[Q] Why no FM in cyanogen?

Hi, i'm on the last nightly build but fm doesn't work, but LG released a GB rom with FM, why cyanogen don't use drivers from LG for FM? It's a great rom but i can't use it cause that

its not that simple

Hi there,
the FM and a2dp is routed from the broadcom chip (which is doing wireless LAN, Bluetooth and? ) through the Tegra chip by nvidia which has currently not been "opensourced".
Therefore all non-stock based roms like CM aren't able to gain access to the functions provided by the Tegra chip(?).

You can't use drivers from official GB in CM. They must be recompiled to fit exactly with CM kernel sources. And to compile them you need driver's sources, which are not published !!!
It has been asked 1.000.000 times.
You can imagine that every dev has already tried to just insert kernel compiled drivers from GB to CM... It just doesn't work.
So write to Nvidia to ask them to publish Tegra2 sources and it will be possible.
Sincerely, if you need FM radio just install Topogigi 1.6 ROM, it rocks and has nothing to envy to CM (I know I used CM till now).

topogigi is fine, but cm7 is much better!!! i will hate lg + tegra all my life now

Is this connected to the camera problems too?

Hi , i have installed cyanogenmod nightly 7.1
wich came i gues with kernel 2.6.32.45-cyanogenmod [email protected]#1
on my lg optimus 2x . now everything works fine except flash on the camera en 3 g seems to have bad connections with vodafone...is there a way to improve this with a differrent kernel version ..and maybe i can overclock it then also... please any advice for a newby.

For the 3G, check if you have the right Access point in the settings/wireless and then mobile settings and then the access points.if not the right one, you can add your access point...if you dont know ...google for your operator and region and insert the information there
For Camera check if it is related the no flash selection....if it is not selected, u need to select flash....

Why don't yu update to latest nightly through clockwork. Or yu can get getRIL and match RIL with baseband

I would recommend to try Temasek's CM7....this Kang is with a lot of features and works great....
The Gueste ROM is also very stable and good

[Q] (Q); Fm Radio apk from Samsung in ICS

Assuming you have a kernel with FM radio support, does anyone have a one click install version of a working and compatible with ICS version of the radio apk.
This chap on this post; http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1456724 (and others) have managed to get the FM apk to work, but the developer/OP links are down and he ain't responding.

I use spirit FM on CM9
dal mio SGS con XDA

Do you know what the extra/new features on that are ? Will try it anyway. Thanks.

You should ask your questions in the "question section" Mackay is CM10.1 based, so actually you are looking for a working FM for CM10.1. AFAIK there isn't any working solution for OB yet. kasper_h said he is not gonna work on FM for Mackay ROM (if i remember correctly). But there are threads in XDA for FM radio on CM that had much success. You can take a look at them, and try to apply yourself, if you want.

as I installed the above rom not found FM radio app on TX phone and try to install manually but failed.

Use Spirit UL or Spirit 2.

I've tried Spirit UL on Xperia V with CM11 M11 but it's not working.. Does anybody know is there any way to set it up to work?
