i tried to flash a different firmware on my phone but still the same , icons become unresponsive after i set it up. i found out every time i put the animation to off thru developers settings my icons becomes unresponsive. i can only put it to .5x and everything is responsive.
Two observation found:
1. It is launcher specific problem, more specifically Sony launcher problem. As you said unresponsive when disable animations, and interesting it also happens to modded Xperia launcher too. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2103403
2. It is responsive when you click on the upper left hand corner of the icon.
3. 3rd party launcher works fine with all animations off.
4. This situation only happens after booting with animations off. If you boot it with animation on and turn off without rebooting, it still works fine.
So I guess it should be a bug of the Sony launcher...

Full wipe and flash rom again?
Sent from my Xperia X8 using xda premium
I could but I don't think it'll solve my problem.
Before flashing the ROM, I've previously made a full wipe, a cache wipe and a dalvik cache wipe.
I'll give some more infos if I try this (but for the moment I don't want to lose my config, messages...).
Err, sorry. but, launcher fc? or else??

after you unlock it you say it fc or before?
It's the phone application FC.
The FC happen when I start a call. Then I'm brought back to the "desktop".
The call works but I can't stop it or go back to phone application (dial pad).
After Full Wipe again (cache, dalvik cache...) and flash ROM again, it works.
But I've just installed Speedtest.net application and it broked it all =(
Do you have any idea on how to fiw this?
(I think I'll soon re-wipe re-flash XD)
did you change the LCD Density? from 160 to 140 i did and this happened to me when receiving calls
Thank you so much Lloir!
You found out the problem =)
I don't know if this bug has been reported...
I'll post it on the dev topic.
No worries
Hello everyone,
I've searched all over but wasn't able to find any solutions to this problem or a reason why it happens.
Often when I just lock my screen it stays off for a bit, then after a few seconds it opens up the lockscreen again. It keeps doing this in a loop.
For what it's worth: I'm running DJANGOMANOUCHE X 1.3 30A on the kowalski kernel, but it did this on other roms aswell..
Hope someone could clear this up for me!

Did you full wipe everytime before install? Don't get this wrong but it's a common fault.
Next question is do you use titanium backup? Maybe there's a faulty backup

I always fully wipe everything and format /system before installing a new rom.
I do not use titanium backup or any other backup method.

Well, I did replace my digitizer twice because I dropped it, but then again, how would that affect the lockscreen? since it's a hardware button and not related to the digitizer.
It could just still be hardware damage of dropping it too often though.
Was this resolved.

Hey buddy. Were you able to resolve the issue. I tried all that I could however still facing this issue. Starting happening to me recently when I swithced to new BL however it still happens in old BL when I reverted. The screen would not lock in recover Screen TWRP however it would only happen in android.
Hey guys wanna check if anyone's experienced this and if anyone has a fix for these issues.
Firstly, after rooting, I noticed that I always get a message saying "Android is upgrading" every reboot. I've tried foxes suggested in other threads of other phones but it doesn't seem to work. Anyone experiencing the same thing?
The second issue is upon changing the dpi in build.prop to 320, the phone.apk and dialer in contacts.apk messes up in the sense that there is no call button. I've used App Settings to change the individual dpi of each app back to 480 but the call button is not restored. Only when build.prop is 480 does it come back.
Anyone can help with the above issues? :/ can't find anything in the forums about these.

Which ROM are you using, because almost all of the ROM installs advise to factory reset and delete cache etc, in which case I don't think you should not get upgrading apps message on first boot.
Something is not right with your delvik cache, this normally only occurs when you clear your delvik cache. I would suggest backup, factory reset, reinstalling a ROM, then root.

I'm on stock. I only rooted using Bin4ry's tool and that was all. The only things I did extra was flash black soft keys and flash White Balance with TWRP. I've done a full factory reset before, even using PC companion to repair and re-install the firmware but this still occurs.

This is the same as "wiping dalvik" in CWM or TWRP right? Doesn't seem to work. I've re-flashed the firmware and the root doesn't seem to give any issues. It's not TiBu like other threads for other devices have mentioned either. I think it's Xposed that caused it. I used it to install App Settings which lets me change individual app settings. Will try it out again and see what happens.
EDIT: Okay it seems to be the flashing of the soft keys to make it black.

This is a known issue if you have unlocked bootloader.
Some people have gotten it to work, but this seems random.
I had this with the FR FTF, Commercial and Journalist fixed it.

I'm having this issue. Very frustrating. I can't find a download for a commercial or journalist link. If I find one, do I have to do the whole process of clearing, flashing rom, power off, and then flashing FTF again, or do I just re-flash with the new ftf?

Fixes for non working camera
1) Clear data for ALL camera related apps in settings
2) Do a factory reset
3) If rooted, enter recovery, clear cache, clear dalvik, reboot
Start with doing (1), see if it works, if not try (2), see if it works then try (3)
Only if all 3 of these options do not work should you try a full reinstall.
Mine just no focus
I can take pic. I am on lb

Those will likely do nothing, the error comes from mm-qcamera, which is part of low level libs, clearing dalvik cache is almost always useless. A factory reset won't affect this issue either.
I'm guessing some FTFs carry different versions of camera libs.

yes flashing the commercial-journalist version fixed the issue for me but I lost root and recovery. However, I used fastboot to flash Z1_DooMLoRD_AdvStkKernel_FW-681_v02.img and then flashed the latest Super Su from the new DooMLoRD recovery to re-root the device.

Hello, I'm pretty much new to the android scene therefore excuse me for my stupidness on this field
I unlocked my nexus 6, then I rooted it and and then I flashed a custom rom (Euphoria 1.0) with WugFresh's Tool.
Yesterday I tried installing adaway and gave it full root permissions, it asked me to reboot and I did so.
After rebooting I realized that I can't unlock my phone nor do anything else except using the pull down notification bar and having a back button, no middle button nor right button.. The screen just remains black. I tried rebooting in recovery mode but nothing changes.
What do I've to do now?
The device doesn't show up as MTP.
When I enter TWRP now it asks me for a password??
I've a Nandroid backup saved on my HDD and I still have the custom rom ZIP saved as well.

Reset your entire phone by flashing the factory image. This can be done with the wugs toolkit as well.

It depends. If your phone doesn't work at the moment because something is wrong in the rom, the chance of the same thing happening could happen again. You can try restoring your nandroid and see if that fixes your problem. If not going back to stock is the best way to fix your problem.
