As someone who has owned the Bionic since launch, and just jumped to CM 10.1 a few days ago, I'll chime in here. It's a much better phone since CM 10.1. That said, be prepared for issues initially. I had a lot of problems and was ready to give up - until I did a factory reset on the CM 10.1 ROM. If you decide to make the switch, you can root, install SafeStrap, and flash CM 10.1 and Gapps with confidence, as long as don't mind doing a factory reset and rebuilding everything. Since the phone is new to you, that shouldn't be much of a deterrent.
I personally would recommend making the plunge.
Thanks a lot... is there any thing not working... i heard the camera is fixed...

Yep, camera works fine. Check out the last page or two of the post related to the ROM you intend to flash to see what kind of issues people are working. From the Official CM 10.1 ROM:
WHAT'S NOT WORKING (NOTE: I expect to be able to fix all of these issues, it's just taking some time):
Gallery / Media FC see top of the post for FIX.
HDMI
Dock/Dock Settings
Some random reboots being looked at.

What did you mean when you said you had to reset on the CM ROM? Does the ROM still stay on the phone after the reset? Also, what did you have to do to rebuild everything?
I have another post asking for advice on rooting and ROMs. If you could help me out too, that would be great. I am interested in CM.

After installing the CM 10.1 20130326 NIGHTLY for the first time on a newly rooted Bionic, the phone was extremely unstable. A factory reset made all that go away. I elected to download all my apps again for a fresh start. Right now, it's working well.

It's downloadable via a seperate package called gapps (google apps). You can get it on the CM ( http://www.cyanogenmod.com/ ) site. You want the ics version of course. They may be running a specific gapps release (from the cm site), you'd have to search at least the last few pages of the thread.
There's also a.link on hashcodes site.

Thanks, ill look into it as soon as I get home from work...
A side note: For the alpha, I'm bundling GApps with the ROM. I know this is not common policy, however it will solve some issues with upgrading from build to build and I can keep GTalk out for the time being (it crashes continuously due to camera access).
I ran into that problem myself, forgot about loading the gapps i flashed back to liberty, I will try it again later tonight.
So do I just install the ics zip, and then go back into recovery and install the gapps zip?
Flash ICS and then the apps and do a wipe of data and cache.

Turn off Bluetooth and sound will be back! It's a known bug.
Hey guys!
I have you, an official version of Motoblur w/Android 4.0.4 (my creation!)
Just to play it safe, I really want to avoid everything I am saying below:
1. DO NOT argue or discuss the liability or credibility of this rom.
The DROID 3's current version is [Advanced Beta #1 -- 6.9.888] and the DROID BIONIC is on [Beta #2 -- 2.4.742].
XT860 Users: http://bit.ly/IB1Xeb
XT862 Users: http://bit.ly/HPcamq
NOTE: If coming from ANY PREVIOUS RELEASE, A FULL WIPE IS REQUIRED!
Format your system, format your data, wipe cache and wipe dalvik-cache!
KEEP IN MIND: The first boot will take about 2 or 3 minutes. It will speed up more. Also note that the boot animation is considerably slow but it will progressively speed up while it boots. You will know it boots up when your capacitive lights come on.
What doesn't work:
Video Recording on the camera
Panorama Mode on the camera
HW Codecs aren't working
__________________________________________________ ________________
Changelog for Advanced Beta #1:
1. Updated icon set for most apps from DROID RAZR ICS Leak
2. Some other things added from Razr ICS Leak (won't be noticed probably)
3. Physical Keyboard fix
4. GOOGLE APPS ARE INCLUDED: DO NOT FLASH GOOGLE APPS
5. XT860 Data fix
6. Updated AOKP Base
7. Rotation issues should be fixed
8. Other small bug fixes
9. Added Motoblur ICS Launcher (from DROID RAZR ICS Leak)
10. Added Google Play Store version 3.5.15 (will update to .16)
11. Added Volume+ v1.9 beta
12. Added Root Explorer
13. More Launcher choices (Apex, 2 RAZR ICS Launchers, Launcher2)

Well, now that you have a little "refresh" (I can't think of the better word), I'd like to ask a favor from you.
Over the past few months, I have been hard at work some to little help from developers.

