Just bought this device but already regretting. First issues trying to receive apk files via Bluetooth.
Now I realized many apps do not work on it because it's not ARM architecture.
Does someone managed to get candy crush working on it?

Some apps really don't work with Razr i because of his x86 architecture, but if you update to jelly bean 4.1.2 the app should work, like Subway Surfers, it didn't work on ICS on Razr i, but when i updated to Jelly Bean it worked again. =)
By the way, which candy crush are you talking about, there are many of them, please post the link of it directly to google play =)
Sorry for my bad english

I have RAZR I since October last year, still on ICS.
Installed lot of stuff on it and everything works just fine.
Yet to find any software that would not run on it...
Try installing directly from play store... why bother with bluetooth at all?
DrLamok
When I got this device, it already came with Jelly Bean. 4.1.2.
And there is only one candy crush saga on play store. The same as we play on Facebook... searching the net, no-one could make it work on razr I.

I eventually got an email from the candy crush developers the other day saying:
Hello,
Thanks for the email.
CCS only supports ARM 7 processor architecture, and Motorola RAZR has an Intel
Atom based on an x86 processor, which we unfortunately don’t support at the
moment. We are currently working on fixing this issue.
We apologise for the inconvenience.
Kind Regards,
King.com App Support
So we just have to wait as I think they've been working on this for months now!

Have you tried installing the apk manually? The thing is that there is a library in Android that our RazR i has called libhoudini and it fakes/exposes an ARMv7 processor and should be able to translate most code on the fly -- that is how Angry Birds runs on the RazR i, or a lot of the AnTuTu Benchmarks for the CPU/RAM testing portion.
Unfortunately I already tried.... it does not work....

hi all, I tried to install a modified apk this game and I downloaded the data from the SD and in all cases gave me fatal error. in 3.2 and in 4.0.4 .. I have the modified apk if anyone needs it.
I got it to run on Team EOS nightly 85 for a few minutes and crashed. I read its coming for Tegra2 by the summer so let's hope it will be here sooner than later. I hate devs that forget there are way more Tegra2 owners out there than tegra3. I love my xoom and have no plans on getting another tablet since it has served all my tablet needs since I got it.
I got my one running too (umts_everest nightly 58) but it crashed just after the splash screen I can share with you guys the app (as it's free it isn't warez I think, need to check with the moderator)...

the videos of asphalt 7 are very impressive with high graphics, but on my P990 the graphics are crappy as hell. i think our phones are more than capable of running it on high graphics, so y does gameloft do this **** to us
M8 Asphalt 7 is officially not even released on Play store:cyclops:.More over the available versions are beta so don't get to any conclusions so soon.

the version your using is an unofficial version disseminated across the internet, so wait for the official release, having said that from the other games, like nova 3 and the amazing spiderman, gameloft doesnt give a damn about optimising the games on our phones, only apple devices and the galaxy s line

Enable visual effects.
If there is an .xml file named somthng like "config" in game folder? then you can enable all the visual effects in game by editing that file using a text editor. And almost all effects are supported by our P990.
when finally this game will be released for android?

Thanks , this solution worked for me on my sensation xe.
After you installed Chainfire, what settings did you use, did you load a plugin? Thanks!
well,is there any Damn ICS or JB rom which can run gameloft games?
we are trying our best to port all the latest android versions, but none of it is able to run Gameloft games. All these developments are useless.a galaxy s does not qualify as a smartphone unless it runs HD games even if it is running on Jelly bean
So, you want to say, that all the hard work the developers spend in their free time to bring the latest Android free of charge to devices abandoned by their vendors, is completely useless just because they can't run particular games?
I'm not into a lot of gaming on my Galaxy S, but do those Gameloft games which don't run on ICS/JB run on GB? If this is the case and running those games is the most important thing about your phone, why don't you just stay on GB?
+1 to stbenz..

you seem to be a noob, who uses his smartphone just for calling purpose.listen you can donate your POWERVR SGX 540 GPU to a someone who can make the most of it. you see,the developers can port jelly bean from galaxy nexus and even a htc sense from htc devices.which are capable of doing everything, then why not they can run HD games?

Apologies for the noobish question, I've searched the forums and googled etc.. and not found the answer to my question...
This is my first Android phone, so I'm still getting my head around how things work - quite a few major apps are not compatible with the XZ, is this just because it's a new phone and apps need to be adjusted to work with new handsets? And if so, how long does it take in general for an app to be made compatible? (eg. Angry Birds Star Wars which is a huge game, isn't compatible, I assume this will change in the near future?)
I know it is possible to download programs to bypass incompatibilities, but I don't want to jailbreak (or whatever you fancy Android types call it) my phone just yet.
Sorry if this is a dumb question/answered somewhere else and I'm being totally blind - please lock the thread if so!

No it's not Google's problem. We will all have to wait for the app to be updated by the developer.
So there is no ETA. I wanted to play NFS Most Wanted but couldn't

hi guy, WECHAT, i tried downloading in both my wife and mine xperia z. You mean the Sony Select app? For some reason that app doens't let you search for apps, so it isn't that useful, unless I'm wrong of course.

NOt sure if I'm doing something wrong, but I don't have such app on my XZ. When I look for it in the Play store, I can find an official PlayStation app, but this just seems to be an info app to promote games for PS2/PSP.
The app "ChatON" is also incompatible it says on google play/store. But thatsnot true, beouse if you downlaod the apk file an dcopyed to the phone then you are able to install it and use it as normal, so strange that its says incompatibel in google's app store. Im now runing the ChatON newest version, I love this app as me and all my friends use it as they have S3 mobiles. Im the first now that have got the sony xperia Z. My first inpresson will come later in a post I can write it in if I find a section to write my first impresion in.
Candy Crush Saga is also listed as incompatible on the Play Store. But if you download and install the apk, it works fine.

I got a prb with the game called Candy Crush Saga. But couldn't open it after installing. I'm running Android 4.1.2 ASOP that cooked by a forum member.

Candy Crush is not x86. It's ARM, but emulated though libhoudini.

I know, that's why it isn't working, and that is why Google is putting "rules" into place regarding x86 support. So apps such as candy crush will run without emulation as x86 devices become more common.
