This morning after my phone became unresponsive I restarted it.
After restart it would just shut off during boot. Thinking this might me a ROM issue I then proceeded to wipe/factory reset but the problem continued
I restored a nand and it shuts off at the same spot, during boot.
I have now flashed several official firmware with Odin and still the same problem.
Could anyone shed some light on how to fix it?
Perhaps your battery is bloated?because my phone was once in that condition(unresponsive and restart like every 10mins) until I discover that the battery was bloated.

Need a little help here...out of the blue today my phone started continuously re-booting itself. Only gets to the HTC screen and then re-boots. I have done multiple battery pulls with no results. I cannot boot into recovery either, tried that many times as well. My only option is a screen that I have not seen before that asks if I want to clear all data and then reset the device. Anyone have an ideas? Running Fresh 2.3.3, had no previous problems.
I had the same thing happen today. I had just flashed Fresh 2.3.3 to try to fix the GPS issue in the CM6 830 nightly, and my phone started rebooting every minute or so. I pulled the battery and immediately booted into recovery by holding down <home> and <end call>. I was able to get to recovery, where I flashed a different ROM I had on my SD card. I hope this helps.
Two weeks ago my phone randomly started to think it was charging every now and again. I thought nothing of it until One day it wouldn't boot. It would get stuck at the Samsung n7000 logo screen. I was able to boot into CWM so I did that and I tried to do a back up just because, but then it failed at backing up /data. It said it was corrupted. I went ahead and flashed another ROM and it booted just fine after that, but the charging problem persisted so I just ignored that. My phone just decided to not boot again so I was wondering if there was anything that could be done to save my phone. Also, I've always used a safe kernel.
TL;DR Phone doesn't boot. Randomly thinks it's charging and when I use CWM it says /data is corrupt. Flashing a new ROM only fixes it temporarily.
I think it is a hardware problem take a look at this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2008657
Thanks for the reply. f it persists I was probably gonna result in doing that. I am mainly looking for a solution to my other problem though. My phone sometimes just wont turn on at all.
I just went to a stock rom with ODIN installed a new kernel and then a new ROM so I'll see how that goes for a while, but if it's anything like before it wont last very long.
We've got two G870A phones. I updated both of them to OA1 and re-rooted with Towelroot using the NE1 kernel flash trick. One of them works great, while the other constantly hangs up, cannot maintain wifi connections, etc.
I reflashed with the complete NE1 thinking that I'd do the OTA update again and see what happened. Now, however, the phone boots to the AT&T logo and stays there. After about three minutes, I get a message about Android.process.acore stopping, the phone reboots, and the cycle continues. I've booted to the stock recovery and cleared the cache since that's about all I can do.
Is there anything else I can do or try before doing a factory reset? Naturally, it's my wife's phone that's having all of the problems.
On edit: I did a factory reset. Hopefully this also resolves the battery life issues that this handset was having.
Hi All,
Sorry if this is asked before. I have a new Note 5 unlocked. I turned it on yesterday and started using it. Late at night, its screen froze. I tried pressing Power+Volume_Down buttons to restart the phone. The phone restarted but the the screen was black. Only the notification light was on (blue).
In the morning, the light was still on and the phone was froze. I tried restarting it and I succeeded it. Then I realized the phone was very, I mean veeeery slow. By the time, a firmware update notification popped up. I believe it was Marsmallow update. I hit the yes button. The phone started the update and was stuck at %24. Then it restarted itself. The update process starts over and when it reaches %24, it starts over.
This happened before with my note 4 when I tried to root it. This phone is brand new and is not rooted. However, I transferred my Google profile but I did not select to download my previous apps. So, I don't think it is rooting issue but stucking at the same percentage makes me nervous.
I tried to get into recovery mode but the button combination does not work at all. So I can neither factory reset nor clear the cahe partition. When I press Volume_Down+Home+Power buttons, a custom rom download screen appears but Volume_Up+Home+Power buttons do not work at all. I cannot shut off the phone. It constantly restarts itself, starts the update, fails at %24 and starts the process over again.
What might be the problem? How can I fix this?
Regards
Hi,
Try flashing some stockfirmware via Odin (ideally something of the same android version i.e. lollipop/marshmallow). Once it's installed you should be able to access recovery from which I strongly recommend clearing your cache afterwards as you've already suggested. If you are not worried about loosing any data, then flash new firmware that is inclusive of BL/CP/CSC files too (each one has a category for such in Odin). With the latter, by all means flash marshmallow etc. :good:

Switched phone on after work, phone powers up, boots up and then freezes after around 20 secs then switches off and re-boots, the process then starts again over and over again.
I've tried deleting cache, master reset, safe mode, simulated battery reset which does not work. I let the battery run flat by putting the phone into download mode and then recharged the battery but still nothing. The phone seems stable only in download mode.
I managed to re-install stock 7.0 firmware via Odin. Firmware installs fine, phone boots up and then freezes on welcome screen and then boots up again. I then tried 6.0.1, again installs fine, I get the welcome set up screen but after a 20 odd secs freezes up again.
The phone is less than two years old. Samsung service centre warranty job? Thanks.
Yes, in this case it probably seems an issue which can be solved by the service centre.

I know this is old, but for anyone else with similar problems, have you tried flashing with Odin after erasing everything via recovery?