I have been working really hard to get the rom to work. I've been dealing with booting problems, setup problems, etc... and have finally gotten to a home screen with FC's that won't bother us too much.
So now I get to my question. I believe I already have one person in a test group, and I would like to know if anybody would be helpful enough to try out my rom for about a day or 2.
You have to look at the pictures above to see what im trying to do in making a slightly different rom than Hashcode's stock ICS.

Gummy question
First of all pardon my ignorance. I have flashed several ROMS with sucess (and instructions!), however I have not seen anything on Gummy as far as instructions. Is Gummy a stand alone ROM or does it get installed on top of an exsisting ROM? If the later is true which ROM is the best to install over? I have a Bionic with a stock 904 and am rooted. Thank you!
Denny
I'm not sure what's going on with TeamGummy, but I'm having a LOT better luck with HiveDev's unofficial CM9 port. I installed the 5/31 nightly and I'm having amazing luck with it. The camera is even extremely usable!

Ok, so I loaded the ROM. There is nothing Google, how do you load any apps? I found the Google Play apk and Titanium Backup apk, loaded both and neither work. Thanks!

You need to flash GAPPS after you flash the ROM. Here is a link to what I think is the latest GAPPS
http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-ics-20120422-signed.zip
It worked! Thanks!
Well after a couple of days trying this ROM I have to say I'm not happy with the performance. I keep having to reboot, I keep losing my radio and phone service. I have made calls where I can hear nothing but the other person can hear me. Maybe I'll try again when they get the bugs worked out.
I saw this on DroidLife and figured y'all might benefit from this (I hadn't seen any post's about it) so here you go
Update to Build 4.08.605.19 Published on February 1st, 2013 Written by: Kellex DroidLife.com
The original DROID Incredible by HTC, a device released almost three years ago, is set to receive its next OTA update. The update is minor to build 4.08.605.19, and simply includes a fix to reduce reboots, but man, how random is that?
We didn’t think anything could top the randomness of the Thunderbolt Ice Cream Sandwich update that popped up yesterday through Big Red’s support site, however, it’s safe to say that this just topped it.
The update is 4.2MB in size.

Well considering the extreme annoyance caused by the 2am reboot thing that was introduced with the last OTA, this update was long overdue. Hey, an update to ICS would be truly awesome but it would be a bit bigger than 4.2Mb I dare say (and would involve a whole lot more time and money to develop, something that would be very majorly hugely unlikely for a three year old device like this).

Verizons excuse is they didn't want to have to repartition the internal storage which would be required to fit ICS and all their bloat.

Cm 10.1 doesn't even fit well on the inc without some tweaking. There's no way a sense ICS will fit on 250mb when AOSP is smaller than sense. Do you remember how the sense build that I worked on with puremotive needed symlinks to fit and that's the lighter version of sense?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
Coincidentally, I was thinking of sending my old Incredible back to stock in order to attempt maximizing its stability, because I'm giving it to my kid as a games platform for travel, etc.
The phone is no longer registered on Verizon's network, so I'm guessing that means I would not get access to an OTA update if I placed the 4.08.605.15 RUU on this phone - correct?

Yes the update is now active. I saved it if anyone wants to root it and or check it out. I have not installed it.
I have the stock ROM.. I got prompted to update an hour ago.. it went through fine. I was hoping it would fix the proximity sensor bug which drains the battery (dialer process in battery view). Haven't checked whether it was fixed yet, but I doubt it.
FYI, I'm using the phone through Page Plus.. which relies on Verizon's network. I never expected to see an update for this phone..

