hardware tools loader" style because if wrong will brick it. Unless some one has? Various forms of flashing modems, flash all scripts, ADB versions, Hardware only flash from two ROMs (which is why I am here I think) the Wipe All needed for those two roms some how did it? No blame, just for some reason can't flash back to stock. Others have but....I can't. So hoping a forward update by Motorola Factory Image will do a complete modem working Flash.

My phone IS bootloader unlocked - I bought it used(ebay) and it came to me that way with a fresh 8.1 It gives the usual bootloader unlocked error message on boot. It has OTA updated itself to 9 Oct 1 '19 security. I have not tried to modify it because that would prevent me from getting future OTAs.
RSDlite latest (6.2.4) does not recognize my phone. That is RSDlite's fault. I don't think it is yet capable of an A/B phone, let alone a full Treble (ours, on 9, are not full Treble, only partial but DO have A/B sets of partitions).
From the attached pic you can see it was ready to flash my phone with the latest stock ROM appropriate for my device which is a 1900-1 One fi, even though it was unlocked.
I am guessing that Motorola invented lmsa to stem the flow of trashed phones to Moto factory repair. It wouldn't surprise me if it would auto blankflash if necessary.
Try it - it only takes a minute or 2 to test! The worst it can say is "no"!
Understand, tried all the options and LMSA needs I think a stock recovery, boot, fastboot flash mode. The various options show "phone not recognized" no mode available with twrp installed to goto Factory Flash as LMSA appears to wait for in Bootloader Mode. So the drop down box screen will not appear since not recognized.
This post was just a update as you had asked for others to give their results. So going to do hand flash of factory images again, see if try many times... and some how one works

This post was just a update as you had asked for others to give their results. So going to do hand flash of factory images again, see if try many times... and some how one works

Thanks.
Bummer this didn't work for you.
Yeah phone definitely needs to be in fastboot mode.
Hopefully it will help others.
Yeah, back when RSDlite worked you could "sledge hammer" just about anything if it would boot to fastboot! Hopefully they will upgrade it...
No Thank You, you gave me some ideas about the a/b devices thoughts. We have the odd ball not 9.0 at release device so the a/b script is different than some devices. So with the newest ROMs using fastboot "flash all zip scripts" for a/b boot slots I think the problem is factory images want something else for the modems. Oddly the factory images flash fine with no errors just that no modems...imei, wifi, blutooth. 8.0,8.1,9.0 all. Its a weird problem.

Yeah I was thinking a-/b prob
If you ran the "flash all fi bat" to install ionOS it would have worked well since, with Aug 9, you were in a 2 file system phone. so i am guessing
a) you would only have success flashing a 9 stock (fi or not)
b) you would probably have to do a preliminary flash with just the stock 9 bootloader etc (the stuff before the ping. as well as maybe the 2 modem erases later in the command stack - some playing needed there...) tons of guesswork and luck needed here!
c) I found it humorous that ionOS script made b active but I hope the dev knew what he/she were doing.
edit d) so what partitions set is active after you flash your tests? ie you flash something, but what are you then booting to - unless you set something active... I don't believe there is a default - just last successful - though I assume if one fails it will try the other. Perhaps endlessly.
But, yeah, I can see why that flash went well. But of course you are then stuck with the modems they flashed and how that particular opsys planed to use them. US cellular is apparently known to be iffy on the X4 since I saw that caveat on a number of ebay x4 sales - "not guaranteed for...". And Sprint, of course is cdma but is supposedly accessible as LTE by fi??? I have zero knowledge there!!!
WARNING WHEN DEALING WITH ME - I TEND TO MAKE A POST AND THEN KEEP EDITING IT ENDLESSLY>>> SORRY!
My phone suddenly get stucked into Redmi boot logo, cannot access system recovery but can access fastboot menu.
The problem is I hadn't enabled OEM unlock and developer options before. All the methods that I found so far requires bootloader unlock for that I also don't have MI account . What might be my next move? Thank you.
its hard to say what we can|t do with a still locked bootloader. if going to an authorized service center is out of reach, all we can do is try i guess. id still suggest going there if you can easily access your google account.
there are a few threads that say we can flash a still locked bl, but im not so sure.
Flash stock ROM/Recovery, lock bootloader?
Is there any guide on how I can complete return phone to stock and lock bootloader? Thank you.

With EDL mode? I'm in a similar situation, a friend's mother forced a shutdown during a firmware update and destroyed the system that way. Of course the bootloader is blocked. I find it extremely stupid of Xiaomi to rely on a working system to give you the chance to unlock the bootoader but I guess that's how you sell some extra phones.
So far I've taken out the rear cover and the plastic that goes on top of the motherboard, unplugged the battery and with an arduino cable and some fiddeling shorted the "boot" pins while connecting the USB cable. Seems to be working given that MiFlash has changed the locked bootloader error for "indice fuera de limites" or in English "index out of limits error". I guess I don't have the right ROM so I'm downloading another one, but I'm struggilng to find the correct original fastboot ROM. The first one I've downloaded from Mi Community, the second one is from xiaomifirmwareupdater, but is gonna take forever to download. And I mean... F-O-R-E-V-E-R
