[Q] official update

I've been trying to update my P990 to V30a for a few days now. The LG Mobile support tool either says no update or this
Web Update is not available for this latest version,
Please update using your phone as below,
1) Select Menu -> Setting -> About Phone -> Software Update
software update says latest version. but it doesn't detect my phone version (attachment)
lg pc suite says i'm on the latest version
Probably not rolled out in your area then. If you can't wait you can always download it from any of the mirrors in the v30a thread here on xda.
Ps next time please post questions in the question part of the forum.
In germany LG Tool Shows no update, too. Think that we have to wait again till it works.
Otherwise flash the KDZ! I did last night, the result: I'm back to GB-MIUI. In my opinion LG's ICS is pure crap. Laggy like hell - unusable for me.

The tool looks for the newest dutch version, while ics (v30a) is only available as 'europe open'.
I suggest smartflashing the v30a from xda.

When lg update tool dont detect Model number, just turn off and then on again yourphone and Lg update tool will detect your Model number

about upgrade to jb

Today I read on facebook in group of fanatics Jena about update GT-S6500 to Jelly Bean.
Here is part of the text:
Q: Guys, is there any update from Samsung about when Jelly Bean will be available for SGM2?
A: There are words around That our provider (T-Mobile Croatia) said they'll be getting this month for firmware modifications and it Should be out in January or February. I can not tell how reliable That info is but as Samsung Announced, Poland Should be getting the first one JB.
Could you decipher your post a bit? Did not understand a word.
I guess that, along the way, what you meant to say and what you wrote got lost in the translation.

Exactly...
I m from poland and later i wil try conect to kies if its jb then shold work im on stock rom i will let you now or somone try ?
AFAIK after they release update, we will still have to wait few weeks for Samsung to release sources.. (kernel etc..)
Atleast this is how HTC is doing it.
Officially reach our GT-S6500 update and it counts most I'm glad about that. Samsung strengthens the market in this way, and Galaxy 2 is still in demand by Android users

My phone was on LRK but I'm from the UK
Mine was From Italia, i changed to LRK because Germany always gets the updates first (at least for note, or at least the last 3 major updates) and I'm from Venezuela..
I see no point on changing roms to brasil or any south American carrier.. They get the updates months after the official its released...

There is no official jb out yet, we're still waiting. There are leaked source jb roms which are as close to stock as possible like lsa or lsc but they still have bugs.

Btw, official jb is likely to be released soon, like within a month unless Samsung do as they did with ics and run over again, but judging by the leaks, that's doubtful I'd say.

Samsung promised JB to February?
That's good..
They have not promised anything whatsoever.

[Q]What is the diffrences between XXLPZ, XXLPY AND XXLQ4 Firmware?

Hi all, this may be a stupid question to ask, but i'm just a newbie here. I've been wondering what is the differences between these three firmware upgrade for SGSA GT-I9070? Hope that you guys can help me to clear all the differences. What i know is these firmware is upgrade version of SGSA from GB to JB. With all relevant answers, i appreciate it very much  Thank you in advance
I went to the Jelly Bean since December 2012 and now LPY version of any month I JB version, ie LQ4.
What I can say this last version is more stable with kernel Adi Pat, SIRI rc-4, I dont have any lag or FC, battery keeps me around for two days with a few hours of browsing, games, voice calls, without 3G, only WiFi.
Overall I am very satisfied with the current configuration.
Y was the first JB upgrade and then Z was released and now latest most stable build is LQ4. But still you require custom kernels to be lag free. An international official release is awaited this april

So, this mean the first version is a test and they upgrade to XXLPZ. later to LQ4 which mean almost bug free? i would consider to flash this LQ4 firmware but right now still enjoying JetMOD
now i download xxlqb wich is new than other? xxlqb or xxlq4
lqb is newer.
But is it better. I have lots of lag in it even with custom kernel as opposed to lq4