The OTA was pushed to my phone while using the Sparkplug rom. I saved it but I have not installed it yet in fear of losing root. I have 3 Incredibles and they all belong to my kids. I'm going to attempt to root it and install it to see how it runs.
So it looks like Cyanogenmod 10.2 was released early this morning as a nightly. It's based on Android 4.3, which was released for the Nexus devices a few weeks ago I think.
I've been pretty happy with the nightly version of 10.1 I've had on my phone for a couple of weeks now, but I think I might backup my phone and see whether the latest version is worth keeping.
Anyone tried it already and have any comments?
Edit: Tried it, can't use it yet. Keyboard problems, freezing. Oh well.
Been running for about 4 hours at this point, all apps restored.
Had one blue screen reboot on screen wake.
First impression is that it is very smooth. Focal force closes so can't try that.
Camera works but is not stable.
Definitely a beta but off to a good start for the first 10.2. But I can't live with random reboots so back to 10.1-M3 for now.
10.2 has different vold configs
In the 10.1.2 nightlies I was able to manually edit /syste/etc/vold.fstab to swap internal and external sd-card.
This has changed under JB 4.3 and CM 10.2.x. Details are provided here:
http://source.android.com/devices/tech/storage/index.html
[ UPDATE ] Root also works differntly in JB 4.3, so that needs to be sorted as well.

The test is to see if you can run for several days with no unexpected restarts. If you are able to do that , then be sure and post and tell others about it because that has been the problem for many months now.
All CyanogenMod downloads are always available at http://get.cm
Just scroll down to quincytmo on the left, then choose nightly on top left.
Cool...found it...now there's a newer nightly for 10.1 can I just flash the zip without restarting anythin? Thnx...

If you are running a 10.1 you can just run your cm updater and chosen the new 10.1 nightly.
If you go from 10.1 to 10.2, you should do a typical new ROM procedure. A backup, then factory reset, then flash the new ROM, then the 2013-8-13 gapps, then wipe dalvik and cache, then finally reboot.
I put the boot from the quincytmo 10.2 into the Pacman 4.3 alpha zip. Also using PA 4.3 gapps. Will let you know how it goes.
Been using it for almost 3days. Works great and smooth. At first, youtube seems to crash always, gps doesn't work and i can't download and even update my apps in playstore. (what i did is that reinstall youtube, and sign out my google acct. and then sign in it again to fix playstore and dunno how GPS was fixed . Wiping cache & dalvic cache and rebooting ma phone helped. And now everything's going and works so smooth! N i love it.
Btw focal doesn't work at all. Dunno how to fix it. Always crashes.
Other than that.. Still the best )

You'll have to use TWRP for ATT. Also, flash the T-Mobile radio too. This isn't supported for T-Mobile so backup and flash at your own risk.

No reboots or anything, just a bit slow out of sleep mode. I went back to Padawan 9 for now as I'm going out tonight and don't want any surprises when I go to take a photo.
hahahaha true that...ok ima give it a shot! u are always helpful fraught! u should be a developer with all that knowledge you have and ure in LA i'm in Pomona so u ain't too far bro! well have fun n i'll post my experience of 4.3 pacman....oh have you injected anything on any other ATT roms? like pimpdroid rom? Honestly, all I'm doing is swapping files around with winrar. There has to be a compatible boot image though. Unfortunately, without a T-Mobile official JellyBean update, I don't think we can use ATT touchwiz JB roms. A shame as I installed Padawan JB on my friend's i717 and it was killer.
Really though, there are already enough 4.1.2 and 4.2.2 roms to keep me occupied for the time being. I've sort of shyed away from the 4.2 roms as of late and have been just playing with the very stable 4.1 setups as I don't want my phone rebooting on me while I'm at a party or want to have my camera instantly available.
Well to know how to swap files id be lost! I used to have a quincyatt and yeah padawan was really good but 4g speeds on tmobile network were horrible...yeah there are lots of roms but the more we get the more excited we get...

Some of you may read the ATT Note forum. Over there the member ~SoulTaker~ has been compiling Cyanogenmod 10.2 on his own for those users. Because Cyanogenmod has not been creating 10.2 nightlies for the Note.
I have a compile and upload routine setup to produce UNOFFICIAL 10.2 nightlies for the Tmobile note if you want to try them. all are working OK so far, they are the same as what we would be getting from the Cyanogenmod build servers if they were building nightlies for us. All the standard warnings apply.
Here is the link to my google drive folder with the files. Click on the file you want, you will get an error because it can't preview, then look for the download arrow on the bottom right of the screen, click that.
Changelog is the regular 10.2 changelog (when it is up) and look between the date of the last file and the newest. http://10.2.cmxlog.com/?device=quincytmo
NOTE** I am just generating the zip file from Cyanogenmods github, not creating anything. So can't help you if you want a feature or fix or something.
