Introducing custom theming and mods for the Venom ViperDHD ROM.
Though we are little mackerels in a big ocean of theming, modding and app icon designing, we hope to be swimming among the finest soon.
Over the past little while, team we have been designing theming and mods for the Viper ROM. We finally have a few that we would love to share.
We are presently working on various other themes, mods, app icon designs and skins to be added soon.
We welcome all suggestions, requests, and complaints with open arms. Anything you want, just ask and we'll do our best to accommodate your needs.
Though HTC DHD is an aging device, we strongly believe that there is plenty of life left within it. In saying so,we proudly gives back to the community.

It will theme your systemui (dropdown, statusbar etc) to look green and black Brand new pngs, started from scratch. Use the default HTC skin for full effect, otherwise not all components will show. VR theme so it will work with every current version of Venom 2.x and should work for 1.X but untested, I will not have to update these with every release

Jan, I only saw 2 download links for this post ? Well I have all of those items in those zips ?
Correction: I only saw themed apk's for keyboard and dialer. Are you still working out the kinks in the power menu, settings,etc ? And where can I get those themed status bar icons ?

Thanks to your mods the desire hd has came alive from the grave.
Also remember sense 5 isn't completely out yet, so HTC may change system files graphical user interface over time.

Grear work!! I have install dialer, keyboard and setting icons and everything looks great.
I just want to report something but only cause you ask for report so in the keyboard if you look at the delete and enter button you can see that that's not perfect. It seems a little bit "dirty".
While in dialer I thinks that it looks more sense 5 style if you delete space between buttons if it possible and also if other people want it like that. Maybe its only my opinion

Good question? Im all set on i2 being that its running perfect but I guess since the majority will be on i3 I should check to see if it compatible...unless Marcus can answer that already?

I would prefer something like the impalers transparent bold blue mms with this. But would probably have to really do it with gb mms as it was ec05

*edit* suggestions would be make the pull down bar black or black with some cool designs!
And maybe try to change the rest of the pulldown to black!
And ifyou weren't already plnning to maybe theme up the google search .apk !

Im def making the pull down bar black and theming up the googlesearch.apk but for the entire pulldown I'm gonna have to leave to the next release, am really just trying to push this out by this weekend by simply changing as much of the icons as I can to blue, along with theming the apps to blue!

This is a personal theme that i use to get EXTREMELY good life out of my battery!! If you want a phone that lasts and you like black then this is the theme for you! I notice some of my menu item text is black on black. Such as when in XDA and press menu soft key. Icons are white, text is black, same in k9 mail.

Ya I'm gonna make one soon. I personally enjoy the lockmod but not many themes have a NON lockmod version so I did this for them. Hopefully in a day or so ill have it up

Nice theme... liking it so far. I appreciate having a non-lock version as the lock screen mod seemed to begin the soft resets on my Epic. Any chance of getting the flashlight and reboot options added to the scrolling widget mod? Thanks.

Love the theme! You, sir are a rock star.
I don't often request or make suggestions...the artist has to be left alone to work...but I like the SMS feature where the bubbles are different colors depending on the party. Like this theme would be "black on white" for one and "white on black" for the other. Just me. But I love the dialer and themed icons! Many thanks!

I have been waiting for a simple black theme, and this looks to be the best yet. Thank you for not including the lockscreen, it was never my favorite mod, and had a few memory leaks from what I hear
Edit: LOVE IT, had to change the font, I don't have the best eye sight, and the text was too small for me to read. No worries though, have to do that with every theme. Submenus have black on black text, like Adw menu, but that I am sure will be fixed soon. Thanks again

Try this.

Its just .mtz so copy it to /sdcard/MIUI/themes/ and when you reopen themes it should be there.
If not then in themes go menu>import from SD
And choose the file you just downloaded.

Btw, Dark version will be much similar with Original Sense 4.0
because button bar, menu, pop up etc will be convert to black color..
need many thing to be changed.. and i should do many experiment for it
since the framework was difference

btw, why don't use this texture for setting menu
and also use transparent list item with 2 lines only, it will be better, also for "status_bar_close_on.9.png" why don't use 480px width picture, it will look fine with " //////" just my idea, you made good improve and if you need help, i'm here

yes...i will probably add white setting texture for the light theme...
but original sense 4.0 background was black color though..
for status bar close, if you see original Sense 4.0 will be same with this theme
you can see attachment..but i think it's better also to make it on 480p

About this theme?
-This is an almost full port of the flashable theme Paranoid Darkness. It includes some additional stuff, because the original theme seems to be currently discontinued.
What you can expect?
-Themed framework-res.apk (dialogs, backgrounds, menus etc.)
-Themed SystemUI.apk (font colors, statusbar icons etc.)
-Themed Applications (Calculator, Contacts/Dialer, Videoeditor, Settings, Phone, Play Store, LatinIME/Keyboard, DeskClock, Apollo)
-Themed Daydreams (Phototable)
-Themed widgets (Energy control, Torch.)
-Very small, less than 1MB. Just the files, which are themed included, so there are no additional graphics.

No black dialogs, apps etc.? (Check the 'What you can expect?' section in first post.)
This is just a port and there are not so many changes in comparison to stock. But I'll create a plus version soon, which have more changes than the original port.

Pretty much the whole theme is the stock (ics) layout. Some things are like black but thats it.

You said, it doesn't work for you, I asked you, what's not working. You said, it's stock except some black things. But the theme is stock with some black things. Just look into the changelog section in the first post.

If you read the OP you would know that new Icons will come in the near future. Anyway, i like the Theme, keep up the good work.
I think what is confusing everyone, myself included, is the fact that your notification icons are not stock. Where did you get those? Any chance we can get that theme ? Regardless it is a superbly well done blacked out stock theme

As I understood it, new icons would come because the icons from the theme was too small, not stock.

Sone parts might, it's because Kingcobra is Full Sense will this is Lite sense. Full sense is harder to theme and the file names are different so some parts might work

No because it uses m10 files instead of the straight res folders. I can't be bothered decompiling this many m10s for a ROM that I don't use so if someone else wants to port they are welcome but at this stage no sorry

You know the sense 5 lock screen is a different and unique thing......
The ordinary ring gives a old look...

The ring fit more with the theme btw if you push the lockscreen from another similar rom without the sense 5 look you will get stock lockscreen like in my screenshot. if you want to reflash,
reflash rom, open my zip, go to vrtheme/system/app/Matte/apk/res/drawable-hdpi and delete the lock ring image, then flash my zip
It won't have my lock ring anymore
I flashed it.....
Lock screen didn't change... It's still the same sense 5 lock screen.....

The themed icons are music, camera, phone, messages, mail cause they are in my dock, and they are stock in the dock for HTC sense ROMs I think
Anything not those icons are not touched
